Not as much falsetto - but in most of the songs he uses that Michael McDonald mixed with John Legend voice that I mentioned, which actually bothers me more than the falsetto. I am enjoying it though. There's some great tracks such as All Tied Up, Boring, Lovely Lady, and I Don't Know How It Feels To Be U. But he never really uses THIS style of voice anymore, and he's tried to but it never seems to sound the same as it did in his first album.

@raha78 The sales numbers and radio play don't lie. Compare the sales and promotion to "A Beautiful World" versus the sales and promotion of "The Evolution Of Robin Thicke"- there is a noticeable difference there.

Also keep in mind that "Wanna Love You Girl" was released as a single- twice within a year- and bombed both times. "Lost Without You" was released to radio first, and didn't get really any play until the video premiered with his then-girlfriend in it.

As a black women who went to all of his shows in L.A. for A Beautiful World, I can surely tell you his fans were mostly black and female. There was a strong male presence also. As for sales and promotion, the problem with the album is it covered multiple genres and the label had no idea how to market it. It didn't work for the mainstream.

Robin was the first artist signed to them and the only artist they did (barely) anything with. It fell apart. Pharrell, concerned about what the label was doing with Robin, signed him to his label and that's how Robin became more visiable to the finnicky mainstream. Also, Paula and Robin were already married when The Evolution album was released
