there's a law prohibiting the harvesting and eating of turtle egss. the mayor (mayor michael farinas) should implement the law by closing the establishment serving the eggs and penalize or jail the owner. walang kaibigan, walang kamag-anak pagdating sa batas. let's protect all endangered species for ourselves, our children and our children's children.
Tasted it for the first time on my first trip to my parents' birth-country. I've missed it ever since that trip many years ago since they're a bit difficult to come by, here in the States.

Uncle Eddie pretends to represent Ilocano food at its best but fails to speak Ilocano the whole time. Is he a true Ilocano or is he just too proud to speak my language?
I think Uncle Eddie did all of "us" Filippino ppl who were born in the US a favor... I dont know how to speak Tagalog, let alone Ilocano, so it was easy for me to understand! Im glad he did :) Thanks!
wreckso, Uncle Eddie is pure GI. He is Eddie Boy Versoza, the eldest child of Engr. Juanito Tumaneng and Nenita Versoza, both deceased. He used to live at the family house at 237 Rizal St prior to migrating to the states in the 1970s. I should know because of I am his cousin.
Correction: The "Sea Grapes" are called Ararusip (are-are-ooo-seep) :-)

wreckso - SO quick to judge... Who says you have to speak Ilocano in order to describe the food. Why didn't you write your comment in Ilocano?
