This might be the best credit song ever. This, perhaps along with KH1's instrumental Hikari stood out to me as just fitting their respective games so perfectly.

The problem with making a sequel for this game, is that the ending had too much closure. Anything after the main storyline would just feel tacked on, and honestly, TWEWY deserves better. Although, if they had to make a sequel, they could conceivably pull off a Bioshock and cast it from the viewpoint of the opposing party (Big Daddies in Bioshock 2's case, and The Reapers in TWEWY's case).
@UnumCinereum OR, they could pull of a final fantasy/soul blazer type thing and have the sequelbe aboutthe reapers game, but have nothing to do with the original plot, go simultaniously with the original or simply make a prequel
Also, I don't know why everyone wishes for a sequel to the game. I think that the ending of the game is good on it's own. If anything, i want a game that has to do with another person's point of view; maybe something from the composer (joshua's) point of view, or beat when he was with the reapers.
This game embodied the last breath of soul that square enix had. Kingdom Hearts has become to "formula" (how annoying is sora's dialogue now?), FF13 enough said, FF14's failure, and now they won't make any of the games that we want. Example, The World Ends with You 2, FFVersus13, Kingdom Hearts 3, etc. Square Enix is the classic example of how money corrupts.
I'd love a direct sequel to this game so we could see the new side of Neku take on a new threat to Shibuya, and see how he's gonna deal with it. ^-^ I'm so happy for him, I wanna see neku again happy with his friends not just as the freaking ending to TWEWY ^.^ I'd love to see "The World Begins With You" as the sequel :3 Neku :')
@XxAngiexXRPI I agree completely. :D With Neku's cameo in KH:DDD it appears that Enix does still have an interest in the game. There was already a hint about a sequel somewhere and I really hope it happens. This game was too amazing and touching not to have at least of bit more leverage. Amazing gameplay, music, story, and characters I actually care about makes TWEWY one of my all-time favorites. ^_^

Square needs to make a sequel, but not a direct sequel. I can't bear another great RPG series die before it should. The writers for this game were excellent, and Ishimoto did an excellent job with the music.

This game really makes you think when you finish it. You think on how Neku was cold, shut-out, etc. in the beginning of the game. But in the end, he found friends. Friends that are true and will stay by him, no matter how hard times become.
@Dextroyfuller me too it made me so happy for him. All he wanted was to feel loved, that someone cared about him, and no longer be hurt be people. And in the end, that's exactly what he got :') seeing Neku take off the headphones and listening to the song is so powerful cause the entire song is about Neku and change he went through, how his heart and softened by making friends <3 when I saw the ending for the first time, I felt like I too could "take off my headphones" one day

The article is date just before Fall of last year and it definitely sounds if there is going to be a sequel though it won't be for a good while (several years) and most likely for the 3DS. We'll just have to wait and see.

It was a very good ending to a great game. All of the main characters survived and became friends. I wonder if there will be a sequel to this video game.
Joshua was dethroned, but before Erasure the Producer sent him to the RG. Now, the new Composer is after Joshua but he approaches Neku and his friends, resulting in their second deaths. However, the Producer manages to attach Player Pins onto them and gives them a way to enter the new UG to revive.

Every time i listen to this song i remember the true scope of this game. its deffinitly one for people to pick up and play if your into rpgs. it has a twisted yet great story line with fluid combat. everything in the game matters and i think its a gem. this game doesn't need a sequal since it finished up so well.
I'm not sure if I want a sequel though. This one was so mysterious, surprising, unique, and well made. There is still mystery, but the story has concluded. They can't replicate it again in the same way.
I really do want one, but I'm not sure it will be a good thing to do.

@5150hold actually, it was square enix and jupiter, not pluto, but yes i would agree that this should have a sequil, just sp long as they dont do what i call "pull a sega" on us, y'know, make a sequil just because the fans beg for it.
Simple, really. At the beginning Neku completely closes himself off from everyone around him. As we all know, when you wear headphones you're kind of stopping people from approaching you, since they tend to assume you can't hear them or aren't listening. But Neku's experiences with the Game cause him to open up, and he starts to try and understand other people. He's free of the psychological barrier that stopped him from making friends, so he gets rid of the physical one too (his headphones).
It's hinted a bit in the game's script. When Rhyme get's erased he says something along the lines "No... not again" hinting that he lost someone him. And like Hauuauuauuu said, in Another day Neku does talk about how he had a friend and they agreed to meet "at the usual spot" however his friend never came, it's later he found out he died and blamed himself for that.
This is all just speculation though, don't forget Another Day takes place in another universe and is a parrallel world.
Yeah.. Poor Neku. ;~;. I don't get why we didn't get to see Shiki's face. :S. Supposively if you photobucketed it, you'd find it... I wish Joshyy never shot Neku, and just learned to be friends again. :'[
This is flat out my favorite game of all time. The game-play was fun, the storyline was epic, the characters had depth, and the music was AWESOME! Usually games keep me wanting more, but after playing this i felt a bit more satisfied. Still the ending had the material for a sequel so.......God let there please be a sequel. ^.^

I thought just like you a few years ago, but then I realized that self-pity wouldn't get me anywhere and started talking to my classmates. I'm still shy and sometimes it feels like humanity sucks, but at least I'm on the right way. And I do like myself more now than I did back then.

Simple, really. At the beginning Neku completely closes himself off from everyone around him. As we all know, when you wear headphones you're kind of stopping people from approaching you, since they tend to assume you can't hear them or aren't listening. But Neku's experiences with the Game cause him to open up, and he starts to try and understand other people. He's free of the psychological barrier that stopped him from making friends, so he gets rid of the physical one too (his headphones).

It's hinted a bit in the game's script. When Rhyme get's erased he says something along the lines "No... not again" hinting that he lost someone him. And like Hauuauuauuu said, in Another day Neku does talk about how he had a friend and they agreed to meet "at the usual spot" however his friend never came, it's later he found out he died and blamed himself for that.
This is all just speculation though, don't forget Another Day takes place in another universe and is a parrallel world.

This is flat out my favorite game of all time. The game-play was fun, the storyline was epic, the characters had depth, and the music was AWESOME! Usually games keep me wanting more, but after playing this i felt a bit more satisfied. Still the ending had the material for a sequel so.......God let there please be a sequel. ^.^

usually after im done in a game and i see the credits roll, i leave mygames and wait for it to end.
but this actually made me watch the credits
this combined to the ending scenes made the ending worth it :D
