  • a 22 channel midland radio can talk with a motorola 22 channel radio?

  • @josequinto17 That shouldn't be a problem at all as long as they are on the same FRS or GMRS channel.

  • can we use the drop in charger to charge rechargeable batteries..?

  • @kamarulx Per the instructions, no. Besides, if the voltage is too far off, it may end up ruining your rechargeable batteries too.

  • bought these and charged them for two days and it only has one battery. What do i do .HELP PLEASE!thank you

  • @MrAman345 i saw a pack on amazon for like 6 bucks

  • @MrAman345 That sounds like a bad battery to me. Sorry for the late reply on this one but I would have exchanged the entire set of radios to rule out the charger, the battery, and the radio itself. Hope everything turned out okay!

  • how well do you think they work with motorcycles? do you think the earpiece will be clear?

  • It would only take about a week of constant cranking to charge those batteries ;)

  • cheapest place to get it at than anywhere else is B&H website

  • Great Review.. Nice Job

  • hey, my GXT1000VP4 can only give out the furthest range when on channel 10~14, all the other channel, especially GMRS only give less than 0.2 miles, while the 10~14 can reach up to 3 miles as I've tested, why is it like that?

  • can the antenna come off to put bigger antennas on it.

  • @justicerobbie67 I've these, and it can't , the antenna is permanent because it has a waterproof seal .

  • @sonyhdguy yes it can

  • Can I use two completely different types of radio's like a Motorola Talk About and this on and to talk to one another if we were on the same channel?

  • @HugUrMom How is the build quality on these walkies? Do they feel cheap and plastic-y, or are they more solidly put together?

  • Thanks for the informative review! :-D

  • Hi,

did you test it in outside in open area?

    I'm interested in camping communication.

  • @osama966x Not in a wooded area yet but i have tried it in an urban environment. In fact, i did a video on this and put this on my channel too. When i am able to test them in a wooded area, i will make a video out of it too. Thanks!

  • What is the correct name of that radio base you showed?

  • @multijostin The Base Unit is the Midland Base Camp XT511. I did a review on this too and can be found on my channel. I hope this helps!

  • @sonyhdguy well it really depends on what you mean by "other standards" and "other people". there is proprietary technology in these radios to permit them to act as though they are cell phone within group call. to be honest, i think they are packed with more features than should even be in a radio and may not use 70% of it. These will function on gmrs and frs only however. hope this helped!

  • Thank You so much for this, helped a lot

  • great review! thanks for doing it!

  • @Chufas100 : Well here is the deal. In a dense area, whether it be by buildings or very heavy vegetation, you won't get the best range. i get just over a mile in my city (see video part 2). But then again, i was happy to get that range for where I live. I expect to see far better performance in a moderately dense woodland area and even better range on water or on wide open land. The listed range for the radios are under the best possible conditions....and maybe on a windless sunny day, lol.

  • I Just Buy it Two And I Like It So Far But I Triede and i get like mille i will be try and a flat and i let u know and by the way how far distance do u get so far?
