  • where do u get ur mantids

  • 30$ for a bug like this ? lol i used to catch so many on my summer vacation, near forests and in my orchards... and now i find out how expensive they are wtf

    :))

  • Well breed them and spread them.

  • where did you get yours? I used to have some but have never bought more because the places I looked are chrging like $30 each! for a bug!

  • that's actually a reasonable price, cuz I've seen places charge 40 Euros (about 55 $) for that mantis.. and they actually live for about a year and a half.

  • It's still expensive for me. I used to get them $12 each until the guy I bought them from went on break from this speicies but now he says he will try to start them up again. They are such great mantids and I never had a problem with them until I left them with my cousin while I was in vegas. I had put some picked flowers in their cages as I always did except that my cousin didn't take them out and replace them. My mantises were killed by mold. Poor things. I miss having orchids.

  • @Nakka92 no thats not a reasonable price $20.00 is reasonable there not rare

  • maybe not in the U.S, I'm talking about europe and more specifically Spain, where they are very hard to find since there are few mantis breeders around here...

  • @teamshintaichi there was one at jay c a while back, but a customer squished it :(

  • @Jewell262 Then I hate that customer.

  • @teamshintaichi i payed $76 for mine

  • wow, amazing. Are those real flowers? Is it possible to keep them with plastic orchids?

  • love the vivarium set up

    very nice

  • how lond does an orchid mantis live for

  • I'm not sure about this species, but most mantids live for an average of a few months more than a year.

A beautiful, yet short lived creature

  • @tartantulakid666 all mantises live for aboute a year and a half and do you have tarantulas or somthing

  • you are so lucky to have such a beautiful speices... ive never even seen one in real life... but i love them... they are such a cool speices of mantis... mine were carolina and chinese mantids

  • Amazing, slow motion is needed....
