  • thats a beutiful cemetery! i wanna rest there for the rest of my life..

  • People who never knew JM visiting his grave.

    What a strange cult.

  • @zaggy3110 <-----strange cunt

  • What happens to his bust

  • Very nice video. I visit JM's grave every now and then when in Paris. Beautiful cemetery to stroll around in. Thanks for posting this vid.

  • Its sad that this mans death will one day too will be forgotten.

    R.I.P. Jim

  • @BoBtheparrot7 yeah, in 10,000 years -maybe-, do you know who Aristotle is? Do you know who Jim Morrison is? Aristotle Died 2,500 years ago. Jim Died 40 years ago. Jim was a philosophical poet, Aristotle was a Philosophical poet aswell.

We havent forgotten Aristotle yet, and we wont forget Jim, don't worry dude.

  • what is the music?

  • Hey its Neuman he's almost human…..

  • I am glad Morrison is buried in the company of these other poets and musicians. It does seem fitting he should be there.

  • i know your still alive Jim you just wanted to get away from the press that was trying to destroy you

  • Hi Jim, I don;t think you watch too much you tube, but I hope you are happy, I saw you 2 years ago in Africa, I wonder if your in the states now. If so, please get in touch with clif. He looks just like you hun

love you, I hope to see you again before 2 years!

  • @thedoorsforever go kill yourself

  • @MrInarubadubstye what is your problem? you sir are a very sad soul. I feel very sorry for you

  • Comment removed

  • you are sick, and a very sad soul, what a shame

  • its gonna take a few generations to pass before we forget who Jim Morrison was but I doubt that will even happen because He's in Music history forever.... RIP My Friend.......... shadow

  • Was there ever any proof or a shred of evidence that Jim Morrison died? There is a lot of proof that he didn't. Why hasn't anyone answered us the question "Who is Bill Loyer" despite 10 years of inquiry. Because it is Jim Morrison who faked his death in 1971. The DOORS tried to carry on without him but they sucked and came running back to make money off his memory.

  • RIP Lizard King

  • I couldn't think of a more fitting cemetery for Jim to be buried in.

  • I nearly cried. :((

  • R.I.P jim my only firend the end :'(

  • This is excellent. Thank you so much. He is amongst some of the best, Wilde, Piaf, Montand, etc. Pere-Lachaise is on my bucket list.

  • Jim Morrison was such a troubled soul in life, I hope he has found the peace he was looking for....

  • Good to see the site is now clean of all the shit writing everywhere that used to surround it

  • I went there couple of years ago,in Feb.Père Lachaise is an amazing place. When I saw Jim's grave was a bit surrealist.I'm a longlife fan,and to think that he was there,he was REALLY there, and I was beside him...Weird!

  • It's Prelude in E minor, Op. 28 No. 4 by Chopin. Listen to the beautiful rock version by Jane Birkin called 'Jane B'.

  • WICH IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG???

  • Prelude in E minor, Op. 28 No. 4

  • R.I.P. Jim!!!!!!

  • muchas personas le hand e llevar hasta francia , flores ha morrison , mientras que a sus familiares muertos ni se acuerdan donde estan enterrados , jajaja que ironias

  • I don't think he ever knew in his wildest dreams that he was as loved by so many

    Peace brother

  • Beautiful video. I was there in 1991, and it was VERY emotional. It's great to see how much he's still loved by so many, and young faces that have come to appreciate his music and poetry. Also, that is one amazing cemetary. Paris was one of the best cities I traveled to. Never forget it.

  • i cant believe that next year in july it'll be 40 years that Morrison Is Gone :'( it sadden me ive hread of the doors since i was a lil kid... but i was deeply influenced and payed attention to them around last year and saddens me that hes gone such a legend... RIP Morrison... :'(

  • I was there that day so emitional - Rest in Peace Jim x x x

  • wow i can not belive it next year it will be 40 years sence he died R.I.P you will be remembered in all of us musicians

  • @callofpownd I'll be there.

