is it just me, or did the horse's tail appear to be kinda stiff through most of the test? and i agree-mares and geldings are just as moody, if not even more moody (mares especially) than stallions
I would love for Isabell to beat Anky at the Olympics, but I can not see this happening. Warum Nicht is good, and will get better. Satchmo is also very good, but Salinero always gets better marks, maybe Isabell will get her chance in the GP, but the Kur, and gold will go to Anky.
nilat - Isabel is riding satchmo as er first horse at the olympics. She has a very very good chance of winning the GP and GPS. But i have no doubts anky will perform something amazing in the kur!
For sure, Isabel and Satchmo were amazing at Aachen. It was a shame that The Dutch only put their B team out as the team competition would have been closer had Anky and Salinero been competing. But I also think this was a shame the Dutch did not include Adeline Cornielssen and Parzivalfor their Olympic team as they were very good in the CDIO to finnish second ahead of all German riders but Isabel.
That is correct, I just checked. Adeline is their travelling reserve. For Germany, it is a shame that our selectors over-looked a very good Aachen for Monica and only made her reserve behind Isabel, Nadine and Heike. Monica rode a good test in the CDI to finish second with Whisper behind Isabel. Anky's test was a shame I think. Painted Black can be a much better horse than he was that day.
Yeh - I'm not that fond of Heike. I dont like how the horse is so short and tense in the neck. Yeh painted black can be very much better. I think its mainly because he is a stallion and its the middle of the breeding season in the netherlands.
Bonapart is naturally short in the neck, so sometimes looks tense, but he has improved over the years, so, it is hard to pick the team for Germany and Netherlands because there are so many good riders. I do not think it is that Painted Black is a stallion. There are stallions that could not care less. Mares and Geldings can be just as moody I think. There was an atmosphere in the arena, very tense. Maybe he is a sensitive horse and this affects him. Warmun Nicht, who came first was tense also.
Or maybe he was a bit nervous from the previous evening's weather - the area was hit by numerous thunderstorms which are good for no ones nerves, or just a combination of everything. His test had a good start and then went a bit wrong at the first Piaffe and it was hard to get his concentration back then, which was a shame.
I just watched Anky's kür from the same competition... Isabell has such a great seat, compared to her.
