Unlike yours, my research went far beyond watching "Walking Tall". I have interviewed many of the "real players" in the story. State liners and law enforcement alike. My opinions are based on information gained not only from those interviews but FBI documents, autopsy reports, photos, reconstruction etc. Now, tell us what your opinions are based on, a myth?. You need to stop talking until you learn something..., anything about the real story. Do you have a problem with learning the truth?
@mikeelam2010 I agree with many of the things your research uncovered, but arguing with those that have made up their mind on here does no good. Some here steal oxygen that would be better spent elsewhere. I imagine that 1930s & 40s Germany would have produced similar comments if they had youtube. Blocking those you don't agree with is your privilege, but cussing a guy out because you don't agree is the height of ignorance. Keep up the good work Mike.
@mikeelam2010 WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH BUFORD PUSSER. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN VIDEO TRASHING HIM, ISN'T THIS ENOUGH? You need to shut the hell up! I wouldn't be surprised if ole Louise "Hascock" were a relative of yours! Truth is, you've got some kind of grudge and you need to get off your soap box if you don't want to tell what your TRUTHFUL and REAL interest is in this!
Pusser Is the Legend and busted up the state line mob and his family endured through all of his pain and suffering Buford was savagely murdered by cowards who even to this day try to discredit what buford has done im not gonna say names "cough cough mikeelam2010 cough" however the truth is we will never forget what Buford has done in Mcnairy county TN and those state line boys are still pissed about the devistating blow Buford gave them criminals and spokesperson for the mob god bless Buford!
@lionpunk1WWE Get your facts straight...Towhead White was sent to prison by Tishomingo County authorities. The IRS was about to seize the Shamrock from Louise Hathcock for back taxes on the Jack Hathcock estate. Jack and Louise divorced in 1957 and Louise only rented the Shamrock. Buford wasn't the one who shit down the state line.
@mikeelam2010 Funny all the hookers and moonshiners and illegal gambling was gone after Buford became sheriff hmmmmmm yeah I think Buford shut them down, and If Buford wasnt a threat to the mob then why so many attempts on his life then?Or did he fake them all?Wait a min he shot and stabbed himself.....nah I think you dont have a clue about Mcnairy county!
@lionpunk1WWE Read the FBI files as I have. There weren't really any hookers to speak of and no real gambling either, only the razzle game that was played at the cash register at the Shamrock. Most of Buford's gunshot wounds were non serious and to the left side of body (he was right handed) that should tell you something. There were two alleged stabbings on was allegdely done by his girlfriend Pearl and according to the county coroner the other never ppened at all. Myth! thats all it is.
@mikeelam2010 -----Who the hell are you & what makes you think your " research" is different than anyone elses ?? Do you have special privaleged info that only you can get ?? You did some research and did what everyone else has done---FORMED YOUR OWN OPINION --- your attitude that only your opinion is correct just shows your IGNORANCE. And you really need to stop talking like you know anything about the Dixie Mafia, they have nothing to do with your little thug buddies that THINK they are D.M.!!!
@auburntigersfan12 Sorry, but Mike Elam is TROLLING again. Can you block him from this video. This isn't the time or place for trashing Buford Pusser!
Anyone find it ironic how Buford was Born Dec 12th 1937, died August 21st 1974 and Pauline Pusser was murdered by the state line Mob and Mikeelam2010's father who was a state-line mob member on August 12th 1967. Shortly there after Buford dealt with Mikeelam2010's mobster father and busted a cap in that ass in self defense.
@valiantbros While your at it, why don't you proof that my father was a state line member...LOL Your all hot air, and just out to get a little attention.
@valiantbros LMFAO hahahahahah so freakin true Mikeelam is state line and is still pissed off about Buford whipping his daddys ass and taking all his daddys rot gut whiskey he done research and found out Buford shut down his mama,s ass too I would not doubt if his mama's Hathcock herself! After all have you ever heard somone defend those criminals as much as he has,but he is former law enforcement....-----yeah right Buford will and always will be a legend he cannot accept that!,how pathetic!
Only thing I'm curious is all these years later they STILL don't know how his car crashed. Given all the scientific CSI stuff they have now, did he really lose control of his car or did some unknown person(s) tamper with it?
