  • the sound of flazolets :D :D

  • please male VIDEO tutorial

  • Awesome!!!! you rocks!!!

  • You are the MAN!!!

  • good job with the captions.

  • What's Amplifier ;3 ??

  • Nicley done bro

  • very good job man!)

  • Thanks for the tabs, mate.

  • This is awesome

  • That is fucking easy.

  • the vibrato is shit at the beginning

  • this. sounds. HORRIBLE. give me the original please.

dont. comment. that. i just shouldn't go here or something. just DONT.

  • @HonionB Dont go here.

  • @HonionB Yeah, don't even go there girlfriend.

  • Ok, the pinch harmonic question: I'm obviously adding them during the B riff of the intro, but this is not how dope plays it, or rather, it's not as obvious. It's just the way I like to play it (and it's a love / hate thing for sure). So...

    @pokealong1227 Yup

@raugusto2 It's your call. Play it however it sounds best to you. Pinch harmonics sound good regardless of tuning. The also equally sound like crap on any tuning if played poorly ;)

  • hey man nice tab but im assuming the note on the 3rd fret 6th string(vibrato) is a pinch harmonic right?

  • @ LordofStrings it is Motherfuckin' awesome*! :D

  • Fuckin' awesome!

  • Does it have pinch harmonincs in the intro part?

does it sounds good on standard tuning?

  • @raugusto2 i think that these are almost for sure pinch harmonics.. and they sound (if played well) good on every tuning (sorry for english, i'm not native speaker)

  • @raugusto2 I've listened to the original song and it sounds like there is only one of the guitar trakcs playing pinchs in the intro riff.. the other one not

  • damn good cover check mine out if ya get the chance it's not even close to yours but i think i did alright.

  • @Equal2OrGreaterThanU Ok, had a gander, guitar tuning need's to be dropped another half step down (just tune to drop D, then tune everything down another half step). Opening riff bar sustains are on the 6'th fret not the third. Overall, not bad and the timing is good. Keep on rockin'

  • @oddlittleant i know i tried tunning down but i don't have heavy enough strings to handle it, thanks for watching mine though!

  • Gpod job mam helps me alot!!

  • Good job this song is nice too

  • great cover dude, thanks for the tabs =)

  • can u put the tabs in the description so i can play read them (the ones in the video are too fast)

  • @toiletsheriff14 Uh, that will take a bit, I didn't use a tab but just typed in what I played into the annotations... I'll sniff around the drive to see if I can take a close enough one and tweak it...

  • @toiletsheriff14 Ok, tried it... get the description is too long error.. :(

  • can u take u're electric guitar outside ..or it should be pluged in something???

  • @dragoscribo ??? Uh, if it's an electric, then I'd suggest plugging into an amp. You can take you guitar outside, but you should be mindful of things like humidity. excess moisture in the air will change your guitar's density, and this will affect your action, setup and string tension. If you don't mind readjusting these things, then have at it. when you bring it back inside, give it a day or so to settle, then readjust.

  • @oddlittleant thx man ...i waz affraid that i can't take it outside...another think checked on my list:P:D

  • Great =)

can i have the tabs pls?

  • wow awesome ! :D

can i anyone teach me how to get into that tuning ? :)

  • @N2ader You need to tune your guitar in dropD (DADGBE) and after tune down 1/2 all your chords.

  • it sounds perfect!

  • great sound great video great song nice song eXept from that

    FUCKING crazy nice guitar

  • i might make a parody of dis song called live mf live LAWL

  • AWesome :D... i ahve a little question , i want to know what type of combo/effect you have to make it sound good like dat? (i know it might sound stupid but...lets just say im interested) :D

  • @Bockiie Hmmm, kind of hard to guess exactly what sound you mean, but I'll take a stab at it.

Distortion-wise, a scooped setup is ideal (as in Lows around 6, mids at near 0, and highs way up 8 or even 10). You need the highs to get that crisp, crunchy attack, or it'll get muddy at speed.

For this song, it's a pretty basic setup. Most of "that sound" is my right hand's palm-muting. Don't just constantly lay your hand on the strings, but lift it slightly after the muted strike... gives it 'air'

  • @oddlittleant Thanks ;)

  • slayer!!!!!(the jacket)

  • @RYOKO367 Heh, yep. Good eye. Diablous on Tour (around '96-97 I think). Caught them at the House of Blue in New Orleans (friggin loud in that little club!!)

  • @oddlittleant not just in but on top

  • :O

    i cant haha

    very nice! :P

  • damn now i need new strings for my electric!! i wana play this song now haha

  • You are facking great dude!

    Very very nice!

  • @HeroAtGuitar Thank you very very much ;)

  • Awesome

  • @DazziPhoenix01 Thanks much!

  • Dude, your such a motherfuckin the best cover Ive seen. You cover is simple and very clear. Your not pretending to be great and yet u are. Tab is an A+ in this video. I'll be following your works in the future. Die motherfuckin die. We' be playing this track in the competition...

