  • Great Big Band sound! I like it very much. The arrangement is outstanding good and

    the trombone players are excellent.

Where can I buy the arrangement?

    Kind regards from Spain

    Edmund

  • imagine if I was in japan I could have duet with that group and have played valve trombone or regular trombone for instance. Looking back at this clip makes me realize that music like this is here to stay even today!

  • Its decent, please dont give me negative feedback , but im not going to sugar code it like every one else seems to be doing. They are at a DECENTLY mature level for there section playing, however the solos were all over the place, at times it also seemed like the lead player was trying to overblow the rest of section. Besides that it was decent sounded like a good high school jazz ensemble nothing more really. Im guessing this comment really doesnt matter either since this was done 4 years ago.

  • they all are. wow,

  • This is really great stuff--I keep coming back for more. Thank you very much. Arigato. Manfred (London)

  • Yea baby trombones all the way haha x)

  • Thats a guy!!

  • Fook me! Bone-a-rama!

  • super! trombones are slick!

  • すごすぎる!!

  • They really know how to blend in sound wise, which is what separates the good trombonists from the great trombonists.

  • WOW. Nice sound.

  • There are no high school bands like this in America, Im going to have to recruit overseas

  • Classy Big Band work girls, and a mention for the super trumpet section backing, lead trumpet take a bow!

  • One of the many reasons why I wished I picked trombone back in elementary school. I really want to play trombone. Having just one brass instrument with my arsenal of woodwind instruments will make me happy. :D Oh well. Maybe later in life.

    But still, amazing trombones.

  • 1:11 best part! lol

  • they're playing really compliements their prettynesssss

  • q chevere !!! q buenos trombones

  • Marvelous trombones. Love them.

Personally I go for bass and drums.

    Trobones always, of course.

  • algran puta! esto chinos si saben tocar..

  • Different shirts or a different band?

Anything is possible with you people.

    Its so good!

  • Second girl to the left is so adorable! =D

  • I think that is the lead...

'Cause leads in Jazz are always placed second in the line..

  • What tone!

  • To me the most amazing thing about these fine young players is their sound! All four are FILLING their horns with air! Good job. I'd love to hear a studio recording of this band.

    chris

    (Dougles15)

  • They're definitely the most beautiful.:)

  • Eol jazz cobra especial vida cuando es interpretado con cariño, y en especial por gente tan joven que lo hace con sentimiento y talento felicitaciones desde Caracas, Venezuela...

  • I really hope that BFJO will be able to go on the Seattle jazz convention! (^_^)

  • Do you know how hard it is to get a student trombone section to sound like this ? (vibrato ,balance, projection, articulations etc..) and they all solo !!!! Check out the first soloist with the ascending 4ths landing on a high "D" !!! 5 stars -any questions ?

  • If only our jazz band could do that lol. Our lead over plays, and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th can't match up to him. The band director just tells him to cool it, and bring the other parts out.

  • w00t!!!! awesomeness!

  • they sound so good, and they have all that memorized

  • tons of fun.

  • 3 girls and one guy. :)

  • This is the best version yet! So as version #2.

  • that was hecka tite!! especially at the end lol

  • In my high school jazz band, we did a version of that same tune which is similar to the one ya'll have. The one we did was arranged by Joe Jackson. I knew I found it someone. Tell me who's version ya'll playing of that tune "Just Friends", who's the arranger?

  • Arranger is Masaru Uchibori. His CD is available as

    MU BIG BAND CD.

  • Thanks buddy. Just already search into him. I'mma go check his stuff out asap.

  • Just a quick note: I have suggested to Chuck Owens of IAJE that they should be invited to play at our annual convention. After checking them out on YouTube he has put the wheels in motion to bring them to the 2009 convention in Seattle. He was very "intrigued" with the whole idea. it helps that Seattle has a large Asian population and it closer then Toronto to Japan. Let's hear and see them up close and in the flesh.

  • BFJO@Seattle? WoW!! it's exciting!!

  • Amazing!!! Look out BFJO coming thru to Seattle.

  • wow seattle. BFJO! I'm comin'!!

  • You go T'Bones!!! The rest of the band sounds wonderful.

  • I' ve listened to this three or four times and I'm blown away by it each time.

  • awesome trombones!

  • It's great to hear such talent at such a young age. these gals really have some chops!