@themississippikidful Sorry friend, but you are wrong. I recently interviewed the trooper that worked the accident. The Dixie Mafia was not involved. Simply too much car, speed and alcohol. Buford killed himself.
@lionpunk1WWE First of all it is persons (multiple). I see no reason to believe they conspired in their stories to make Buford look bad. Some of them didn't know each other. Now have you ever considered especially with the overwhelming proof that has been presented that Buofrd Pusser was capable of lying?
a real hero this man. as teenager i saw the motion picture, stars joe don baker as buford pusser. unforgetten. time to see it again. thx for upload this tribute video for
@DukeFanGermany In the real story, the locals alleged that Buford was a corrupt sheriff who demanded payoffs. The movie was nothing like the real story. Visit crimemyths for more information, interviews, reports, documentation and photos.
@mikeelam2010 YO, FUCKHEAD YOUR STILL HERE?????? FUCK OFF AND DIE.. Buford Pusser probably busted your crooked father as Sheriff of Mcnairy county. Thats why you are jealous of Buford, huh???
@valiantbros You don't even grasp the idea of a civilized debate. Perhaps you think your child like rants make an impression on people...they do, just not the kind of impression you hope for. Maybe you enjoy sounding ignorant.
@valiantbros As I said before you don't even grasp the idea of civilized debate. You think threats and foul language impress people. It impresses only the truely ignorant. Now, having said that, why don't you "man up" and provide a little documerntaion to that the Pusser legend is true? Thats right.. do as I did and look for documentation (police reports, medical reports, autopsy reports, photos, witnesses etc) and prove to us that Pusser is a true legend. the ball is in your court.
@valiantbros You might watch it he might tamper with your car like his state line mafia daddy did Bufords because Buford took his mommy out!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahahaha
@micmoable You need to research the real story instead of the movie. The movie is very inaccurate. Writers put a story together to make money and in doing so they made a false hero out of a man that was indeed a part of the problem in McNairy County. Most of what you saw in the movie is horribly inaccurate. The attack on Buford at the Club, him robbing the club, him shooting the female bar owner, the ambush were all portrayed innacturately. The facts are very different from the movie.
@mikeelam2010 You may be right--I watched the movie and read two books about him and the mob he fought--one of the books was called THE TWELTH OF AUGUST and the other was titled THE STATE LINE MOB --or something like that--it's been a good while since I read it----but I do believe the folks he was going after were very evil people who had no morals or qualms about robbing and killing folks to get money or whatever they were trying to acquire--in other words, they weren't angels you know
@micmoable W.R Morris wrote both books you mentioned and was a Pusser advocate. I have done some research trying to find the names of all thise people that he alleged were killed and had their bodies put in the Tennesee River. No police reports, missing persons reports or unknown bodies being found in the Tennesee River. Morris also told the storie of a seventeenyear old Pusser watching as Louise Hathcock murdered a sailor. No record of that either....all a lot of myth. visit crimemyths
omg what in the he** happened to his face? was that done because he had a spine & did his job or was that because of something else... I love what u posted altho i do want to know the woman is that BUFORDS wife? or another chippy
@lisa4615 it's where he was shot during the ambush on new hope road, the same one that his wife got killed in he had several restoration surgeries on his face, yes that is Pauline Pusser, that is her senior photo, thanks for viewing glad u liked it.
@auburntigersfan12 some folks deny buford was a good sheriff---I am not sure--just saw the movie and read a couple books--but that makes me no expert on his life or anything
@micmoable My advise is to forget everything you think you know and start from the very beginning of the story and look evidence yourself. The story of Buford watching Louise killing the sailor is a good place to start. Next look for facts about the attack on Buford at the Plantation Club where he allegedly got 192 stitches in his face and head,,,. look for photo evidence from that time frame. Move on to when Pusser robbed the Plantation club, etc... You will learn the legend is mostly myth.
@mikeelam2010 mikeelam---I am actually a writer myself---on youtube I don't usually try to be so grammatically corrct with my sentence and spelling---but I write for a magazine that has a rather large circulation and I am unwilling to divulge the name of that magazine only because some of my comments on the tube here have rubbed many the rong way---I am a very nonpolitically correct fellow who hates so much of the direction this country is headed in---so you see, I have enemies on youtube !