  • @letusbone Thanks. I can assure you, I have very little talent. I just like to crunch and munch, and have fun. Most of the time, it's therapy. Bad day at work? Pick up guitar and bang on it for an hour or two. Great stress relief.

  • Its squier? :DD

  • @slipknotwest Which one the Washburn? Not with two double humbucks. The Charvel? Nope, has a double-humbuck at the bridge (and not slanted), and each pickup gets it's own on / off toggle.

I do have a Squire bass though ;)

  • @oddlittleant I know.. joke..

  • @oddlittleant I know.. joke.. but nice vid. ..)

  • @slipknotwest Ahhh, ya got me...

  • is that a jackson?

  • @FunTyme78 The one I'm playing in the video? No, it's a Washburn X-90PROQ. Had Seymour Duncan's installed. The purple one hanging on the wall is an older Charvel that is essentially the precursor to the Jackson soloist.

  • Great cover! I really like the looks of ur guitar :) its cool xD

  • @DaPalleKuling Yeah, it's pretty sharp without being all flashy. I still prefer the looks of my '85 Charvelle though... reverse headstock with shark-fin inlays... still looks tight after all these years.

  • good job, awesome song and thanx for the tabs

  • omg. AMAZING! really good cover. best ive seen! keep up the good work!!!

  • @XxEmmaxX99 Thanks bunches!

  • great cover im thinking about learning this song is it hard?

  • @bfret4 Nope, not particularly difficult. Just dial in a crisp distortion, and chop away.

  • @oddlittleant

    ok thnx man

  • @bfret4 no its fairly simple. I just dislike having to retune all the time XD

  • @BlackMetal401

cheers! haha yer since your going hard on the strings it gets out of tune quite easily lol :D

  • Looks like you're having some trouble playing this song. You keep messing up, especially the chorus, you should work on that. The only really well done part was the bridge with a bunch of pinch harmonics. But besides the messing up part you kept on timing so good job.

  • @TheYoSong Yup!... snort...

  • Awesome cover!! keep rocking!

  • Very good!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/

  • what is the strumming pattern?

  • @hokagekiyuu I have no idea. There's only one section where anything approaching a strum exists, and that's 1234 - 1234 - 1234 - 1234

Everything else is just double-picking various of 10 and 8 counts, and alternating palm mutes.

  • what is the strumming pattern?

  • their isnt a strumming pattern that i know of its a tight song but not to play to easy

  • ok...one word...AWSOME!!! YOU ARE FUCKING INSANE!!! i recon its in drop c but i'm not sure. by the tabs it says drop c#. please help

  • @theguyinthefunnyhat It's Drop D flat (or C#, same thing). Basically, drop the low E to D, just like your typical drop D tuning, then drop everything, including that newly dropped D, a half step down so that it's all flats (Db, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb). So, Low E one and a half steps down, everything else, a half step down. Easy as pie.

    Hope that helps.

  • @oddlittleant but its still the same as Drop D right? ,what if you play it on Drop D ..would it be ok??

  • @Ordeith56 Sure, if you're covering it in a band, or playing it solo, it'll sound just fine. The only time you'll notice the difference is if you play along with the song.

  • @Ordeith56 nop dude :S it dosnt sound the same :S

  • I'm learning this song :D

    It's sooo easy lol

    greattt job man.

  • my jaw drop im so gunna learn this it looks so much easier than it sounds in the song

  • kick @ss bro...peace

  • nc this is really good playing

  • May I pleeeeaaaassseeeee have the tabs sent to me it would be so much easier to read. Thanks

  • @MetallicaCullen just go to ultimate-guitar. they have a couple that will get you close enough (just change the turn-around riffs to what I've posted, and you'll have it).

  • is that tuning up or down?

  • @ihatechantal That's down. Basically, it's tune the whole guitar down a half step, then tune the E down another full step.

  • great cover man... but the main riff sounded fast for some reason... just sayin for future referance... but it was still sick

  • @str8upcracka Hmmm, could be. Wouldn't be surprised if it was, I tend to get ahead of myself sometimes.

  • Can you give me link with this tabs ?

And you are the best :-)

  • @arcioch96 .. ultimate-guitar is where I found one that was close enough to get me started. None of the tabs I've seen are 100% (most people play the chorus wrong at 1:11 for example. I did annotate the entire thing you know (turn annotations on)... It's all right there, note for note, exactly how I play it. That's why I annotated it... because I haven't seen a tab that's accurate...

  • great...u r the best

  • LOL, thanks! I'm pretty sure "the best" would be stretching it by a mile, but this type of music does suit my playing style. (which is zero talent mixed with lots of attitude).

  • Thank You!! \m/

    RocK oN! 5/5 :D

  • i realy gotta say: wonderfull work you put up there,

  • Thank you! It ain't Steve Vai or anything, but to me it's not how technical one is, but what one is trying to say though the guitar..., and when somebody is just getting on my last nerve, well..., this song always seems to come to mind X)

Sometimes it's the most primitive things that resonate the most with me.

  • the sound of that guitar is fuckin awesome!

