  • Its funny how some people say tgis is just science fiction and complete bs. Well people flying was sci fi and so was us going to space. Its only science that people have yet to fully understand

  • Recommandation for youtube, google. Start an online video University for degree's? I am going back to Physics and Chemistry before more complex Quantum leaps, but would love to do my studies for more degrees?

  • Homie has AWESOME diction :D

  • For dummies my ass I didn't understand shit lol

  • @846286425 it's for dummies not retards :)

  • gotta love incompetech . com music

  • I need String Theory for freaking lobotomy-patient morons.

  • @Craftman368 So thrilled you felt compelled to tell us this.

  • thanks, you just cleared a doubt!

  • okay.. i thought i was smart until this shit

  • When he started going into how small a "string" is I was like What!? and had to litsen to that part again.

  • im so fucking high i cant understand anything that hes saying

  • han zimmermans brother

  • not only might higgs still be a boso but now recently photons act up as well ? tsk ... 2012 all over again

  • oke this is for dummies, next question where did the strings came from ? how are they build ? and what do they do?

  • @TheHonkietonk I... Dont know.

  • So that's what they Sheldon keeps talking about on Big Bang Theory!

  • Or we can just be lazy and say God does everything. Specifically, the God of the Bible... I'm being facetious of course.

  • I dont get it, even though I'm at an A level in my Chemistry GCSE

  • YES CORRECT

    STRING THEORY IS FOR DUMMIES

For simple accurate understanding of KNOWLEDGE OF CAUSE

    try Walter Russell

  • I'm gonna watch porn, fuck this

  • i just took a dump, and i swear to god the string theory is in my ass, and my toilet...

  • Jack Black?

  • 2:19 so if we were to be able to see the end of our universe and beginning, could that possibly mean we could see future and past events? And we would possibly see other outcomes. so would we be seeing other dimensions because us in the 4th dimension can se the line of time and in the fifth dimension we would see the line of outcomes from different variable affecting us.

  • a string must be 3 dimensional because of frequency osculation duh!

  • I'm with Brian Regan - "I'm sitting on my couch with a bag of potato chips watching this documentary on String Theory... [ it's a bit over my head...] 'cuz I'm still working on my string CHEESE theory!"

  • @PaulAndrewsIAm LOL haha ... i have been youtubing for like a week because i have the most UNRELENTING cold ever and like your comment just made laugh ...

  • thanks for flashing his name up again half way through, being a dummy... i forgot it

  • Andy, are you reading this again. Stop trying to sound intellectual. Stay in school.

  • @16nowhereman The guy has a Bachelors degree in physics with honours and a Masters degree in mathematics. I fail to understand why you're doubting his intelligence.

  • Thanks Bozo! Now get working on that bozathron.

  • @VinylRhapsody actually hydrogen cars are relatively cheap. Look up the Honda Clarity. The only issues are fuel storage in the cars, and the fact that nobody outside of LA wants to build a hydrogen refueling station. (There actually are hydrogen stations in LA)

  • Its really disconcerting to 'not get' a presentation designed for dummies.

  • @NeoLeaver right there with ya man

  • I wish I still had my Gene Simmons wig, I'm jealous .

  • WHY DO U LOOK LIKE A FAKE ????? I MEAN.... LOOK AT THE OUTLINE OF HIS BODY...

  • @Sano22n I could be wrong, but he was probably standing in front of a blue screen (which is something that is used often in television and movies as well.)

  • Comment removed

  • bull shit, phisisissts cant even make a car run on clean fuel,we still use bloody petroil, and they dare come and speak about yhe univers

  • @prince4878 Not sure if you're trolling or serious.

  • @prince4878 actually they can, they're just really expensive. People have built cars that run on hydrogen. The Byproduct of burning hydrogen is water so it is clean. The cars just cost like 2 million. Even if they were priced the same as a conventional vehicle, it isn't like gas stations also have a pump for hydrogen.

  • @tovadespi is $ 2.56 enough?

  • If this is string theory for dummies the I feel absolutely insignificant!

  • if this is "for dummies," I must be retarded or something because I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND THIS SHIT.

  • @hataway22 your not alone...i've been really interested in quantum physics/science for years now, lots of reading books and watching videos, its like the information goes in my mind, but im not really listening to it or understanding it, lol.

  • @hataway22 Its because it is a theory and one cannnot know what one cannot construal, many persons simply are programmed within what they think they know and it makes them sound educated, if something doesnt make sense it likely doesnt exist, Theory is theory, so what is it all about anyway? What is the point within any exploration within anything physical? Think for yourself, knowing what you know, within how you know anything, as within any measure within any comparison.

  • @DrFruedienslip What is missing is any contextual preceptive operativeness, what that is is asking the question why do I want to know anything about physics or how my mind actually works and can become stimulated within any connection within any physical experience, what is behind all this science has been within raising consciousness because if we dont we simply become programmed within what we do day after day which is consuming and after awhile becomes rhetorically mindless

  • @hataway22 you're normal. people who believe in this shit are quacks. there's no evidence of any extra dimensions. that's all science fiction garbage.

  • wow your making this real interesting .... :/

  • he read a TelePrompter REALLY well.

  • They are no such thing as string theory.