@mikeelam2010 I don't try to get too far into describing myself on youtube, but I am a writer for a magazine that has a large circulation--The reason I don't say which mag is that I am outspoken about certain things going on in this old crazy world--and some of my posts are riling liberals, blacks, and folks who don't have any morals at all---so I try to be careful and stay anonymous as much as possible---I stand up for right all the time and christianity constantly-----THAT'S MY WAY!
@mikeelam2010 Im going to tell you something that anyone with common sense could see. The only reason you are so hung up and totally obsessed with trying to expose Buford Pusser as a corrupt Law-Man , is because you yourself were/and are corrupt. Buford wouldnt take bribes like your sorry ass. Buford was a traight up law-man and a Legend. He was unbreakable and no one could corrupt him. He stood for what was right and wrong. No Matter the price.
@valiantbros Excuse me! When did you prove me wrong? I haen't seen where you have backed up a thing with photos, documentation, reports, photos or interviews as I have. I didn't make Buford's friends and foes alike say he was on the take as they volunteered that information. Why don't you try doing a little research rather than doing all of this grandstanding with NOTHING to back the position you have taken. The truth will set you free!
@mikeelam2010 I think you need to leave Pusser alone after all alot of Police and law enforcement respect the man= the legend you will never change this,Im sorry but your relying on info that may and probably has been corrupted No matter what you do or say he will always be the hero of mcnairy co.and your info is highly untrue ive seen your video's im sorry but its bullshit you think he murdered his wife!wtf he was on the take(why run for office then)he would of joined them not busted them!
@lionpunk1WWE You sound as if you have drank the Koolaid. BS? ...that describes what you saw in "Walking Tall" It was a movie that was very, very loosely based on a couple of events from Pusser's life. The point is that when examined, even those events don't live up to any scrutiny. Pusser was a hero to only some people in McNairy County. He lost his last election for sheriff and that was AFTER the movie was made. You need to learn the real story instead of spreading more BS.
@mikeelam2010 BS?Like I said before the supposed evidence you got aint squat! I have Family who lived In McNairy,Sullivan and Basically all over TN and some of them knew the Pussers and the children and the story i got told was Buford Pusser was a honorable man a soldier,Father, and respected high school football star and a not so great sheriff he lacked the skills but eventually he performed his job excellent he lost his election due to jealous ppl like you!I doubt you know the story!so yourBS
@lionpunk1WWE..., LOL... Wow.., some of your relatives knew the Pusser's. Big deal..., did they believe everything the Pusser's told them? Buford and Dwana said the movie was basically true, something that many others who lived the same story said is incorrect. Their versions of the story vary drastically from the version endorsed by the Pussers. I have interviewed many of these people at lenght., people who were right there with Buford...what have you personally done to learn the truth?
@mikeelam2010 Yeah,My great aunt and uncle lived In Adamsville,TN in the town of Hardin and my great uncle was lucky enough to be arrested by Buford several times for running moonshine god rest my great uncles sole but the fact is he did not like Buford Pusser and told my uncle and his children Buford was not curruptable and he also stated Buford cleaned up the county and was very pleasent to the ppl!It seems to me your jealous of Pusser because your not Pusser and never will be!
@lionpunk1WWE Yeah, and yours is just a another story that can not be verified. If Buford cleaned up McNairy County, why were there as many clubs and joints open when he left office as when he first became sheriff? If he was incorruptable, how did he manage to make so much money as sheriff that he didn't work or file an income tax report in 1971? He must have made some money somewhere while he was sheriff. Maybe you could tell about that. Wake up and smell the coffee.
@mikeelam2010 Well Your just gonna have to deal with it noones going to ever buy that pusser was dirty or killed his wife if that was the case he would of been charged but yet he wasnt noone is perfect and Buford was not a perfect man he was a human being and he was also having money problems until his movie came out,now im sure you cannot deny the fact that the Pussers were having financial problems before the movie was made?my point is if he was on the take wouldent he have had money?
@mikeelam2010 And to add to what your saying "Pusser did not have money when he was a sheriff" This was a issue with his family they did not want him to run for a second term,It was costing Pusser to much money to be Sheriff they destroyed numerous cars Pussers problem was he could not manage money now I will not argue that he misappropriated funds because in my opinion he did!But you can not say he had alot of money because this is not true!Carl Pusser had this put in movie 3 I think its true!