  • @Onfa159 i would like to go but i cant

  • imagino las pedotas que se pondra alli con oscar wilde

  • Do Ray and Robbie know of your tribute, Dave? I've been a Doors / Jim fan for nearly 35 years, and this is quite possibly the most mature and fitting tribute to Jim that I've ever seen. Great credit to you for according the man the depth that he deserves. It may sound a trifle bizarre (but it's meant as a compliment) that I've requested the Chopin to be played at my funeral - hopefully later rather than sooner...! Thanks Dave - you're a star.

  • Pamela Courson rip only rented the plot where Jim is buried ...but Jim is very valuable to Paris so they let him stay lol !

  • That doesn't make any sense to me. How can one just throw a dead person out of a cemetery?? Somebody said Morrison was nearly thrown out back in 2006. Wtf???

  • Rest in peace lizard king

  • @whackjob1994 . I am resting quite nicely thank you. WAKE UP !!! Jim Morrison

  • wreckless disregard for life.

  • Just jaw and gristle and teeth now. R.I.P.

  • poor jim but what a way to go huh?

  • R.I.P. Jim

  • i like it how basically everyone is wearing a copy of jims red, white, and black necklace! HAHA! But I got 1 too, so im not making fun!

  • That graveyard looks so crowded , did they burry him standing up ?

  • Beautiful!

    It was very good!

    Good job!

  • Unlike other creepy videos, this is a Real good tribute to Jim.

    Thanks for posting it.

    R.I.P. Jim

  • Excellent tribute very nice, much better than the 24 hours in hell thats on youtube that is a total piss take and in disrespect to jim and all doors fans in general. nice job on this though!!!thanks.

  • Thanks. most videos of posthumous jim morrison are degrating and I hate them. but this, i love.

  • A hauntingly beautiful video that is a somber, reflective and fitting tribute to Jim. I'm very glad you were able to photograph the ceremony, and setting the video to the music of Chopin was a stroke of genius. Thank you for posting this, it's very lovely.

  • can you tell me what song this is please i really want to download it

  • The music is Frederic Chopin Prelude in E Minor, Op. 28, No. 4 - Chopin is buried not far from Jim, I used this music as a way of showing what great company he was with - Jim a modern master lying with the old masters, seemed kind of right in an odd way.

  • i think it's a fitting tribute to jim and all the other greats buried there. i'd love to go there and pay my respects, seems like a really peaceful and reflective place.

  • SO AWESOME~~~~~~!

  • And dont forget about Edith piaf.. she lies also not to far away from morrison.. I know this cemetery very well.. I lived one year very close to it in a squatted building across the street..

I went one time each month to jim his grave to light up a joint .. Rest In Peace Jim Edith And ofcourse Chopin!

  • Evocative and very sad. Beautiful.

  • what is the song?

    wonderful!

  • Man compared to the withering grass: for the wind passeth over it,and it is gone, and the place thereof shall know it no more.

  • very good! five stars

  • David Logan was Jim Morrison's best friend up in Oregon. I had the priviledge of talking to David tonight and I am very excited to say Logan is in process of creating a new website to document Jim Morrison discovered living in the pacific northwest. Please check out highmountainrogue website if you'd like to discover more to the truth that Jim Morrison is alive having faked his death in 1971.

  • lot's of crazies in this world.

  • Who minus'd this. You no nothing about the poetry of Morrison, you fuckn slave

  • Jim your words and music changed my life. The music of the Doors will live on forever. Rest in peace Jim.

  • nicely done. pictures speak volumes

  • HIS WHOLE LIFE WAS A TRAP

  • ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ

  • the strangest life i've ever known

  • Que cementerio mas bello pero triste!

  • we love you jim morrison u r songs isnt gonna die never

  • yOu can search on google...all have been with a strange way

  • Beautiful cemetery...Rest In Peace Jim, my eternal love...We miss you, we love you, we worship you...

  • why he was burried in Paris ?

  • cuz thats where he died...

