still, he has an important point about not thinking things through too much- he is mostly an ear-player, not a theorist, but he plays really cool sounding stuff and he has fairly incredible technique, so for free? I aint bitchin' , in fact I like him better now after watching this.

I thought this was a lesson? Where is the actually teaching music and bass part? The guy is fast, that's great, but speed and clean sound isn't the end all be all.

@Disburden Lessons are not all about playing :) Sometimes you can gain a better understanding of something through vocabulary :)