@mikeelam2010 OHH,and the only real thing that made The Pusser's money was the Walking Tall Trilogy and the recent remake with Rocky Johnson ,Dwana has openly stated this as well.IDC if you done research you can believe what you want, but the fact is you rely on research thats over 50 years old!And ppl who obviously were on the take and hated Buford,Hell I wouldent doubt if they had the second election fixed to make Buford lose after all the state line mob had to make that money!
@lionpunk1WWE I really don't know how to respond to someone who knows so little about the REAL story. What you believe in is the comic book super hero Buford Pusser..., not the real man.
@valiantbros I think your absolutly correct in everything your saying Buford was a man who was incorruptable and thats why the state line mob killed him as a revenge mikeelam seems like he is obsessed with proving somthing thats not true maybe he is state line mafia or his family is he claims to be a former officer of the law but if you ask a cop or officer about Buford Pusser and 99% of officers have respect for Pusser and even I tested it around where I live talking to officers he needs alife
The video was well done and the production quality was good, however a lot of the information that has been distruibuted to make Sheriff Pusser appear as a hero is inaccurate or incomplete. There are no records to show that Buford was ever beaten or robbed at the Plantation Club. He was later charged for the robbery of the same club. Many valid questions have been raised regarding the shooting death of Louise Hathcock as well as the August 12th ambush in which Pauline Pusser was killed.
@NWAfan Yes, I have the book and it is a good read. It is not totally factual as Morris tried to form opinions for the readers. It was as if he was trying to make adversaries for Pusser and some of it was a real stretch. Still, it is worth reading. Another of Morris books that is fairly good is "Buford". It came closer to the real story than did Twelfth of August or State Line Mob. The book "Tommy and Me" by Barbara Bivins also gives a lot of the flavor of what the state line was like.

The movie was shit. JD Baker's performance was fine, but the real Bufford Pusser was bigger and more intimidating.
Unlike the Mafia, the "State Line Mob" had no problem with killing police officers, and they knew they could get away with it.

@mikeelam2010 Funny all the hookers and moonshiners and illegal gambling was gone after Buford became sheriff hmmmmmm yeah I think Buford shut them down, and If Buford wasnt a threat to the mob then why so many attempts on his life then?Or did he fake them all?Wait a min he shot and stabbed himself.....nah I think you dont have a clue about Mcnairy county!
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago 4

Only thing I'm curious is all these years later they STILL don't know how his car crashed. Given all the scientific CSI stuff they have now, did he really lose control of his car or did some unknown person(s) tamper with it?

DIXIE MAFIA FROM "THE POINT" IN BILOXI MISSISSIPPI WERE TO MUCH FOR BUFORD, HIS CORVETTE DID NOT "JUST CRASH " ?
themississippikidful 1 year ago
@themississippikidful Sorry friend, but you are wrong. I recently interviewed the trooper that worked the accident. The Dixie Mafia was not involved. Simply too much car, speed and alcohol. Buford killed himself.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 You dont think the person you supposed interviewed could of been on the take or lets see...........maybe lied?hahahahahahaha
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@lionpunk1WWE First of all it is persons (multiple). I see no reason to believe they conspired in their stories to make Buford look bad. Some of them didn't know each other. Now have you ever considered especially with the overwhelming proof that has been presented that Buofrd Pusser was capable of lying?

@valiantbros You don't even grasp the idea of a civilized debate. Perhaps you think your child like rants make an impression on people...they do, just not the kind of impression you hope for. Maybe you enjoy sounding ignorant.

@mikeelam2010 Its you that sounds ignorant. I hope I never see you on the street, because I would knock you the fuck out right on your ass.
valiantbros 1 year ago
@valiantbros As I said before you don't even grasp the idea of civilized debate. You think threats and foul language impress people. It impresses only the truely ignorant. Now, having said that, why don't you "man up" and provide a little documerntaion to that the Pusser legend is true? Thats right.. do as I did and look for documentation (police reports, medical reports, autopsy reports, photos, witnesses etc) and prove to us that Pusser is a true legend. the ball is in your court.

