  • They need chance air pressure to back tire. Only they need that......

  • OMG do they know that off road it's suppose to ride standing up ??

  • @ciddone69 Hahahaha, mike knows how to ride, the question is can you!

Don't be deceived by this seemingly easy track. It is far steeper than what it looks like on the videos and the surface is like marbles and have absolutely no traction.

  • does is know how to ride a bike off road ?? LOL

  • Let this be a lesson to those who just won't listen and attempt to climb a hill starting out in 3rd...'Last words were..."I've got torque up the A**"

  • Let this be a lesson to those who just won't listen and attempt to climb a hill starting out in 3rd...

  • that first bit thats what i would call couldnt drive a stick up a pigs arse

  • What the fuck why even let someone who cant drive .. DRIVE THAT THING OMG:..

  • what the fuck is he doing? better walk up the hill...

  • more off road tires with less air pressure

  • just because the ktm's did not attempt that hill does not mean the bmw is a better machine..clearly either one of the modern ktms you mentioned in your header are far more capable off road steeds

just means the ktm riders chicken out...good attempt by the beemer rider..thats what riding is all about this guy tried anyway!!..hats off to him.

  • @canktm08 You are right to a certain degree, that is why Mike now rides an BMW with HPN reinforced frame and WP suspension front and back, .

The reason why the KTM's don't fare to well in these conditions is on account of one of the reasons that made it popular. High performance engines. The tuning of a motor for max power reduces it's low end torque. To keep traction on steep, loose gradients where speed is not possible you need low end usable torque. KTM's just don't have this.

  • @AltusPienaari i don't know abow the big dual sport ktms..i ride and race an 08' ktm 300 xc-w stroker..that bike is all about low end power...couldn't a bigger sprocket in the real cure what you said ?..even though the front wheel my point to the heavens more!

the ktms are far better suspended sorry...i cant believe the beemer is a better climber...but, like i said i v'e never riding the big bikes...thanks

  • @canktm08 You can't change the sprockets on a shaft drive old BMW LOL Your KTM may climb that hill with more ease, but you ain't gonna ride that KTM across country either. Just between you and me, the GS isn't worth shit off road, I know, mine has 100,000 miles on it. When you decide to get a road bike get a GS, you won't be sorry. I'd like to put a hitch on mine so I could haul a proper dirt bike to ride off road. That was a tuff hill to get up though, lots of big rocks and crap like that.

  • HE SIMPLY CANNOT RIDE A BIKE

  • @ba2442 I wonder how you and some of the other pro commentators here would have fared. The gradients is stupendous and at the start of the clip we needed to get the bike going after he was forced to a standstill to avoid riding over the KTM rider in front that fell.

Mike might not be an enduro rider with racing skill but he sure can ride and handle that little R80GS of his in a way very few others would have managed.

That road is a 4x4 route and is rated as one of the tougher routes around.

  • This Guy is a fanny.. he should be riding a Honda xl 185 insted o that beast

  • Mettre un boudin plus large et moins gonflé à l'arrière changerais tout... une super moto!

  • omfg

  • poor bikes

  • La 80 GS: il y a que ça de vrai!!!

  • he is not riding, the bike does

  • Less airpressure in your tires and you are fine ... keep on rolling : ) nice vid !

  • FAG:!!

  • The first part was funny, but last part had some impressive riding.

  • Change your rear tyre PLEASE!!

  • This guy is a king! Even if he has no experience or technical background he tried and finally did something.

I've never had the chance to seriously off road but I would certainly not start with something that difficult (to me at least).

  • better off road suited tires

riding the bike as it should be, i.e. standing and balancing the weight for getting grip instead of seating and getting carried all over the place...

off road riding requires before anything else a decent shape from the rider, so in this video we see ample room of imprevement...

    keep trying anyway

  • this guy needs to learn how to ride a scooter!! What in the world is he trying to prove! He is out of his legue.

  • steep hills never look so on film for some reason..the tyres are the main problem here and a bit of a heavy hand from the rider...fun tho...

  • Brofsloski please show us your best effort before critisizing the driver(rider).

Off road makes us all equal. The second part of the video shows excellent skill from the rider.

Well done Mike, keep the airheads alive!!

  • the driver has zero skill

  • Lokks like a very difficult hill you must go up

  • stupid driver

  • Put some proper tyres on it and it would go even better. Good effort though.

  • Mick - you pussy!
