  • Great song...great choir!

  • My heart is forever deeply touched by this marvelous miracle

  • "There arrived in this land a man whom they called Quetzacoatl... His countenance was white and he wore a beard. His manner of dress consisted of a long white robe... He was considered just, saintly, and good, teaching them by deeds and words the road to virtue... He gave them laws and sane doctrine... He said that in the year that would be called Ce Acatl, He would return and then His doctrine would be accepted, and his children Lords and heirs of the earth."

    -Ixtlilxochitl, 1600AD

  • @LDS4Life71 His writings are great - they completely verify the Jaredite story as well! I haven't been able to find the complete writings online yet. Might have to buy the book. ( :

  • @Dalessiokiller Get a Kindle :D

  • The Savior will not only stay by us in our times of need. He can be our best friend if we allow Him to be. This song is so beautiful and the spirit truly testifies of this. Thank you. :)

  • This is a really amazing songs.its touches our heart and makes us to remember and try to be like Jesus..

  • common!! Let's get the sound the same on ALL videos ! ! ! One song we have to turn it up; the next blares out like a Pentecost Church Revival, lol

    Blessings to all!!

  • The truth is there is God. There is Heavenly Father, There is Christ and there is the Holy Ghost that testifies the truth. When i was young i questioned where i came from, what is the reason why i'm here and where i go after this life? Science has no answer to this questions. But i found the answer when i became member to the Church.

  • @soda008 (part 2) Hopefully you'll be open-minded enough to check out this vid: 'Science Saved My Soul'. From it, I think you'll find that science can breed inspiration just as well as superstition can.

  • @NiNj4xNUTZz I'll check out the video, and I hope you can be open-minded enough to realize the fact that I don't need to be like you to be happy. Everyone finds their own path, and as long as they're doing what's right (i.e. respecting others and guiding them to be happy, rather than debasing their views) then I truly don't think it matters.

Thank you for the discussion though, I felt like I learned a lot. Best wishes. /salute

  • The music is beautiful. Don't get me wrong. But if our goal is to believe in as many true things and as few false things as possible, why do you guys succumb to the pathos bombardment that religion inflicts. The fact that you *feel* something isn't a testament to that something's truth value. Jesus in America? - multiple gods of multiple planets? - modern revelations/prophets? - "levels" of heaven?

At what point does all this just break down into a bunch of speculative, metaphysical nonsense?

  • @NiNj4xNUTZz Religion in and of itself is speculative, metaphysical nonsense. That's what makes it hard to have faith. The reason we believe what we do is because God (in the LDS church, at least) tells us to. God tells us to trust in our prophet, and believe that the prophet is God's go-to-guy. We believe what we do because God tells us to.

Forgive me if I'm coming off as patronizing, but I merely wish to educate. I leave these words with you in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

  • @Soda008 --"We believe what we do because God tells us to."

How do you know that God is telling you this?

  • @NiNj4xNUTZz I don't know anything without doubt other than the fact that I exist. It is through faith that I believe that I won't float off in to space.

This is the same faith that I have that God guides me & the people of my church. Nothing is of certainty (other than existence). That's why it's called faith.

It's a complicated concept, paraphrased from Descartes.

In short: I don't know anything, but I have faith in what I think is truth.

It sounds dumb, but if you don't believe me pray.

  • @Soda008 --"It is through faith that I believe that I won't float off in to space."

That is not the same kind of faith as believing in a god. The notion that you won't fly off the earth is supported by (both) empirical and scientific evidence.

Let me rephrase the question. Why is it that you think that God is telling you to believe anything? What REASON is there?

  • @NiNj4xNUTZz The reason I believe that God is telling me to believe is because it makes me happier. It may be a crutch to rely on faith to find happiness, but if that is the truth, so be it. I'm okay with that. The reasoning I have to support why I should stay in the church is before I came to the church I was more lost and scared than I EVER was right before I joined. After I found the church I found the peace I searched so hard to find, and I felt I finally found my home.

  • @Soda008 --"It may be a crutch to rely on faith to find happiness, but if that is the truth, so be it."

I appreciate your honesty. But happiness and peace can come from other, more substantive places (like science or poetry [2 things that aren't mutually exclusive BTW]). 'Faith for the sake of happiness' is hardly a realistic (or even practical) world-view foundation.

  • our heavenly father and jesus christ lives

  • Good choir, but, but comeing from (ABIDE WITH ME)by W. H.MONK(1823-89)come to WALES for ture singing

  • What is all this bickering about whose religious belief is correct or not... ? The fact is that we should all believe in the Lord and that's that. I am of the feeling when someone starts to criticize the other, it's because he has a " chip on his shoulder "...

  • In my country we have no Mormon Church but for me it is the song that really matters

  • @wiriad There are very very few places in the world where there are no members of the mormon church. Even my dad's friend who lives in Jordan in the middle east is allowed to attend church regularly.