a tough man fights the mob----doing what was right
micmoable 1 year ago
@micmoable You need to research the real story instead of the movie. The movie is very inaccurate. Writers put a story together to make money and in doing so they made a false hero out of a man that was indeed a part of the problem in McNairy County. Most of what you saw in the movie is horribly inaccurate. The attack on Buford at the Club, him robbing the club, him shooting the female bar owner, the ambush were all portrayed innacturately. The facts are very different from the movie.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 You may be right--I watched the movie and read two books about him and the mob he fought--one of the books was called THE TWELTH OF AUGUST and the other was titled THE STATE LINE MOB --or something like that--it's been a good while since I read it----but I do believe the folks he was going after were very evil people who had no morals or qualms about robbing and killing folks to get money or whatever they were trying to acquire--in other words, they weren't angels you know
micmoable 1 year ago 2
@micmoable W.R Morris wrote both books you mentioned and was a Pusser advocate. I have done some research trying to find the names of all thise people that he alleged were killed and had their bodies put in the Tennesee River. No police reports, missing persons reports or unknown bodies being found in the Tennesee River. Morris also told the storie of a seventeenyear old Pusser watching as Louise Hathcock murdered a sailor. No record of that either....all a lot of myth. visit crimemyths

@lisa4615 it's where he was shot during the ambush on new hope road, the same one that his wife got killed in he had several restoration surgeries on his face, yes that is Pauline Pusser, that is her senior photo, thanks for viewing glad u liked it.
auburntigersfan12 1 year ago
@auburntigersfan12 some folks deny buford was a good sheriff---I am not sure--just saw the movie and read a couple books--but that makes me no expert on his life or anything
micmoable 1 year ago
@micmoable My advise is to forget everything you think you know and start from the very beginning of the story and look evidence yourself. The story of Buford watching Louise killing the sailor is a good place to start. Next look for facts about the attack on Buford at the Plantation Club where he allegedly got 192 stitches in his face and head,,,. look for photo evidence from that time frame. Move on to when Pusser robbed the Plantation club, etc... You will learn the legend is mostly myth.

@mikeelam2010 mikeelam---I am actually a writer myself---on youtube I don't usually try to be so grammatically corrct with my sentence and spelling---but I write for a magazine that has a rather large circulation and I am unwilling to divulge the name of that magazine only because some of my comments on the tube here have rubbed many the rong way---I am a very nonpolitically correct fellow who hates so much of the direction this country is headed in---so you see, I have enemies on youtube !
micmoable 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 I don't try to get too far into describing myself on youtube, but I am a writer for a magazine that has a large circulation--The reason I don't say which mag is that I am outspoken about certain things going on in this old crazy world--and some of my posts are riling liberals, blacks, and folks who don't have any morals at all---so I try to be careful and stay anonymous as much as possible---I stand up for right all the time and christianity constantly-----THAT'S MY WAY!
micmoable 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 Im going to tell you something that anyone with common sense could see. The only reason you are so hung up and totally obsessed with trying to expose Buford Pusser as a corrupt Law-Man , is because you yourself were/and are corrupt. Buford wouldnt take bribes like your sorry ass. Buford was a traight up law-man and a Legend. He was unbreakable and no one could corrupt him. He stood for what was right and wrong. No Matter the price.
valiantbros 1 year ago 3
@valiantbros Excuse me! When did you prove me wrong? I haen't seen where you have backed up a thing with photos, documentation, reports, photos or interviews as I have. I didn't make Buford's friends and foes alike say he was on the take as they volunteered that information. Why don't you try doing a little research rather than doing all of this grandstanding with NOTHING to back the position you have taken. The truth will set you free!
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 I think you need to leave Pusser alone after all alot of Police and law enforcement respect the man= the legend you will never change this,Im sorry but your relying on info that may and probably has been corrupted No matter what you do or say he will always be the hero of mcnairy co.and your info is highly untrue ive seen your video's im sorry but its bullshit you think he murdered his wife!wtf he was on the take(why run for office then)he would of joined them not busted them!
