Obvisouly, in this one the models were required to be serious, to walk in the centre of the catwalk in straight lines and not to pose in the end. In every fashion show the walking style differs.

I know this video is distorted but 4:32, I saw the normal video, and even if she's naturally thin, she looks like she's either 14 years old or a starving child in a 3rd world country, same with the girl before her. They shouldn't be modeling, they should be in a hospital. The 2 make Lara (realistic curvy thin model) look fat in comparison. That girl in 432 is crossing her legs A LOT and she still has a GIANT hole between her thighs... somethings wrong here... seriously, poor casting.

All you have to do is starve and do a ton of aerobics! it's so simple and unhealthy and in the end, you die at the age of 50 from malnutrition. the poor models. my cousin was a model for Hawian Tropic once, and she said the models would have to dehydrate and eat ice chips and eat only 700 calories a day which is a third of what the regular person eats.

The job description of a model, is skinny and tall. Not big and fat. it is about the designers ambition to save the most fabric by making smaller sizes, not because its the preferred size. they too know that most women are real women of real sizes.

Models are skinny because the clothes are shown better, meaning all of the details and shape can be seen clearly as opposed to on a curvier body which could distort the look of the design. And the models today are so ridiculously skinny because that's what the beauty standard has become for some insane reason. It has nothing to do with trying to save money. It's directly inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's work, including his African, Chinese and 40s inspired collections. The only reason it looks so specifically "African" is due to the rich colors, the jewelry and the feathers. Other than that there really isn't anything particularly African about the clothes.
