  • Well you can take advice...just dont expect that advice to be any good. Take things w/ a grain of salt. Like everything else.

  • that is a good ass story haha

  • Eddie's a fuckin pimp

  • @DecadentDetective wow, you're quite forgiving.

  • Like Eddie said, if you truely have what it takes and healthy level of confidence--you'll know what you are capable of before anyone else. It is also worth mentioning that it is always best to use discresion when deciding who to reveal our dreams to. What they don't know won't HURT YOU!

  • Eddie just VERIFIED what I have INTUITIVELY know for years including LEARNING THE RULES AND FINDING THE BEST WAY TO BREAK 'EM!

  • the person that is in any entertainment dont need advise,as they have a clear vision..bottomline and talent..

  • @ltuomela

    Agreed!

  • he recently said that he is going to return to stand-up later this year

  • @wyleout

    and?

  • Master comedian! master thespian!

  • eddie do some more stand up we miss you

  • @w0ggy: Ok. Seriously, F*** that "It's for his kids." He's damn near 50, and his youngest kid is in their teens. That excuse doesn't fly. He just doens't feel like doing standup. It's hard work, and tours are more for the fans than for profit. At this point, he's made millions off shitty movies, that takes maybe 15 to 20 days of shooting per project. Why trade that in, just for a taste of the glory days? If he reeally wanted to come back to the stage, he'd have done it by now.

  • @jacobnathaniel29 if he does a stand up special he gets 6 figures anyway but there is more in doing movies...

  • where is the full interview?????

  • you'll have to download it from mininova. youtube took the other parts because of copyright issues.

  • @stavlaft type in "Eddie Murphy James Lipton" on youtube. the video is an hour long

  • lol

  • dude.. eddie's laugh

  • he hasnt done stand up in so long because he has kids and apparently he doesnt want to do that type of stand up bcos of his kids, thats y hes making kids movies n that for his children

  • I thought that he was going to spout a load of self-serving tripe, but that was actually a damn good story.

  • "Who knew... that cussing that much would have worked that well. Good thing you didn't listen to my advice!"

  • Or "Who knew it would actually work?"

  • I dont get it either.

  • Since my first reply i have learnt that it means,"who knew" he would become famous

  • do u know y u dont get it loool look at ur user name ImAStupidBoy loool

  • I never heard that before. Very original.

  • OOOO ook y didnt u so in da first place excuse my rudeness

  • lol

  • Whats the name of this show?

  • Inside the Actors Studio.

everybody who's anybody in hollywood has been on there.

  • I was wondering if that was what he meant, but was not sure.Thank you for your reply

  • Dangerfield's a old pro, nobody's got his style.

  • who is the host of this show? he's been impersonated too!

  • James Lipton, he has been impersonated by Will Ferrel, he has him down real good, I believe they're close friends.

  • awesome story, eddie is HILARIOUS.

  • Nice! Eddy is hilarious and often unappreciated, which he will tell u time and time again. Consider though that few people who really change the world are ever appreciated in their own time frame. I don't have a thorough knowledge of the bible or any book of religion, but I believe there is a verse that states, A prophet is appreciated everywhere except in his own home.

  • only the new people don't know how talented he is

    us oldies we love him

  • "Hey, who knew" CLASSIC!!!

  • its his face, when he say "who knew"

  • Who knew!

  • LEGEND!

  • se um dia eu passar na rua v esse cara não vjo esse cara não tem nma da de huimildade e simplicidade orgulhosos besta imbecil só é amigo e popular com as cameras assis tia ate filme dele mais agora nem suporto ve-lo

  • What a a fucking legend! I would give my left for him to do 1 more stand up.

  • Eddie is a comic legend

  • BRILLIANT MAN

  • i dont care what anybody says. he's right up there with richard pryor as the greatest of alltime. richard as a standup, eddie as a comedic actor. man is an underappreciated genius. should have been nominated for oscar for nutty professor.

  • I agree. He's right up there with the greats. Harlem Nights showed that.

  • I dont know if Eastwood is being totally serious but Harlem Nights is great, underrated and missunderstood

  • I don't understand why I can't find more clips of him from interviews/movies on youtube. He is such a great actor.

  • I was wondering about that as well. What I've found is that a) he rarely does interviews to begin with and b) alot of his material has been removed by youtube because of copyright restrictions.

  • @rell2972

err.. oscar for nutty professor? i dno bout that - amazing man though

  • @ajnode The man played several different characters and played them so well that you didnt focus on the fact that it was him playing those characters. Each one was believable. If Tom Hanks can win an oscar for playing a simpleton why shouldnt Eddie be nominated for his work in that movie. Much more difficult to do what he did

  • @rell2972

Because one was a heartfelt story, one was a jovial story. As a rule, if there is a FART joke in a film, it should not win an oscar.

  • @ajnode Im not saying the movie should have been nominated but I blieve eddie murphy's performance was oscar worthy. There were even a few heartfelt moments in the movie that he did a good job with.

  • @rell2972 Damn Right

  • i actually would love to see him in stand up again.

  • hell yea

  • i can see eddie eventually doing so show dates liek broadway or ceasars palace as he gets older. I'm sure it will be awesome.

  • lul "hey, who knew"

    pretty epic line

  • He ought to go back to standup or at least make better films.

  • I can wait. These days he's funnier when he's not in a movie.

  • Would you pay money to see him do a one-man show n Broadway? I would.

  • Im sorry but he is a much better stand up comedian, look at Ice Cube making family pics when he was a gangsta rapper before. Everyone has become so tame. Its time to revive these guys