  • bill loyer yes mate keep dreming that is all bullshit like elvis is alive and well in the greek islands

  • Nobody in the business wants to answer one simple question. Who is BILL LOYER? Why? Because it is the Jim Morrison formerly of the DOORS who is still living today.

  • Very effective music for this piece ..thanks - dougie in austin ...

  • does anybody know if jim is still in this cementary i heard that it was removed is that really true?

  • not since I last checked but there was talk about moving him, cause too many people would come to the site and do drugs, drink, fuck, whatever and just vandalize the property but pretty sure they havent

  • actually he was moved from the original site don't know when tho but this is still in Pere-Lachaise and i hate how somone stole the statue left on the original grave.... it was cool you can see it at the end of the doors movie which shows the grave site in 1991

  • The Paris cemetery is beautiful R.I.P JM....peace

  • i didnt understand 2,15 2,20 2,22 2,25

  • This was BEAUTIFULLY done. Its amazing the individuals that are also burried around him. That is an amazing place to be laid to rest. Take a look at those names.. RIP to all.

  • nostalgia.

  • why would someone mark this as spam?

  • R.I.P jim

  • does anyone know what ever happened to the bust of morrison that was on his grave, or did I imagined it?

  • I heard that the original was stolen or destroyed, but I thought it was replaced later. My hubby took pics of it about 15 years ago, so you are right, there was one!

  • its still there ...just a sad note...for years there wasnt even a marker on his grave, nothing labeled it...the bust was put on for the film.

  • hahah prelude by cholin. great choice man. lol whatch jimmy page play it it's great.

  • I know what youre saying is true, but there is still something not right about all of it. He went to France for how long? He couldnt stay indefinitely,he was still an American citizen, needing some kind of visa. The police knew this, they would have told Pamela,Alain Ronay, etc, that they would have to make arrangements to bring him back to the US.I have a feeling his family was contacted right away, they knew everything & made the decisions & kept it completely private, not telling anyone anything.

  • he left for paris in march 1971 and he died in july 71 so if plus than 3 months-you need a visa in france, after 3 month it's called carte de séjour, otherwise you're illegal here, but if it's true that his family made the decision to burry his body in french soil&keep it private...ohh that's so cruel, nobody knows the truth, even alainn ronay interview is not co cler for me

  • There are many details left out regarding what actually happened.General procedure dictates that if a foreigner dies, basic questions asked are, where is his family?who's going to take care of the remains?Pamela was not his wife & supposedly the French authorities knew that;that alone is a blank space, nobody seems to know what happened or they still wont say.

  • wether hes dead or alive morrisons, poety, music and entertainment are missed ,he was a great influence on music n its a shame he isnt still around today.either or we miss u man.

  • jim morrison might be alive....

pamela courson was the only one that claimed to see his body and no doctor said he was dead only pamela did

i think it's possible jim could have faked his death to escape fame

  • if any faked there death its morrison

  • naw it would be andy kuffmin

  • about 8 people seen him dead you dick !

a forensic scientist was with police and the fire brigade when he was pronunced dead of a heart attack. so shut the fuck up ! R.I.P JIM MORRISON.

  • why not you could be right who knows anything could happen

  • These good ol' guys never gonna die

  • Bye the way great video thanks for that

  • I went to see his grave when i was in paris for a few days wow if your a fan u must check it out if u get a chance I felt a real connection with and appreciate the music even more now

  • James Douglas Morrison number 3

    the lizard king

  • What is this music? It sounds like Chopin, but what piece is it?

  • Prelude in E minor, Op 28, No.4

  • i've never been there but it seems to me as if his grave is so lonely so small n ppl say that its the most visited of the whole cementary but i think he deserves better, a bigger monument,, thats just me of course, its just that he's been sucha a big inspiration to me..

  • our memory of jim will last an eternity and his soul will to

  • I WANNA CRY WITH THIS ....

  • I am so so sad, watching this vid and the back ground music.

