Had the pleasure of meeting John back in the late 80's.

We were both on a flight from Edinburgh to Gatwick. Was reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at the time and he signed that book for me.

Last saw him live at the Royal Albert Hall in London in May 2007, where he was pushed onto the stage in his wheelchair, having lost one of his legs.

One of my all time favourite musicians. RIP John.

Great stuff again. Written about his daughter Mhairi I believe, when she was becoming a young woman. The other one for her was 'My Baby Girl' on the 75 album Sundays Child. Very nice guitar slotted in here by Dave Gilmour perfectly. This wouldve been a great concert to attend.
