Does anyone know if there is an online Training and Certification Program in Zhan zhuang by itself? I do not care who the teacher/instructor is but only if there is an online certifcation program. I am learned in at least two different Chi Kung practices, this Standing Poll Meditation and Chi Kung will not be that hard for me to Master.
This is very powerful stuff. A great master of Yi quan martial art of paraplegic when he was a teenager was cured just by practicing this 'Zhan zhuang'.
This exercise is a required foundation training exercise to help nourish and build up internal core power critical in another ancient martial art- Xingyiquan.

In the book 'The Way Of Energy' it goes up to the ninth position. Is there any material that is higher then that or a book that is more advanced then the way of energy?

Is it OK to practice indoors? I live in Calgary and long winters don't allow me to practice outdoors. But I am afraid that the heavy air indoors may be not beneficial.
@silversnow2008 put on a warm jacket and a beanie and stand out in the woods... i live in Germany and it is freezing cold here, too. Does not need to be an hour, 10 minutes is enough for starters.

@worras2007 In Lam Kam Chune's book: The Way of Energy, it says that most people can BEGIN see the results of Chi Kung exercise within 100 days of dedicated practice. To lose a lot of weight I imagine it would take a couple months. But in the first 100 days you will start to feel the changes taking place. Does this answer your question?
@worras2007 start by doing 5 minutes a day and work up to 30 mins having the patience to take this art form slowly is part of the training so do not skip ahead until you have mastered the fundamentals and feel comfortable relaxing into the posture and breathing from the stomach
i would recommend buying the book and reading it several times if you want to take this form of internal energy cultivation seriously,also a balanced diet and the correct amount of water a day goes without saying
I appreciate these posts, but they seem to differ in order from the way they're listed in your books. I don't understand why the closing posture, where the qi is "sealed" into the body, isn't listed here? Sealing the qi after doing these exercises keeps me awake for a long time (till 3 a.m.), which I don't understand...even if I seal the qi for 30 seconds. Any idea why? I did follow the instructions in your book precisely. Thanks.
Best way to learn is to find a teacher. Chi kung / qiqonq is a good place to start if you are interested in learning more. There are few good chi kung videos and I recommend teachings of Mantak Chia, both videos and books. Especially inner smile meditation is very helpful, since you can combine zhan zhuang with it. The most important thing in this kind of exercise is to be as relaxed as possible, never let you shoulders get tense, for instance.

The practice allows me to wake up all those dormant cells in my body. They dont like it but are getting used to it...i love it!!! i am looking into the possibility of teaching this myself...any advice?.....love fintan

This is powerful stuff. I would say a word of caution though. Don't try this exercise if you have any problems with the alignment of your hips.
