The thing with Hufflepuff is that it's made up of True Hufflepuffs+Extras, which kind of give it a bad rap. At the same time if you find yourself sorted in Hufflepuff and feel like you are nothing like a Hufflepuff than I'm sorry, but you did not fit into any of the other houses. Although Pottermore put me in Slytherin I think I'd have the happiest Hogwarts experience in Hufflepuff with a friendly accepting group of students.

Theoretically anyone can be placed in Hufflepuff since the founder accepted everyone. It really is about whether your other house characteristics are stronger.
