While Italy scored twice NOT on penalties: first with Materazzi and then with Toni. Unfortunately Toni's goal was annulled for an almost imperceptible -- kind of nonexistent off-side. Italy always undergoes such prejudices. Just look at the 2002 World Cup, where they had 5 goals annulled in just 4 matches, with at least 3 of those goals being perfectly valid (as shown by the replay).
