Lucky me, the Hungarian vowels and consonants are similar to Turkish. :) c = dzs ç = cs ı = ő j = zs s = sz ş = s ö and ü are the same in Hungarian. Some words were brought from Turkish into Hungarian. There are some example: elma = alma çok = sok sari = sárga kapı = kapu

Turkish is a phonetic language but in Turkey,people are lazy of Diaphram, they can not regulate their breaths so they can not success to speak totally any long word.Because of this, they swallow some letters.

I am a beginner as well, but from what I have seen so far, ı/I sounds like I as in Itch, Sit, and Lick. While ö sounds more like the u in Yuck, Tug, and Rug. I could be wrong, PLEASE correct me if I am incorrect.

the letter "I" sounds a lot like the vowel pronunciated between the "p" and the "L" in the english word "PEOPLE" so...it's like"...PIL".this specific letter is wat distinguish the turkish language.and "ö" is the same as the letter "E"in french.

The thing is in Turkish letters almost always sound the same unlike in English.

no no no, we mostly do not read the words as they're written. this is a common mistake though.turkish's not a phonetic language, yet the retarded read it as it's written.
