  • Glucerna makes a special meal bar (among other products) for Diabetics that has 34 grams of carbs. It says it's specially formulated to help control blood sugars, more like make your blood sugars go outta control.

  • @aleterra Well, it's the processed carbohydrates that most Americans are eating which is why we're making a big deal about them in these videos. But of course the carbohydrates found in foods like broccoli, cauliflower and green leafy veggies, for example, are EXCELLENT for you. The key is controlling insulin rise and all those ingredients I am reading on the back of these "health" foods will SPIKE insulin levels. Thanks for the clarification.

    Very true, much of those "carbohydrates" in those foods are not the good kind. This is unfortunately what most Americans consume and what leads to health issues. Carbohydrates in fresh fruit are also good for you as well.

  • Love these videos. Weight control oatmeal tastes like someone poured a crystal light on the go pack in it and added water YUCK.

    And I was never able to stop at two fatfree fig newtons. Or 5 ;)

  • @alycat25 LOL! I don't even want to think about it. And I used to eat whole packages of that "smart choice" fig newtons before.

  • @livinlowcarbman oh yeah! Eggs cream butter coco oil cheese various meats.. Not as colorful as a basketful of general mills but it works for me!

  • @mshealthfirst Weight Watchers dieters HAVE to eat a lot of carbohydrates because you're not eating much fat. We'll find the "Weight Watchers" brand of products soon. :)

  • I always get a kick out of the grocery store until I get up to the check out and I see a family with a buggy full of lunchables, cookies and party pizza and then I get sad for their children. I always wonder too what people are thinking when they look in my cart!

  • @shaunbeatsface If your cart is like mine loaded with high-fat foods, they probably think you're killing yourself and your family, too! LOL!
