  • The right to peaceably assemble does not give us the right to take over any property that we want. The courts, who's job it is to interpret the Constitution, have repeatedly ruled that governments can make laws and issue regulations regarding the "time, place, or manner" of such assemblies.

    A restriction on setting up tents and overnight camping is well within the law and does not violate our Constitution. The constitutional rights of these people were NOT being violated.
