Well, my friend sidesteps a lot, and kicks my ass. I play as Marth. I usually short hop and down C almost instantly, at a high percentage it will propel them high into the air where I will juggle them, then side C to finish them. When I go to do the short-hop-down-C on my friend, he simply sidesteps.
There's the obvious: DON'T SHORT-HOP-DOWN-C. But I can't. I love the move. If I do any other move he rolls away or into me. I usually beat him, but it's too damn close. Any good ideas?
Not all good smashers make tons of noise. Only the ones who try to do thousands of technical moves to look cool. (Or some characters that REQUIRE tons of technical skills like Fox, Falco, and DEFINATELY Ice Climbers) I make plenty of noise, but my friend can beat me 75% of the time and he barely makes any at all ;0

Do you Fastfall and L-Cancel it? and be sure to land behind him?
o yeah, and dont finish with Fair, Dair is better if you can, if not try a Neutral B. you could also use Bair if you want.
