Jacky Cheung was instilling new ingredients to Jay's song. If he/she felt happy for Jay Chou because of the reason that Jacky Cheung was singing Jay Chou's song, then the fans of David Tao, and other singers whose songs were sung by Jacky at this concert should also be happy like beloveddpeartree.

@jywong81 to Jacky, this song was just another one of many to sing- it's like karaoke to him. To Jay at the time he wrote this song, it was his everything. You can hear it when he sings it- he sings from his heart. There's emotion, there's LONGING... without that bittersweet, heart-tugging LONGING, this song loses meaning. Jacky sings it casually, lightly, like a happy song... he misses the point of what makes it beautiful. That's my analysis and thanks for reading!

I'm assuming this is a cover done by Jacky? I agree with most people here, Jacky has strong vocals then Jay, and as a result it has a deeper meaning. Jay is one of my favourite musicians as is Jacky, this is a cover I actually like, Jacky brings his unique style and prescence to the song, while Jay's voccals for this song are not as sharp as Jacky's they sound just as well as Jacky's
