  • anyone know how to put a horizontal menu in dreamweaver with drop downs onto the banner???

to be specific, i made the banner in photoshop and the rest of the page but i dont want pics as my Menu i want to use actual HTML made in dreamweaver with the SPRY tool. however, it always pushes it UNDER the BANNER.. i want it on the bottom of the banner (possibly see thru, show only text) now i did manage to move it up but the drops downs are all messed up..

if youd liek to help please reply

  • Thnks a lot!!!!awesomee vvideo with patience by the designer to explain ....really good... :)

  • There is method in your madness, garethjones85.

  • I'm working as a teach and working with special needs kids how to media at the moment, this is will a huge help intheir web design course

  • Is this method still good for SEO? Do the words act as text on a website, that you can C+P, instead of an image? Thanks a lot!

  • get assistance from Professional web design and SEO call the folks

at White Hope Productions, you can call them at 1.877.312.7575

  • @CreativeSoftDesigns PCs can do everything Macs can do creatively and not. If you like the Mac operating system better, fine, but there is nothing with the exception of garage band and the imovie editor that PCs can't do as well. But if you doing professional stuff, you most likely aren't using those anyway.

  • gay computer, buy a pc

  • are you german?

  • Thumbs up if you heard "Adobe Showtoshop" in the beginning :P

  • GOOD

    MR BROOKER SITE PHOTO.......

  • Thanks. Real quick look at the basics. Helped me with my proj. Thanks.

  • You should zoom out a little bit, it makes me dizzy watching this.

  • I learned this a while back and couldnt remember all the process, you really helped me! thnx

  • 'here are my contact details'

  • Thank you for this video. It was really helpfull!

  • Nice tutorial but can you explain some of the basic's to people, don't think people understand the work-flow.

  • AWFUL tutorial. Everyone DISLIKE this. THis is the WRONG way to design a website. You should never, ever use a table, this is al wrong in general and I noticed a lot of ppl on youtube are doing this - this is clearly to mislead people early in their quest to learning webdesign, and minimize their competition. Pathetic.

  • @KKZReset11 well can you direct me to a better video? im not a beginner designer but im jus going back to the basics as its beena long time since i have worked. i need a video telling me how to design for all screen resolutions... i like tutvid channel but doesnt answer all my questions.

  • I have all those programs photoshop, dream weaver, but don't know how to use them. Where is best place to learn? did you teach yourself?

  • @silentsteve63 Watch tutorials online tutorials (YouTube, Deviantart, other webistes). Taking classes is a waste of your time as most teachers will only teach you what you need to know for a specific project, not the entire program. Other ways to learn is just keep making things, watch speed arts, and watch tutorials. That's how you can learn. For Dreamweaver, take courses because coding is difficult as some levels.

  • @silentsteve63 Next time dont download random stuff if you dont know where to start with.

  • thats all???

  • what is the size of the background? i mean the white background at the back...

  • @shazynie 960 x 900 - resolution= 72

  • @UncleBush100 (or anyone else) some people reccomend a width of 1600 x whatever... why is that and how do you make it work? im having a problem with designing for all screen resolutions.

  • @ukessko you can use 960 x 900 or 1600 x #### as long as the resolution is set at 72 doesn't matter what size. However i recommend you use 960 x 900 - resolution= 72 only because older computers will be able to view your website easier.

  • HORRIBLE! Tutorial...

  • nice ideas, i agree with champoinvideos what are the best dimensions for this kind of document

  • your too fast!!!

  • @FreakeSport His poor Girlfriend

  • omg lol i haven't got a slice tool and i have cs4 wtf...

  • Rather than using gradient overlays and colour overlay fx to change your vectors colours, you could have just double clicked on the vector colour swatch and changed it that way. Its more simple that way! Otherwise, it was fairly helpful.

  • i love your accent. <3 it's amazing.

  • Straight forward and to the point tutorial, good work. Helped me a lot. Thanks!

  • Thanks for this video, been a great help!

  • Good job

  • Thanks Man, this was really helpful.

  • The mumbling made it difficult to understand, and the mouse was all over the place, for someone new to this it is too fast, you have to pause alot!

  • very helpful! thank you.

    cheers mate

  • I wonder if the author would take the trouble of watching this footage to see how jerky it is! It moves quite quickly from one seen to the next , and at times shakes. His voice constantly goes up and down, as he comes close and then distances himself from the microphone.

