Hopefully the Maritime New Zealand invesitigation into this accident will result in criminal charges being filed against the captain of the Shonan Maru 2 for his reckless and illegal behavior that led to the collision with the Ady Gil and nearly cost 6 people their lives. Non-violent protest is one thing, attempted murder quite another. Hopefully the continued world focus on illegal whaling by Japan will result in both legal action and economic sanctions.
