......That his is a moral responsibility to act as a just ruler and reflect that creator who set him apart from the start....that there is goodness and evil and we are responsible to stand in goodness.
Science has not accounted for the existence of life....they theorize about it but how living cells actually came about...they really do not know and that is straight from the months of our worlds foremost scholars
If people have nothing to inform their beliefs then the human race would look more and more like the animals around us. What we believe effects our actions just as what you believe effects how you see and act in life. If we are nothing more than animals then why do we need marriage or monogamy or demand justice? We wouldn't. But, what if those things, i.e. morality, are the result of an understanding that there is something more. That Man was Created and set apart from the rest of creation.
....further there are consequence for your actions. If you have a child and choose not to care for the child either the child will die or the State will take it away from you. What tells a person to care for their child, to not beat their child, to discipline their child so they will become successful adults, etc...
I think the evidence for God is all around us. You only make my point by your criticism of it. Frankly, if your epistemology is wrong then how the facts of science are interpreted will be wrong. The reason you don't give a crap about what one believes is that you don't believe there is any moral obligation to an individual who is nothing more than an animal...The problem is that there is something more and your conscience convicts man of that....
What a mundane comment. Anyone who claims god is REAL reminds me of someone running with their fingers in their ears yelling "I CANT HEAR YOU". There is simply no evidence for the existence of God that cannot be accounted for by other means, chiefly science. That's it. Who gives a crap about why we decide what we do. Isn't it even dumber to base your life, decisions and actions on a make-believe character?
The reason there is no "evidence" is because belief in God is based on faith, not evidence or science. And if you do not have faith, no amount of evidence will ever convince you.
The LAST thing we need is more religious talk - given the recent speeches at the U.N. it's about time we get off this subject. Besides, god is imaginary and prayer is superstitious.
