  • Due to this great video from you i decided to buy also a DMC-FT3. You can see in my video the results of this Camera

  • some photos look heavily edited especially 6:14

  • @myla041089

Not true! Check original, unedited photo on my Fotki page (last pic in Trash directory)!

  • Great video !

  • Great Video! Strong Work! To answer some comments for others- Given perfect conditions, red and oranges are the first colors to disappear, to be absorbed by the water, followed later by yellows, greens, purples, and blues in that order. Take into account that this is a general rule of thumb because light absorption can be affected by what is suspended in the water.Things like plankton or sediment can reflect or absorb colors before they would normally be absorbed in clear water.

  • Great photos and videos! I got mine 2 days ago and I can't wait to test it underwater.

  • @makoygaara

    TNX!

You will not have any problems with testing your new camera underwater: Philippines are beautiful country with tons of pristine coral reefs! I was there few years ago and best places there were Puerto Galera (Mindoro), Malapasqua, Bohol and Moalboal (Cebu).

  • @PrimozP Thanks for appreciating our beaches here. I also recommend Talicud Island on IGACOS (Island Garden City of Samal). Its near Davao City, Mindanao. About 15-30 minute ride by speed boat. :)

  • @PrimozP I am from the Philippines, you should also check out Bantayan Island in Cebu. :)

  • guys, which one is better, FT3/TS3 or Nikon AW100??

  • Buy what? Camera FT3? No, I bought it in Europe!

  • just one question did you buy it from Egypt, if yes from where? Thanks

  • Cool Video , good work !!

  • Save lots of money & have loads of fun at Jaz Mirabel Beach,Sharm El Sheikh.Egypt with our cheap holiday deals jaz.travel

  • Wow !!! Good video, photos and great editing. This camera is amazing. Thanks for your video, now i go to checkout in NewEgg.com, before i am not sure, but now i am.

  • primo i was asking did you change the rubber seal on the door of the camera if u know the part number can u let me

  • @ahmooy

No, I never changed rubber seals on any of my (11) UW cameras, despite every of my UW cameras survived 150+ hours in the water. Anyway, my FT3 (TS3) is too new (half year old), to to think about changing the seal.

  • Great video PrimozP! I really enjoyed it. Did you do your editing with the software that came with the camera (Super LoiloScope)? I just bought a DMC-TS3 also : )

  • @tennisraindelay

I do no video/audio enhancing and no WB correcting on my videos. I just trim them and merge them with photos. For this purposes I do not using software that came with the camera, I prefer CyberLink PowerDirector 9 program, which is cheap, !intuitive! and powerfull tool.

  • Primo just got the ts3 u can see my video on my chanel the camera is just amazing thanx

  • @ahmooy

Yes, it is an amazing camera. I wish you a lot of fun with it and I hope it will serve you well!

  • Hi, does the DMC-FT3/TS3 autofocus when shooting video?

  • @rfalpha

Yes, of course. Autofocus work perfectly even when zooming and with function "continuous Auto Focus" set to ON is even faster and more accurate.

  • Why is it that some of the pictures/videos are really blue, and others seem to have the correct white balance? Which camera made it blue, and which one made it look natural? Did you do post-processing to correct colours? REally nice shots here!

  • @DaSoggyRiceCake

Panasonic DMC-FT3(TS3) is the best compact UW camera at the moment, therefore all the movies (from the surface to 15 meters deep) has correct white balance. Other movies were recorded with (my wives) Pentax WS80, which is much cheaper camera and WB does not work so well, and consequently movies has emphasized blue color.

No, all the movies are without any post processing. They are just trimmed and the merged together with photos.

  • @DaSoggyRiceCake The Deeper you go the more the water filters out the UV Spectrum that is why you get these blue/green colors. Ironically the Camera is rated for 40ft. and most spectacular coral is within this range due to the available sunlight for it to grow.

  • Did u try bora bora

  • @ahmooy

No, I did not visit Bora Bora. I've seen much of the world, but not (yet) all. Some places are just too expensive or too difficult to access.

  • Try going to Maldives or Fiji

  • @ahmooy

Been there! Check my videos here, and my photos on fotki (check my profile data!)

