Thank you for the enlightened comments. My family and I have travelled to the U.S. on many occasions, and have met many wonderful people while we were there. I'd like to add that Canada was at war in Europe before the USA in both WW1 and WW2 supporting our British allies. America's eventual involvement was a most welcome development.

Canada was also a key member in the Korean War and Gulf War 1.

Although we did not officially join against Vietnam, over 30,000 Canadians crossed the border to join the US Army to fight the spread of International Communism.
