I also do this with earrings or bracelets that leave behind green. I seem to notice it with the sterling coated or anything with nickle in it. Great tip for sharing. I have also seen gals do this with a cheapo watch. You may have to redo the polish after a few months but it is a great way to be able to wear the cheap stuff.
