  • zwina bezef cheers from north africa, first time enjoyed in a train far from the world !

  • 8:29 is fucking great

  • wow, very beautiful. I would love him to play with Al DI Meola, but like this. Just the two guitars and slow improvisation. Thanks You

  • the deaf guy is now married to a deaf woman.

  • 1 guy is deaf.

  • beautiful improvization! I wonder what an electric Tar would sound like if somebody made one...

  • nice

  • kafa boro tu Karesh............

  • just the inner life of an extremly sensitive soul translated into the language of our ears...no more should be said.

  • This is a great performance, intense with all the complexities and passion reflecting Persian culture itself. Splendid.

Oddly enough his technique and approach reminds me of the famous British guitarist John McLaughlin.

I wonder what they could play together.

  • at least 1 person has no passion that disliked this

  • This is magical.

  • Just Beautiful!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing and so soft and tender! What is the tuning ot the instrument and where is it possible to purchase it?

  • too much reverb, and what the hell tootaurus, pouring on his fingertips, are you whirling in your own universe at the moment.

  • Masterpiece. Va Salaam.

  • @Goshtasppur .shut up you jerk!

  • @Goshtasppur ahmaghi!

  • Thank you for sharing the music , its good to see the persian culture was not forget yet, keep it up their is lots more , and hope come soon day by day VIVA Pars/ Viva Persia/ Viva I r A n

  • It was good but think about background "noises" in start. I understand it was in "Isfahan" but you should elaborate it more. The video also was not good; it was rotared; why? sometimes shows you in right angle sometimes in back ... why? unneccessary. Please play again.

  • Only One thing !!! GREAT....

    THANKS for sharing...

  • Excellent!!

  • this is beyond my tears...

    thnks for sharing...

  • I love classical music and mostly listen to great European masters.

I just found this clip and repeated it at least 5 times so far, this is out of this world. I don't see why European classical music and Persian classical music can't be both great and beautiful. There is no contradiction here.

  • Another great and touching performance by beloved iranian master . Just think what could be in his mind ... pouring on his fingertips at these moments ...

    Thank youn for posting .

  • thanks for sharing

  • to ke film migiri azizam inghad haro saro seda nakon poshte doorbin

  • great!

  • very very good

  • Not true at all, this is way more complex than any abc classical music. Just listen to all that accentuation...

  • It's your idea........smoke your weed and enjoy life its a complicated task for you to understand this music......

  • you'd better SHUT UP

  • Wait a minute.. This is first of all IMPROVISATION, secondly it is deeply rooted in Iranian tradition (going back at leat to Median Iranian Era 700 BCE), thirdly this is 1/4, 1/8. 1/16 distance.

your Classical music lacks all these characteristic. Europaen classical music in near future will be much better reproduced by any computer. Therefore Classical music of Europe is senseless. Secondly, no European musician can produce even one minute improvisation, therefore un-artistic.

  • YOU should try it...see how good you can improvise...

I am sure you will run away immediately and cling to your notes on the page like a frightened untalented nobody that can only regurgitate hand me down musical ideas and can't even wish to muster the courage to express your own heart and bare it for others to scrutinize IN THE MOMENT as you scrutinize other's work.

  • khar che danad ghadre ghormeh sabzi :D

  • Thanks for posting this I love this performance he Is great maestro...He is adorable...

  • The guy with the camera must have been so annoying to Alizadeh!

  • The place is not Losangeles, it's Tehran, The salon of Literature faculty of Tehran University. After ASATID tours, when Mr. Alizadeh came back to Iran, a TAR festival perfumed in Tehran for young player called JASHNVAREH TAR NAVAZAN. It is the final of festival. At first the winners played their pieces and then a group of Alizadeh's students played "BIA TA GOL BARAFSHANIM" and then Alizadeh went on scene and performed an improvisation based the last songs that all heard.

  • That is true. I wanted to put the ensemble playing "Byaa taa gol br afshaanim", but I haven't had the time. I will post it soon (hopefully).

  • @btouri hi, have you posted it yet?... great video!... greetings from Chile

  • words are not needed in this situation

  • wonderful but remember that he first played the melody long before he put lyrics of Bia ta gol bar-afshanim with Eftekhari ,(Raz- O Niaz) .

  • The sort of music to which you listen and does not inspire you to blossom your feelings followed by thinking is not to be meant as genuine, I believe.

Innovation is possibly the basic requisite for the purpose. There are a few elements as we can call it "Improvisation", as a matter of course. They can be mentioned as proper technique, speed of playing, relevant knowledge, precision, and eventually innovation. If these all gather up in a go, then you can call it an "Improvisation", as shown here.

  • You're welcome, mate. It's intrinsically played and lies among his best improvisations, I think.

    My appreciation for sharing.

  • DR SAHAND THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY

  • kheili bahala kojast inja

  • This is performed in LosAngeles first Tar festival. For more info. please read the notes.

  • Certainly it is in Tehran, but I don't know the venue.

  • Thank you so very much for sharing this.

    This is GREATTTT.
