For people who don't know what a SLAB is, SLABS stands for Slow Loud And Bangin. It's a term used mostly in Texas for an old school car such as a custom Cadillac or Lincoln fitted with the chrome accessories such as grill, Rolls Royce goddess hood ornament, trunk belt buckles, and rear wheel covers.

However, this trend is nothin but East Coast style that has already been popular thoughout the U.S. since the late 1960's and 70's and SLABS are nothin but Super Fly cars Pimp cars.etc.

Yes ur right, u biuld them so they do stand out, u may see some people who drive 70's cadillacs with JUST a large custom grill and elbow spoke wheels, but overall it's jus a common thing than seeing a RARE customized cadillac wit Fly Lights(headlight covers), Tarantula shaped spoke wheel, Large custom but unique and detailed grill which is not ur common or ordinary customized cadillac or lincoln.

bigblockgm, there were other custom shops in the U.S. besides les dunham like Wisco Co. that had customized cadillacs but, it wasn't near famous as les dunham coach company. especially that Duhan does more flamboyant things to the cadillacs and lincolns like put on large sized grills that are larger than a normal customized grill along with the "Fly lights"(headlight covers).

Les Dunham had the original Pimp My Ride / Custom Car Shop. He was decades before Unique Auto, West Coast Customs, 310 motoring and all the rest. He was smart enough to not hate but calculate that cash.

In fact, if you get your hands on a 1971 Lincoln Contintal and a 1976 Mark 4, u will definintly have a collection alongside wit the cadillacs and it will turn heads to. Plus, Les Dunham who you see in this video also customizes Lincolns too besides the Cadillacs.

also has always been a lincoln person along side his brother who has always been a Cadillac person. In fact, my granfather used to own a 1977 Lincoln Town Car until he got a 1988, 1998 Designer Series, then a 2003 Designer Series with the ragtop.

Don't 4get that the old Lincolns from the 70s-are rare cars to as for the Cadillacs.

efficient like what Chrysler had done to their Hemi engines by having a system that only uses the extra 2 cylinders in their V8 engines that turns on depending on how fast your going. Plus, keep the interior as they where in the 70's but, have the seats with the new material that the company Benz uses inside their seats to have it comfortable as a Mercedes-Benz.

Now there are cars out there today that still has that 70's body to em like todays Lincoln Town Cars and Crown Vics due to the body-on-frame body, but others like cadillac don't even make their cars like they used to and the only thing in my opinion that's saving them is the Escalade but, it won't be for long since people r now sellin them because of the gas prices and the cost of mantianec.

U know what johnnycadillac, my grandmother had a 1972 Deville 4-door until my grandfather told her to sell it back in the mid-90's, and my great grandfather has always been a lincoln Town Car and Continental person alongside my brother who has always been a cadillac person.

I jus wish that Cadillac and Lincold goes back to makin these cars especiallly since they were reliable than todays american cars that depend so much on those computer tech stuff 2 fix on than these cars.

I live in the United States, where they make the Cadillacs, i don't own a car yet because like i said before that im savin up for one soon, it will po=robably be a 1972 Cadillac but, im not going to say which. And Altough Chrysler is tryin to get back into the "Big-car" business with the 300C. it won't be the same as they where in the 1960's-70's. But, hopefully Cadillac with all the technology they have can go back to the old body styles with the fiber-body, and make their engine's fuel

i don't everyone has that grill cause that grill is too big and the trimming is different, plus look at les dunham grills that has the wings in the front letting u know it's a true les dunham grill. The people who have grills similar to his grill but, there all clones.
