Thats a pretty biased statement. Toyota is only the best to Toyota loyalists. But Toyota has had its engineering and quality control problems, in fact, killing many people for years, like Ford with Mustangs, and Explorers.

And GM has had problems managing that hasn't anything to do with Toyota.

The CEO had to go in front of a congressional hearing about all there problems and there were reports, one in particular, where a guy in a Camry was killed in California because of sudden acceleration.

@bahrrt so u get all ur info from google?...lol...thats tough research....toyota was just won there case in court...they have not found any proven evidence of "unintended accel"...and media hype was into play..coincidence that it was around the time GM was bankrupt?...camry is the best sell car in the US...how many issues were found?...no one u kno with a camry will have this issue...before the hype they were rated most reliable car by both consumers and reviewers...and every camry i kno lasts..

Seriously? I have you to rely on that they just won some court case by your word without proof. If Toyota didn't have problems then why was there a congressional hearing about it.

GM may have been bailed out, but to my knowledge they didn't have to go in front of Congress to explain why they have mechanical issues with their cars, okay.

@rsxzx6r Why wouldn't I think the mainstream media isn't credible?? How do you know they tested and couldn't replicate it? They couldn't offer a complete explination to Congress about the pedal problems. Then, later, offered something that was found to be incorrect by others that had tested it. They were ordered to discolse company memos regarding the issues that they knew about nearly 10 years ago.

Dont continue to say they didn't have any problems when they clearly did.

How did you ever make a sound decision in buying a their products. I mean they do have a ton of commercials, ads on the internet, everywhere. You didn't rely on that, you hypocrite?

BTW, I drive a Chevy. And it has over a hundred thousand miles on it. Its because I take care of it, probably unlike yourself.

@bahrrt gud for you....not all chevy break down...but their quality is not up 2 competitiors...did u kno certain models of volvo xc90 transmissions need 2 b replaced with less than 20k miles on them? there was an investigation goin on ...turns out GM supplied the transmission and they all broke and needed to be recalled...but only on the ones where GM supplied them...the others were fine....i dont need news 2 tell me the quality of GM...but u do need news to kno about the acceleration issue...

Bash or praise them, u can say whatever u whatever u want to toyota but there is no denying that they are still the Best. They have prove themselves for how many years now. They are the only company that soundedly able to dethrone GM from the no. 1 spot. Almost send GM to bankruptcy, well they are partly owned now by the US govt.

There is a trick about the Hybrid-You need to buy one with teh VIN starting with JT and NOT 4T

u love ur camry hybrid? wow, that's a surprise if u really own one. I hate mines ('07 also) because it drives like shit & barely gets 30mpg (last time i calculated by filling the tank up, driving it, then filling it up again & dividing miles by the gallons it returned 27 mpg; the sticker at the dealer had said about 40mpg). regular 4 cylinder camry is 1,000,000 times better!!!!!!

I have the '07 camry hybrid & it's a very weak car, most of the time. The regular 4 cyclinder camry is light on its feet & gets great gas mileage. After driving the hybrid for a while, you'll grow to HATE IT.

You are completely misinterpreting my tone.

I am saying why don't you make a video that just shows us whats wrong with the car. I'm not doubting that you don't have one, I'm just saying that talk is cheap. Like, I could say "I have an LS460 that goes 0-60 in 5 seconds." That (like hating the hybrid) breaks from what we already know, so, logically, anyone would ask for a video to prove it, and just to share it with the world.

I don't doubt that you have one or hate it, I'd just like to see.

ON THIS VID look at 3:35 to 3:55 & listen. That will become ever more noticeable the more you drive the car & u will start hating it (listen carefully) & the transition from electric to gas motor is not so smooth at lower speeds.

I've driven the regular 4 cyl. camry for 2 weeks, because my hybrid's engine block had broke & the dealer was fixing it (under warranty for 100,000 miles, but only the hybrid power train) & they gave me the reg. 4 cyl camry to drive while it was being fixed) & i liked that car. recently I asked what the dealer what they would give me for my hybrid as a trade in (bought 31,000) & they told me about 17,000. Braking also sucks on this car, because it changes from engine braking to pad breaking

when it changes from engine braking to pad braking there's sort of a jolt you feel inside the car (not to mention the jolt you feel when the gas engine starts up, not as smooth as you think). & my brakes always squeel now (i've had the brakes checked, & they were okay, but they squeel so i have to have some sort of brake rotor resurfacing shit done).