  • Thanks, it's all in the fingers, or maybe it's the Seymour Duncan pickups...

  • i've listened to this song over a million times now! its just so fucking good, best chorus ever, DIE MOTHERFUCKER DIE!! this should be in the top 10 list of best MOTHERFUCKING songs in the world.

  • this should be th song behind all justun beiber "tributes" hehe

  • @biggboots ROFL!!! Oh hell yeah!! Might have to overdub "slowly in great agony" to the chorus!

  • Nice guitar

  • they can tap this song.........but i dont know how....

  • Great cover!!

  • Lachen ... "Es gibt keine solo ..."

    unbezahlbar ...

  • Tanks for uploading this great tab! Love it :)

  • hammergeil

so sau geiles solo hab ich noch nie gehört!!!!!!!

    5 sterne!!!!!!!!

  • wo is da bitte ein solo?

  • ???

  • @rimythemurloc da is kein solo

  • ich weiß, deswegen frag ich mich ja warum es jemand schreibt

  • Fuck awsome cover dude. best cover of this song so far

  • OOOOoooo... talented XD

  • harmoniv on a fricken wammy sucks alright nvr do that againt no offence but other thene that good

  • ultimate-guitar for the tabs. Actually, there are no 100% correct tabs out there, believe me, I looked. Eventually, I just used a 'close enough' tab to get me started in the right direction, then listened to the song over and over as I played until it sounded right.

  • This is not easy due

  • Youre the best guitarist ive ever heard

  • Heh, thanks. But I assure you, there are waaaay better axe grinders out there than me.

  • Well I just play in drop d and it still sounds good. Thanks for the vid though . There were a couple of parts I was playing wrong.

  • Yup, usually does until you slap the headphones on, and listen to both your recorded track and Dope's at the same time. At around 0:32 and 0:48 when you're hitting those repeated open D's, you'll notice that it's too high. At Db it's spot on.

Still, if you're playing in a band, a typical drop D will sound just fine, since you're not using dope's backing track.

  • great vid thanks man you really help alot !!! you rock!! heheheh

  • nope. It's drop D flat (Db) or C# (same thing).

  • you have to put it down to drop d

  • fukin nice...thanx for the lesson.song sounds really hard...suprised ho easy.

  • Most of the 'NuMetal' or 'Gamer' metal is like that. Sounds really badass and tough, but it's mostly all in the picking and palm-muting technique. Of course, pinch harmonics are a must too.

  • yeah...im alittle older and ive slowly noticed how the guitarists got more "chunkY and rhytmic" as the shredding guitar solo is almost exstinct.actually i started to learn this song and it is alittle harder then i originally commented.ill get it tho.you are right about the muting and picking.cool vid man ...i love being able to get lessons online.ROCK ON!!!

  • Oh my Godnes... o.o Great video. And tab... Thank you! You're my God! <3

  • is there palm mute?

  • Uh, yeah. Tons of it.

  • TUNING its also tuning aka Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

    PS b=Flat

  • Uh, yeah. tomayto or tomato, color or colour, and so on, and so on.

I had a jazz buddy that always insisted that I use the sharp moniker whenever we discussed music, so I'm kind of used to that. I figured anyone that was looking at alternate tunings on a guitar would (or rather should) already know that. Still, never hurts to approach things from various angles.

  • ur tuning is for chromatic tuner seriously

  • OK, sure.

but C# is EXACTLY the same thing as Db

  • Ok, I've annotated the whole thing.

Might look a little skewed in various resolutions, but until youtube give us the option to use a friggin uniform font type, it's as good as I'm gonna get it.

    ant

  • awesome! :D

  • pz plz plz send me tabs..or can u make a vid showing how to play this song...u awsome good sound

  • hoho sweeet :D''

  • dude...

    u rock man

    nice guitar too

    XD

  • Thanks. Yeah, the Washburn X-Series are fairly nice guitars for the money. I sampled quite a few axes in it's price range, and I always came back to the X-50 ProQ.

Favorite feature is the push-pull tone knob that enables a direct coil tap, and no batteries to mess with.

Least favorite is the painted neck-back (on any guitar), as it tends to get sticky when your hand starts sweating. From now on, it's bare / oiled necks only.

  • nice cover dude, love it xD

    5 stars

  • Thanks gunz, glad to hear it!

  • AWESOME

  • Thanks!

  • that is awesome man i LOVE Dope there one of my favorite bands....so ya you rock man! you could be the OFICIAL guitarist for Dope

  • Heh, I don't think I'll be signed up anytime soon, but thank you for the props, and rock on!!

  • No Problem

  • Thanks. It's quite fun to play, for some reason ;)

  • Fender stratocaster?

  • Nope. Washburn X50-ProQ

Tend to use this one for the lower than drop D stuff, as it's able to hold those tunings a tab better than the others.

  • nice cover! 5/5

  • Thanks much!

  • wow nice 5/5 stars.

  • Thanks! Not the most sophisticated tune in the world, but it sure is fun to play!!