  • @nbsbb2009 is*

  • Comment removed

  • @nbsbb2009

    *There

  • @nbsbb2009 Yes there is, its just a theory' however what is within any goal within any exploration but within understanding what we are and what we are any part thereof, so we keep making things up because there is no unification within any sciences and everyone is just a maverick, whats most important is that eventually when population reaches its climax its all going to get worse, or is that already here

  • So this is what Sheldon spends his time on.

  • @Conway79 no thats lenoard sheldon just supports lenoard in his belifes

  • Nice overview :)

  • Now do String Theory for Cats.

  • @mphello or string theory for potatoes

  • You see, I was told if a hydrogen atom was the size of our solar system, a string would be the size of a tree, making it billions of times bigger than what Zimmerman says here, but still billions of times smaller than an atom,

I think its just safe to say they are billions of times smaller than atoms...!

  • @dratsab1980, as a Zimmerman, let me provide a clue regarding your mistake. It begins with the outset of your premise, "I was told." How we are informed either takes us down the street or making a wrong turn to an eventual dead end. The test of your intelligence is how quickly you discover the true character of the road on which you are travelling.

  • @jonnyzistheone Well, seeing as I cant see strings, nor do I have access to a particle accelerator, pretty much all have to go on is ''what Im told''.

  • @dratsab1980 Maybe a tree which has just germinated from its seed where the seed has been excluded as part of the tree in which case tree size= hair size. (an unlikely explanation)

  • @dratsab1980 i have a superstring i keep in a jar near my bed. a bunch actually

  • @dratsab1980 Either it's a string or a tree, there are both massively smaller than a galaxy.

  • real dummies can't read such a book

  • Maybe Gravitons particles have the size of the string and that is the reason why we can't detect them

  • @antichavista1000 Gravitons are proposed to be strings that are looped, and yes, you are correct.

  • interesting indeed, i would actually buy that book.. except i don't feel so comfortable with a book sitting on my shelf thats calling me dummy..

  • @Zipinq The Dummy thing is just a joke, you should never take it seriously.

  • Is there a word for a dummier than dummies??? Guess someone need to put that in a dictionary....

  • my brain is in im trying to understand a GIANT MATH PROBLEM mode

  • @SheepTimeProductions This is science...

  • String Theory IS for dummies.

  • @chibraxial your either very religious, or just stupid... oh wait there the same thing.

  • @minigirv

Nah dude.... it's just that string theory is obviously wrong. And I'm ALL for science.

Did you find the Higg's yet? lol

  • @minigirv Someone who possesses your ability with English has no business criticizing anyone's level of intelligence. There's an old saying about a pot and kettle - every hear of it?

  • @BloatedSensations well he is right, they do mean the same thing (;

  • @Keim4ever Of course, they're not the same thing at all, and his statement is demonstrably false. I know it probably makes him feel as though he's clever, and it gives him a false sense of aid to his fragile self-confidence, but, in actual fact, it just makes him look like an idiot. If you happen to be stupid, you need to learn humility - otherwise you just end up looking even more stupid.

  • @BloatedSensations As far as I'm concerned there is nothing wrong with what I typed.

  • @minigirv Well, that's just kind of sad then. Let me give you a hint - here's a valuable life lesson: If ever you type to someone something along the lines of "your stupid", chances are that *they're* probably the less stupid out of the two of you.

  • I've already understood it thanks to other videos but I decided to watch this xD

  • ..i'd probably have to listen to this 50 times before i get it.. cause its just so boring..

  • @notfree25 He just explained a theory about how EVERYTHING works.. in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. How is that boring in any way?

  • @guusknelissen presentation.. its pretty much a podcast. the video could be a looping gif and there wouldnt be a difference. Also he goes a bit too fast for dummies.

  • @notfree25 Including cool video effects would only distract you from what he is saying. It's not that hard to focus and listen for 3 minutes is it?

  • @guusknelissen you are not that guy in the video are you? If you are GJ..

Anyway some animated illustrations would be nice. It would certainly help catch my attention.

"Thumbs up if you have Facebook in another tab!" (i dont, but still..)

When the eyes gets bored the hands gets buzy.

Anyway this is all my opinion. Maybe if you are a quantum physics or similar this will be a really interesting topic for you. But for me im more interested in daily/applied sciences with a touch of physics.

  • @notfree25 No I'm not the guy in the vid :P lol

Anyway there is in fact little to illustrate or with an animation orso. The story of string theory continues into the 11th dimension. Try to draw that haha ;)

    Be imaginative :)

  • @guusknelissen

Maybe i should make an animation for this audio track =P 11th? now im interested in dimensions...

  • @notfree25 a boring video with more than 25 likes and 0 dislikes?!

  • @Oxidizer25 Sorry.. would you prefer that i dislike it?

  • @notfree25 lol, it's your choice, I just said that a lot of people thought it was interesting

    (30 likes now)

  • wow... for dummies? i feel really stupid...

  • Nice presentation, but would have liked some analogies -- "Just the fact, mam" is hard to follow for us non-mathematicians

Without the math, this is one hard topic to grasp

  • A much shorter summary of string theory... imgs.xkcd.com/comics/string_theory.png
