Contrary to what many may think Blu burns are actually very awesome if done properly such as Arrow Burns or Mana Burns its virtually the same thing. Ive actually done this kinda stuff long ago and yes ofcourse stuff like this is overwritten by abyssea however i know i wouldnt mind doing one of these for memories sakes ^^.
Maybe not here, but blu burns do in fact work. They have 2 forms of draining mp, BOTH good, MP drainkiss (120-150 mp drain), and Magic Hammer (depends on mind and magic atk bonus, and any good blu would macro these equip/trait.) which can break 250 mp drain and do 250 dmg as well. add on a brd and a cor, for double evokers+hunter, and ballad+madrigal, and a rdm for refresh, along with their autorefresh trait. Its not hard to find mobs with mp to exp with especially in merit camps.
in the end it is, RDM, COR, BRD, and BLU/NIN x3, they can tank, they can DD, and in worse case scenarios they can heal themselves. From time to time me and my blue mage friends do blue burn merit pt's and we break chain 100 easy. Below level 25 its a little tricky, but areas with FoV, and using signet refresh helps loads. Blu burn pt's are good, but you'd have to know what you're doing.
bludgeon burn vs. bones is the easiest way to get a high chain of xp... even w/o band... i had a pt of 5 blu and 1 brd and we lvled 3 times in like half an hour... we were doing good. in the downtime between he casts of budeons, all the blu's have to do is cast headbutt
Branman852, that comment makes no sense at all. Not an efficient way to play the class? THEY'RE IN A PARTY. You must not be a very decent blu, if you don't get into parties, and cast spells. I've been in tons of blu parties with either a good brd.or cor, we now have one in our static who is a brd/cor, and we level so fast, and our blu, and sword skills stay capped
the only downside to blu burns at lower lvls when you spam bludgeon, is that Bludgeon gives the mob 30 tp, no matter what, so its gonna be spamming its TP moves like hell
Ya but Chain 5 in Gar absolute owns, and when you have refresh and hmp food it takes just a mere minute or so, as I showed in the video during 'downtime' which was like 40 secs MAX.
Our mp bars were full alot, even after a chain 3-4. Rest inbetween pulls (1-2 ticks max).
Nice video, but I think you should've shown since the beginning of the battle... BLU is a very nice and powerful job I like it :D hope I could find a Blueburn pt in diabolos XD
