I read this fact in Early India by Romila Thapar and a Commentary by D N Jha ,two most eminent historians of India, where they state this fact that Aryan were migrants who slowly migrated to India, Persia from Central Asia.No wonder the text of Vedic Aryans and Avesta has so much of similarity.Invaders and Migrants will be migrants only ..still i see some Brahmins tracing their origin to Israel e.g J Dixit's Chitpavanism.

if aryans did not invade then how does one explain the territorial stand off between the aryans and dravidians, non mention of anything dravidian in the vedas and the epics, a north (aryan) dominated political history and present of india ? historians are now of the opinion that cities of indus valley were created by proto dravidians. why did the proto dravidians vacate their highly urban cities ( the most developed cities) of its age and migrate all the way down to the south of india.

Arguing Aryan Invasion theory as completely myth is as bad as accepting it. There is no doubt that Indian population belongs to various ethnic stocks. Aryan infiltration, nonetheless might not have happened as predicted, we cannot rule out the possibility of diffusion of Aryans with indigenous people. Still there are several attempts to trace this saga through archeological and biological means (DNA Test). People feared to truth and fanatics can only refute Aryan diffusion or invasion.

As per Puranas, Ramayana was in treta and mahabharata in dwapar yuga!! So, ~3500 BC is what is dated history of Indus valley civilization based on archeology! KAlyug started 5000 years ago!! more information can be found in vishnu purana! As I said earlier, what matter to me the most is Dharma and how to uphold its values!

I consider them sacred as well!! As i said earlier on, what i care about is Dharma and how to uphold its principles at utmost level in my life!!! Mahabharat and Ramayana teaches us about Dharma and this is what is most important to me rather than wasting my time proving that they were real events!!!

Yoga vashishtha, Patanjali yoga sutra etc explains the practical methods of achieving higher stages of consiousness and ultimately get enlightened!! Yes, there are slear proofs. Vedic and asnskrit languages are of the same linguistic root as almost all european languages, and genetic evidence - R1A1 haplogroup is not of asian origin. For example that genetic mark is most common among nordic Russians and upper brahmins in India. Deal with it.

Have you read Gangadhar Tilak's book ''The arctic homeland of Vedas''? Star contellation mentioned in vedas could have only be seen from northern part of Asia and Europe 5000 years ago. For example vedic language or sanskrit are extremely similar to all slavic languages or even latin. Plavate-pilvati, patati-padati, dhimati-dumat, ekada-nekada, dva-dva, tri-tri (numbers)...as well as genetic heredity, and other comparations.

@ksvmla I agree that the current position of India is poor and indeed very sad. But that does not mean that historically we have been that way. Eminent historians like Niel Ferguson say that China and India together contributed to about 50% of world GDP not too far in history (about 1600 AD).
