@thunderheart530 Chromatic scale helps build accuracy, speed, hand synchronization ,etc. Sit down with a metronome and start practicing speed with the chromatic scale, start slow and day by day make the metronome go a little faster. If you don't improve in a couple of weeks.. You're doing it wrong. :P This is an 8 finger tap technique and the picking hand needs some good exercise with the chromatic anyways.

@thunderheart530 A lot of great virtuosos would disagree with you-the phrases are from "Flight of the Bumblebee" which has been considered to be a great song among classical virtuosos, and a challenging chops buster that has often been seen as an opportunity for young players to prove themselves. As far as "when the hell" you'd play it: whenever you want to blow someone's mind.