  • Thanks

  • Primozp I'm gona buy a waterproof camera what do you recommend

  • @ahmooy

    Absolutely Panasonic DMC-TS3 (FT3)!

  • did u need a waterproof case for the depth

  • @ahmooy

No, all my photos and movies were recorded during freediving and snorkeling with naked (no waterproof case) cameras Panasonic DMC-FT3 (TS3) & Pentax WS80, at depths up to 14 meters.

In my other video "Sharm el Sheikh (Red Sea, Egypt) 2011 - how we take underwater photos & movies (FT3 & WS80)" you can see how we (me and my wife) recorded photos and videos!

    - deepest photo, 14 meters deep (video at 07minutes 11seconds)

  • Oh, how I envy you!

  • I love your video !! I'm heading to Sharm El Sheikh in a few weeks. Hope to see those fishes !!

I'm curious, what's the name of the music in your vid ? It's awesome !

  • @Cand3sco

Hope you will see lots of fishes!

All music in my videos are Prydas, "made" by DJ Eric Prydz. In this movie I used one of the latest Prydas, called Niton.

  • @PrimozP

    Thank you very much !

  • hey PrimozP i'm goin' to Sharm el Sheikh on september 1 hope i meet ya there :)

ermm..how are the hotties there ? and is it easy to have a drink with them ? :D

  • @luck002

    1. take a look to my movie "Sharm el Sheikh 2010 - how we take underwater photos & movies (FT2 & WS80)" to see how in reality I record this movies

    2. take a time, I need 1 week and 35 hours of inwater (7 hours of net underwater freedive) work

    3. try to be very quite, very still and fish will slowly get used to your presence (sometimes I need several days and 20 dives, each 50 seconds long, to take only one good photo)

    4. I recorded best movies/photos at depths arround 5 to 6 m deep

  • @PrimozP

okey, thanks for your tips..been watching your previous vid in Sharm el Sheikh..i'll try your tips (especially #3) this weekend..

    -regards-

  • now I have FT3 too but I have problem taking picture of fish down there..they all run away before I could take their pic..can you share how to get close to them without freaking them out..I do breathhold dive (freediving) too..

  • amazing viz, great pictures .. loved the ray, what species is it?

  • @92RABU

Considering that animal was almost 2 meters wide I think (and also dive master in local dive club when he saw this movie) that it is Spotted Eagle Ray.

  • nice sample.

  • @Primozp;

    Thanks for your reaction again!

It`s right that its a solid camera! you can do so much with it!

But 15 mtrs deep..... i`ll believe it, but i won`t try it :)

I go to Marsa Shagra in November this year for the second time.... I hope my panasonic will bring me great pleasure on holiday! But if i see your video, that won`t be any problem! :)

    Thanks!

  • @Tina, In october I will be back in Sharm again too, for 10th time. There is still an underwater oasis with beautiful coral reefs.Hope you will find a hotel with its own coral reef! With your FT3 you could do the best UW photos at a depth of 5 meters, where the sea is completely clean, but still bright enough. And use SCN Underwater mode both for photos and movies. In any case FT3 can sustain 15 deep waters without any problems. Deepest photo in my movie was taken 14 meters deep (07min11sec)

  • Hallo Primozp! Your video is amazing, thank you for that! In October i will be back in Egypt with my FT3 and i hope i can make such fatiastic photos and videos as you have made! lg Tina

  • TNX!

    I am using CyberLink PowerDirector.

  • @PrimozP Thanks for your reaction!,

I`ve bought last week also a Panasonic ft3, but is it still in a great/good condition?

No water leak of something strange on the camera?

And what is the max depth that you`ve been in Egypt with the panasonic?

  • @itsmekaiko

In last 6 years I owned 10 UW cameras and all of them are still in excellent condition. Of course, I had zero problems with this new FT3 camera too. It is most rugged Panasonic camera and I am using it even 15 meters deep: 5 hours every day and at least 1 hour (per day) at depths between 5 and 15 meters. In this movie deepest photo is taken 14 meters deep (07minutes11seconds)

  • what program did you use to edit your movies?

I like this movie, very nice!!
