  • Gheeze... Nothing I hate more is BOGUS applications that think that the other guys "other" hand isn't going to be constantly blasting away at his face...

I never been in nor seen a fight were this didn't happen...

  • Dear Jadewillow, there are a many possible objective for doing form work training, actual combat being only one. My intention in this clip is to break down movements in terms of internal organ categorizations. There needs to be a harmonious cooperative space shared between practice partners for such research dialogue to come through. When we fight, all form is abandoned and gives way to spontaneous expression.

  • Sounds like BS to me...internal organ categorizations... nothing harmonious about a fight. When you fight you strive to maintain form, strategy and institute your tactics while taking advantage of the opponents mistakes. if not so ...why learn a martial arts? although I respect the art you art teaching I'll reserve the right to question how your are teaching it

  • I agree there is nothing harmonious about combat with people trying to kill each other. On the other hand, you might find it life-deepening to look into the culture of CIMA systems that "sought" (albeit mostly unsuccessfully) to emulate an ideal of principled interaction by bringing Chinese Medicine into their methods of practice and fighting. ~ Not my original idea ~ I've made available the content of some of China's complete orthodox systems for critical public scrutiny. You are welcome to it.

  • you are a very good teacher, now if only i could find a teacher around here (sigh) guess i'll stick with walking the circle in my garage for now, but very informative, i learned quite a bit from this vid thanks for the upload

  • You are very kind. If with a practice partner you copy this form, film it and send it to us. We'll give you feedback. Circle walking is good, but adding linear forms (even short ones) build structural poise and leverage mechanics.

    Best wishes.

  • I really learned a lot from that, thanks guys!!

    That is really good work!!

  • That's really good to hear!
