really like this video, very similiar to the workouts i do although the barbell push at around 6:15, i tend to try and make this a more explosive movement rather than slow push, in sports as wrestling and mma i find the explosive element beneficial, what weight was the log or tube you used early on, very good video
I have 2 questions if u dnt mind im a high school wrestler 135lbs 5'4 n districts coming up wat kind of workout would b good for me in season at the moment n when I come off bcuz ima wrestle in college
@RaverHardstyle813 : Greetings and thanks for writing... in season training is all about maintaining if you are already in wrestling shape. In addition to your daily wrestling interval cardio at practice, I would try to do a total body resistance circuit 2-3 times per week at this stage of the season. I highly recommend the sandbag workout that I have posted... great for wrestlers since it is low-cost and includes the grip training that is so important on the mat. Good luck... Kick some ass!
@RaverHardstyle813 : Post season should focus on a mix of strength/power, cardio, and flexibility. And don't neglect your legs! Us wrestlers tend to focus on the upper body, even though your legs and hips generate power and reduce fatigue on the mat.
@TodayFitness how about conditioning to fight i mean i wanna have my muscles more endurance when it comes to wrestle you know i mean arms,my heart,stamina..best regards from poland
@MDrizzle619 You can typically get tires for free from a place that sells tires. They apparently have to pay a bunch of cash to throw away the old ones and are happy when you take them off their hands. I got all of mine from a general truck tire place near my house. Free is Good : )
@MDrizzle619 : Tires can be picked up for free at most truck tire places. They actually have to pay to get rid of them most of the time, so they're happy for people to take them off thier hands : )
I typically have the exercise "stations" set up in pairs (ie. tire pull/sledge chop... walking lunge/clean,press,squat thrust) to allow for supersets with 2-3 wrestlers per station. Once each station has completed 3 sets/supersets, they switch stations.
