Ahhhh... I see what my problem was. I tried to do this with non-adhesive scrapbook paper and hot glue. The paper was really thick and unforgiving. I wasn't able to cover the "tricky part" on the underside of the shoe at all, so I had to paint it the closest color I could find. It looks pretty good, but not nearly as perfect as yours. :-)
As usual, fantastic tutorial! I could listen to your voice all day! I LOVE how you made these shoes! You're so creative & I love that you're passing on your creativity to others! :) (For some reason I did have a little giggle at 'eyeballing' parts, i.e. "if you're not comfortable with eyeballing..." My mind works mysteriously! I was picturing you with your eye almost popping out of the socket staring at the shoe!) Aaaaanyway, I totally use the Sharpie fix on my shoes too! :D
oooh - I love pole dancing, shoes and scrapbooking! :) What a great solution to getting a great new pair of shoes for an occasion you don't want to buy new shoes for, and adding life to an old pair of shoes.
As an FYI, check out 6pm.com for cheap shoes. That's where I get almost all my shoes from. I once got an 8 inch pleaser lucite heel for 26 bucks including shipping. Just type in "pleaser usa" in their search box.
Wow I would have never thought about using adhesive paper...I have a pair of shiny gold 7" heels and i paid $90 for them...now i wish I would have saw this video first
: ( But now i can make a pair of chrome pink ones..Thanks for the vid!

I really like how you decorated your shoes, it was really creative. Did you come up with that on your own?