It gives me chills; it looks so cold and lonesome in that place,

Oh! Jim wouldn't like it there.....sigh~~

    R.I.P. James

  • i was there. one of the sadest monments ive had

  • I cried! You think that Jim was alive and make us happy and he guide us,and, there, are his bones, cold and dirty and inanimate in the dark...But on the other hand I know that his soul, his indian soul is here, with us,with his songs and his love...Jim Morrison thank you!!In your name!

  • cheers to you. it's all about the thing we can't really explain. the meaning of life and all that. wish the 'jim-is-alive' crowd would call it a day. shame there's always someone around to exploit emotion.

  • I fell soooo sad.

  • I sense that he's in the flesh again. A young boy somewhere in the U.S.

  • Exelente tuve la gran experiencia de estar ahi y no hay palabras pude cumplir unos de mis sueños.

  • jim is gone.all this stuff popping up on youtube that he is still alive is untrue.before he passed away he looked 50yrs.old at the age of 27.thank you for this footage.i have not been to his grave, but would like to someday...

  • yes read the book no one here gets out alive good book

  • TE AMO YOYA Y KIERO IR A PARIS CONTIGO

  • must be the most prettiest cementery in the world

  • it is, i was there

  • Chafalota is the only person who seems to have some perspective.

  • to ciaran1943 what do you mean by that comment you could be an arsehole from shity ireland you are a doors fan and many other bands from that era whats up

  • totally agree with sunkcontrol death makes angels of us all love it r.i.p jim

  • DEATH MAKES ANGLES OF US ALL,isint that a beautiful poem,GIVES US WINGS WERE WE HAD SHOULDERS,AS SMOOTH AS RAVENS CLAWS.only JAMES DOUGLAS MORRISON could have written that.

  • SHIT AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS ANGELS

  • no one ever over 50 would off know jim anywhy love the music and hes history and let hes legend procedd us r.i.p jim morrison

  • None of us knew him,if he was an asshole, idiot, drug addict, etc.,who cares no opinions about that should be given, the only opinion I have about him was that he was a great poet, because Iv'e read it,and he was a great song writer and singer because Iv'e heard it.All the other bullshit opinions don't matter, only because you have a mouth you open it to spill shit out of it.You didn't know him,so you shouldn't give your stupid opinions about him.

  • Para sempre Jim...

    and music over...

  • mixed up.

  • @seamyo

I agree to most of what you said. But you said "By all accounts he was an asshole anyway so it's no great loss."

You can't say that other people shouldn't write that they miss him, beause they didn't know him.

One question: did you know him???

When yes, I'll be quiet. Otherwise shut up and think about what you write first!!!

    Great music at all!!!

  • I agree with yvish...you didnt know him, so how can you all say you miss him. The majority of you weren't even born when he died. Anyway, he was better off dead...if he lived he would be nothing more than a fat joke instead of the legend he has become. By all accounts he was an asshole anyway so it's no great loss...but still, great music, though their reputation would have been ruined if they continued on...they were finished before he died so he couldn't have picked a better time to check out.

  • You are a stupid bitch; very angry and dumb: a horrible combination. Jim Morrison was very unique and original otherwise he would not be remembered. Needless to say, a person like yourself would easily be forgotten.

    MADDY

  • I have a hard time wrapping my fingers around the concept too, but there's at least one woman whom I've never met that misses me... So, it happens.

  • jim was an asshole? if he liked you, he would go so far out of way to do anything for you.

  • i dont know why ppl gave you a bad remark, he was an asshole, but he also was a kind soul and would do anything for you .. just read the book NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE

  • i dont know either, its the truth. i dont even know how many times ive read that book at this stage!

    thanks........ciaran

  • i guess ppl dont like hearing the truth about their favorite artist, he was a heavy drinker, took a shitload of drugs. certain things he did through out his life, as i was reading the book i was like fuck, jim is an asshole of a person but then i kept reading and it shows you his good side, and then back to the asshole side i still lvoe the doors and jim morrison but its just the type of person he was

  • r.i.p JIM WE MISS YOU SEE YOU SOON

  • i miss you jim..............

