So far as I can tell in the lyrics, the group is saying that a one world government is the answer to failed local governments. Shit... the government isn't infallible and their mistakes cost everybody so why would anybody want a global hierarchy? I love the musicality of Extreme but I question their message because musically talented people don't necessarily have common sense. I think musicians should not try to take on political or moral messages unless their common sense rules their message.

In North Korea, if you stand against your leader you risk being imprisoned or shot. In any country where Islam is the ruling faction, anyone who refuses there creed is a dead man walking.... and you think that the whole world is gonna roast marshmallows together one day? How naive.

Motley Crew are dumb jock rockers (going by their lyrics + interviews) with minds of 12 year olds! Extreme are pretty, intelligent jock rockers! Glad they've reformed for a tour and all. They're obviously still misunderstood! Great song, true today - are we ever going to change, will we always stay the same?!?