  • My predilect hymn. Very inspired.

  • @imationqwest The Book of Mormon coincides perfectly with the Bible. I, as a member of this Church, along with all other "Mormons" love the Bible and study it alongside the Book of Mormon. We believe in Christ, worship Christ, and study his word. The Bible, along with the Book of Mormon testify of him and share his word. God is perfect, as it says in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I encourage you to read the Book of Mormon and see for yourself how it coincides, not contradicts the Bible.

  • my grandfather sang this to himself every night to give him comfort while he was captured and held prisoner in a concentration camp in Poland. during World War 2. My grandmother had gotten a letter stating that he had died. He tried escaping 4 times only to be re captured 3 times. Then on Christmas Eve he showed up on the front doorstep of my Grandmothers home. This song meant a lot to him ever sense ^.^

  • @alchemyrox I am glad you shared that. It is wonderful

  • THE BOOK OF MORMON CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE!! God is perfect He does not contradict Himself, the Mormon book is a lie, Mormons WAKE UP and read the bible.

  • @imationqwest

it doesn't contradict the bible, as you can see on the front page of the Book of Mormon, it say's, Book Of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ. We also read and study the Bible. Hope it clears you.

  • @imationqwest you should definitely read the book of Mormon before you go and say stuff like that, instead of listening to what anti Mormons say because they have no idea either...don't tell us what we believe because you don't know. if you did you'd be LDS.

  • Within my heart a welcome Guest, within my home abide!

O Saviour, stay this night with me, behold 'tis eventide!

  • Good night all; believe this eternal truth as it is reaching to the eternities of Angels!

  • all i can say is....its a beautiful song.....i always song this where i go....in the street,in our home,in the church...everywhere jejejejejeje

  • Excellent!!

  • beautiful

  • This is the most beautiful song Ive ever heard. I was raised in the church. Ive been inactive for ten years, my twenty's. Ive lived a hard life. The lord has been with me in my darkest hours. I am slowly seeing the teachings of my youth. I guess that is how I am and how I may gain a true testimony. This song makes me weep. This is a testament of how Ive never been abandoned by the savior.

  • @gunyunder thanks for the comment! how have things been going? hope things are getting better for you..the book of mormon helped me tons when i found myself in tough times. keep strong the church and God need you!

  • @gunyunder You posted this almost a year ago, I hope you have passed through the hard times to better ones.

    Peace

  • @gunyunder expound on this and go and do as the lord asks of you aand you will be blessed even more

  • @gunyunder There is always hope. You can always come back.

  • Oh que coro tan lindo, me gustaria escucharlo cantar algun dia los clasicos "Oh Happy Day", "Go Down Moses" o "God is trying to tell you something".

  • And the biggest thing Jammie is, to each their own. I don't think there is one way to get to heaven and if core values are followed in any religion,I think we're all on a good path.

  • Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

John 10: 1 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

  • @sexynat50

Friend, Jesus saya He is the Way the Truth and the Life. That no man comes to the Father except by me..That means Jesus Christ....Not Buddah, Mohammad. Confuscious or any other means. We have to accept the plan of Salvation in order to get to heaven through Jesus Christ , the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. I hope you find that WAY!

  • To Jammie. I too was raised as a mormon and while I don't follow all the teaches of the church I would completely disagree with your remark "...the voices is betrayed by what this church teaches."

The church teaches awesome things about loving your fellow man, integrity, faith, family values and love of God and Christ. The church also invite it's members to do their homework on other religions and find the truth out for themselves. Which is why is still have high respect for the church.

  • " This is the 1% "

  • @jammies3 I am willing to accept that you are being truthful when you say that you were raised in the Church, however I cannot understand why you seem to think that members don't investigate the Bible. As a member of the Church I have thoroughly investigated the Bible (more than once) I find that the more I read the Bible, the more my faith in the Church is reinforced. I know that I am not the only one too. The most faithful members are invariably those who have studied the scriptures the most.

  • This my best christan song

  • Belíssimo hino.

  • I am Christian..and I do not know anything about the Mormons..But I know that this choir sing very well..and are famous..so, God bless you all over there..I like this choir.

    T.D. from Norway

  • @tobobba Thank you. :)

  • We Mormons are also Christian with Christ at the center of all of our beliefs and worship services. We declare that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that there is no other way to return to heaven than in and through Him. We also declare that the Mormon Church is the same church He organized on the earth 2000 years ago and that we are led by living apostles and prophets. Our invitation is not to take our word for truth, but to learn about us and pray to God to know if we really are true.

  • Wonderfull!

  • This is 'the' performance of Martin Hofford's prayer. It is simply nonpareil. It is wonderful.

  • Awesome song!!! This is one of my favorite church hymns!