  • you never knew him

  • gone but not forgotten i think thats the way he would want to be remembered like a kindered spirit

  • very nice very nice ... to something that comes off as sometimes a shallow tourist attraction ....

  • yeah i dont need to but i want to go !

  • JimMorrisonsWidow is right. You dont have to be there to be with Jimmy.Nice video.Remembring is all we need.He is always with us

  • I was there for the 36th this past July. You had Sandrine of the Lizard King Association in a lot of your shots!

    BOT forever

  • im only 14 and people might think im stupid for saying this but one day i will go to paris and be with jim i will spend a whole day there even might spend a night just to finally be with the man im sooo spiritly connected with R.I.P JAMES DOUGLAS MORRISON XOXO YOUR SPIRIT AND MUSIC STILL CARRYS ON IN OUR HEARTS

  • i dont think your stupid at all. i will go there one day myself. i wanna bring my brother and put my best pic that i drew of him at his grave

  • You don't need to visit his grave, doll.

  • if your spiritually connected sheri,

a grave wont add anything to what you already

    feel.

Down a quart of whisky to honor the lizard king.

  • HipBomb. I kile.

  • Nicely done......thanks from Philadelphia PA

  • I think Jim would have shead his hippie libberal skin and would have become more conservative.

  • Why we love so much Jim Morrison, I dont know, so sad story, i guess because he proves all the limits, he tried to be free, he tried to get out of the pain, i dont know, there is so much magnetism with this person, his music makes me fly away from this hole

  • he was a good guy. i remember that night at the club. i saw him just lying on the floor with two people trying to lift him up. but that was the past

  • youre saying you where there when he died? can you tell me more..

  • i dont want to mention it to everyone

  • rip jim morrison

  • Jim Morrison is still alive in Oregon, USA as seen at Rodeoswest and in youtube videos. A box filled with gravel was burried in Du Pere-Lachaise so Jim Morrison could escape. This music sounds so sentimental you would think that Jim Morrison really died in 1971- but he did not. This video really appeals to those who do not like Jim Morrison or take time to find the truth in life.

  • The "live" Jim video:

That isn't Jim's voice, and the pix aren't him. Stop your little fantasy and get a job.

Who do you think you're actually fooling with lame fakery?

  • The world wasnt ready for Jim Morrison, and probably still isnt. But I think people like Jim are put here to shake things up, make people think in other ways, and generally promote and facilitate our evolution or growth...

  • beautiful.....

  • well didnt believe it, because werent alive reali 2 no lol

  • i still think its so crazy that he died.

i mean its like no surprise that he died cause like of all the drugs and alcohol he was taking in.

but its still like hasn't sunk in.

i guess i just dont want to belive it.

    r.i.p Jim Morrison

  • personnaly i think theres no way he could have died from drugs or alcohal because he wasnt using drugs as much when he died and theres no way alcohal can cause that muh damage at that young of an age

  • well he had been drinking for a looong time

and he had taken major drugs when he was like in college.

and he was probably really stressed out about everything.

    and he had asthma

so that probably all had a little something to do with his death.

  • But alcohol is a drug. And it can do a hell of a lot of damage, depending on the quantities used, the person using it, and other variables. I landed in hospital once from just one night of drinking. Alcohol poisoning can kill.

  • Don't have any plans to go there but, if I did, I would put a copy of "ECCE HOMO" on the grave. He went to Paris and died there. If the French want to keep his grave as a tourist attraction, so be it.

  • What asshole stole the fucking headstone and what about the defimation of Oscar Wildes Grave-Big Shit-I was there years ago before blah blah blah-Jim

  • Jim Morrison probably wanted to be burried in paris because of the fact that all great artists started there en lived there too. That's also the reason why he went there, he wanted some peace and quiet, and i bet he knew he was going to die there.

P.S.: for those who don't know( but you probably will)his wife followed him 3 years later.

    R.I.P. Jim, we'll never forget you +

  • Morrison originally decided to go to Paris cause of the fact that all great poets and artists lived and started in Paris, because of it's beauty. There's a big chance he asked to be burried in Paris.