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@lionpunk1WWE You sound as if you have drank the Koolaid. BS? ...that describes what you saw in "Walking Tall" It was a movie that was very, very loosely based on a couple of events from Pusser's life. The point is that when examined, even those events don't live up to any scrutiny. Pusser was a hero to only some people in McNairy County. He lost his last election for sheriff and that was AFTER the movie was made. You need to learn the real story instead of spreading more BS.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 BS?Like I said before the supposed evidence you got aint squat! I have Family who lived In McNairy,Sullivan and Basically all over TN and some of them knew the Pussers and the children and the story i got told was Buford Pusser was a honorable man a soldier,Father, and respected high school football star and a not so great sheriff he lacked the skills but eventually he performed his job excellent he lost his election due to jealous ppl like you!I doubt you know the story!so yourBS
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@lionpunk1WWE..., LOL... Wow.., some of your relatives knew the Pusser's. Big deal..., did they believe everything the Pusser's told them? Buford and Dwana said the movie was basically true, something that many others who lived the same story said is incorrect. Their versions of the story vary drastically from the version endorsed by the Pussers. I have interviewed many of these people at lenght., people who were right there with Buford...what have you personally done to learn the truth?
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 Yeah,My great aunt and uncle lived In Adamsville,TN in the town of Hardin and my great uncle was lucky enough to be arrested by Buford several times for running moonshine god rest my great uncles sole but the fact is he did not like Buford Pusser and told my uncle and his children Buford was not curruptable and he also stated Buford cleaned up the county and was very pleasent to the ppl!It seems to me your jealous of Pusser because your not Pusser and never will be!
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@lionpunk1WWE Yeah, and yours is just a another story that can not be verified. If Buford cleaned up McNairy County, why were there as many clubs and joints open when he left office as when he first became sheriff? If he was incorruptable, how did he manage to make so much money as sheriff that he didn't work or file an income tax report in 1971? He must have made some money somewhere while he was sheriff. Maybe you could tell about that. Wake up and smell the coffee.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 Well Your just gonna have to deal with it noones going to ever buy that pusser was dirty or killed his wife if that was the case he would of been charged but yet he wasnt noone is perfect and Buford was not a perfect man he was a human being and he was also having money problems until his movie came out,now im sure you cannot deny the fact that the Pussers were having financial problems before the movie was made?my point is if he was on the take wouldent he have had money?
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 And to add to what your saying "Pusser did not have money when he was a sheriff" This was a issue with his family they did not want him to run for a second term,It was costing Pusser to much money to be Sheriff they destroyed numerous cars Pussers problem was he could not manage money now I will not argue that he misappropriated funds because in my opinion he did!But you can not say he had alot of money because this is not true!Carl Pusser had this put in movie 3 I think its true!
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 OHH,and the only real thing that made The Pusser's money was the Walking Tall Trilogy and the recent remake with Rocky Johnson ,Dwana has openly stated this as well.IDC if you done research you can believe what you want, but the fact is you rely on research thats over 50 years old!And ppl who obviously were on the take and hated Buford,Hell I wouldent doubt if they had the second election fixed to make Buford lose after all the state line mob had to make that money!
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
@lionpunk1WWE I really don't know how to respond to someone who knows so little about the REAL story. What you believe in is the comic book super hero Buford Pusser..., not the real man.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@valiantbros I think your absolutly correct in everything your saying Buford was a man who was incorruptable and thats why the state line mob killed him as a revenge mikeelam seems like he is obsessed with proving somthing thats not true maybe he is state line mafia or his family is he claims to be a former officer of the law but if you ask a cop or officer about Buford Pusser and 99% of officers have respect for Pusser and even I tested it around where I live talking to officers he needs alife
lionpunk1WWE 1 year ago
The video was well done and the production quality was good, however a lot of the information that has been distruibuted to make Sheriff Pusser appear as a hero is inaccurate or incomplete. There are no records to show that Buford was ever beaten or robbed at the Plantation Club. He was later charged for the robbery of the same club. Many valid questions have been raised regarding the shooting death of Louise Hathcock as well as the August 12th ambush in which Pauline Pusser was killed.
mikeelam2010 1 year ago
@mikeelam2010 Have you read the book the state line mob by Morris if so is it worth getting.
NWAfan 1 year ago
@NWAfan Yes, I have the book and it is a good read. It is not totally factual as Morris tried to form opinions for the readers. It was as if he was trying to make adversaries for Pusser and some of it was a real stretch. Still, it is worth reading. Another of Morris books that is fairly good is "Buford". It came closer to the real story than did Twelfth of August or State Line Mob. The book "Tommy and Me" by Barbara Bivins also gives a lot of the flavor of what the state line was like.