I just had to stop following the tutorial half-way through!!!!

    These

  • I can`t find that in script....

  • hey, can you show how exactly you put the text over the background?? i've been trying that for days.... thanks

  • thanks for the help, i really needed this because i had no clue how to save it as HTML [[fail]] and for all of the people saying that it's too fast, PAUSE THE VIDEO AND PAY ATTENTION.

  • this tutorial is a piece of shit

  • soo fast!

  • it would be better if you just don't move the camera in every movements.

  • brilliant! so help full!

  • Have you ever heard of Camtasia studio?

  • maybe in britan camtasia is no allowed :P

  • @ainsleymg Yeah I would like to know also...

  • how do u know i changed my thing to @AINSLEYMG

  • the deminsions would be very helpful

  • @championvideos 1280x800 for nice HD Website resolution.

  • @xXxXZeXroXxXx Thx, I figured it out myself. :D

  • @championvideos Okay, no problem :P .^^

  • @championvideos The dimensions aren't really important, as long as they're sensible.

  • you select new document and theres an option called web, click that and it sets it up with dimensions for web page

  • stop lifting your mouse and slamming it like some retard?

  • im fucking getting pissd of how many times you have to fucking lift up your fucking mouse !

bam bam bam bam.. fucking hell u got it yet ?

  • Why is there so much spam on this video, it's stupid.

  • some kid show like a profressor

    /watch?v=L5cgBnc5m4Q&feature=related

  • HAHAHA this guy dont want to teach us

he wants show what he can do. lol

  • love this

  • nothing harder to understand than a mumbling Brit.

  • LMFAOOOO

  • What size and resolution did you use to create the size of the website ?

  • Your video was sped up, the audio wasn't.

  • could you make another video? its so fast its so hard to follow. tnx

  • Theagent9 is right. There is a video somewhere on YouTube that shows you how to save the CSS and take it to Dreamweaver. I've used it and it works, but there are a few specific steps involved.

I am looking for that video now. I like this tutorial. I learned a few cool things.

  • I followed your tut EXACT, but i dont understand how in DW you have all those div tags, and all that CSS where did all that come from?

  • In Photoshop you can convert the slices to div tags when you select the "generate css" option. You have to save images and HTML into a folder for Dreamweaver. Generate css does it for you so when you open up the HTML file in Dreamweaver it will have the slices as CSS (div tags) That option is in the 'save for web and devices' section of Photoshop.

  • can anyone help me, when i put the table in my site gets all weird looking and white spots are shooting across the page, any idea what i should do?

  • this is just a exampel. dont need to make it perfect. OMg noobs.

  • man that is worst ever ......... i can do better in notepad... lol

  • man its like im watching someone playing counter strike.... my head aches with all those movements of the sreen.

  • Hey man,

Your tutorial skills are far below your photoshop skills. In other words, you're good at photoshop, but are difficult to follow when trying to teach it.

    Thanks anyway

  • Perpub you are lame. If you don't understand html or simple css line, you aren't a web site creater.

    I subscribed. Thank you.

  • You don't know anything about me so stop making stupid reactionary comments. I was correct in what I said about his tutorial abilities in this video. Maybe he improved since then, but this one is not good. For one thing, you can hardly understand what he's saying.

  • 10x man it really helped

  • This is done horrible wrong, bad practices are shown.

  • I stuck!!! at 6:19...what I have to do? coz I cant insert table...

  • I liked it but you were a bit to vague and didnt really explain why you were doing things but thanks for your time making this :)

  • Thank you

  • I get all blanks :(

  • Very quick, and straightforward. Great.

  • the best

    very very gut movie

  • Nice Movie, Sweet Tutorial! make more, teach me!

  • I can't save for web and device :( someone please help me!

  • Hmm, the only thing I can think of is that there could be an issue with the Colour settings like you've got it set on 'Multi channel'. I just checked and you can't Save for web if it is set to that.

To see if that's your problem. Click Image>Mode and that will give you list, just change it to RGB or whatever.

  • what version of photoshop are you using?

  • cs3 m8 ;)

  • how do I export my work from dreamweaver to my web adress?

  • Nice Video. It really helped me to make my sites. I was wondering how you can think of a good (and original) layout really quickly?

  • Omg, do you have Flash, dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge.. CS3 ? :O:O!

  • good one here..

  • thinks dud

  • nice one thanks!

  • thanks a lot
