To each his/her own....Harrison Ford is fantastic in every single one of these movies so far, he's just aged a bit. If they do one in 2012, he'll be like 70 then. "Crystal Skull" was nowhere near "Raiders of the Lost Ark" or "The Last Crusade", but it was still plenty enjoyable! (I enjoyed "Temple of Doom", but not as much as the other two older ones.)

@TheDalinkwent agreed, i mean yes the other three were based around more tangible and historically accurate artifacts but really the crystal skulls are real as well, they just took some more liberties than the others did, and yeah it def wasnt the best but it fit with the others as well. my only real complaint is there was too much cg especially in terms of the sets. other than that though i think it was solid.

@Greenwood4USA, Many people do fail to realise the Crystal skulls are real and the myths and legends do center around Alien's, not to mention seeing that the movie took place during the 50's in the era of Rosewell and Alien pulp movies, so Lucas picking this type of tone makes sense, plus Lucas wore out Nazi's and religous type artifacts, so i'm glad they tryed somthing new, it's kind of amazing people cry foul over formula, yet also cry when they cycle is actually broken.

Actually if you look it up, the crystal skulls are in fact real world relics, just like the theory of alien influence and that conquistador disappearing without a trace while hunting for el dorado are all correct. Even the paintings they come across are actually how the real world paintings of them are.

The only thing i think they should have changed was to not have them be aliens but in keeping with the other movies have them be actual gods. Simply cutting out the saucer and the alien too.

oh, and El dorado itself should definetly have had some more city to it, was disappointing that it was pretty much a single temple and that was it.

Overall a decent movie though not as good as the 1st or 3rd. Also they should have cut out the entire son part since it just felt out of place. Have him be her son, not his.

Are you kidding? Temple of Doom sucked? That's actually my favorite one of the originals (probably because ShortRound reminds me of my best friend from back in elementary school back then). All the Indy movies are great entertainment, but Temple is the best (and the reason that we now have a PG-13 rating...check the special features disc to hear Spielberg talk about that).

temple of doom was a very strong movie. it was the second act though - which is traditionally darker and more subdued. as a result no nazis (and some supernatural forces). This one too will be a supernatural themed movie - rather than focusing on the third reich.
