@MrGothcakes my previous comment is a damn old one. meanwhile, I've learned to appreciate any kind of music that is worth listening, including Evanescence, which I'm also listening to. I am fully aware that Draconian is Gothic Doom Metal, because I've listened to all their albums, but I'm still not sure if Evanescence are Gothic Metal, since they incorporate many genres in their music to form a mixture which, in my opinion, it's dominated by the "alternative rock" feeling.

Can you tell me what you mean by "metal attitude"? I was just wondering because everybody says Anette of NW lacks it, but no one seems to question that Tarja has it (although she has said several times that she's not into metal herself). This woman's singing sounds to me at least as "metal" as Tarja's or Floor Jansen's or Vibeke Stene's so i'm a bit confused

it's not the singing,, she sings great, so does anette,, but it's the way they move,, it's not a very 'metal kind of way',, you don't see her headbang or play air guitar or things like that. She and anette,, and I'm sure there are others,, they move in a 'pop kind of way',, anette has also a mor pop kind of voice.

But it's not that I don't like them, they just don't act metal on stage =)

Are you sure you read Draconian lyrics? Her interpretation is just... not fitting in my eyes; all the dancing and the smiling feels out of place. I really don't think "everyone dances to feel good" suits the theme well. This should make you feel the exact opposite of "good". However, this song in particular could be an exception, as I can see how might be interpreted positively. Anyway, Anders is just awesome!
