  • that... is... CREEPY D: REAL HUMAN TEETH :O (?!)

  • 3 questions....

    1) you're doing wrinkles with the cloth right?

2)what is that black substance you're using and then wiping off?

    3) whats is your recipe for the paper mache?

  • I WANNA HUG THE CAT XD

  • @xYourValentinex

That's Eddie. He's a pill, but always "helping" me in my studio.

    Dan

  • how was it that you made the ears? it was so fast i didnt get the catch of it! please let me know.

  • @Nazoo1901

Hi there. For ears I usually just use the shell of one of the extra paper mache balls. I cut one open and pull out the wad of paper on the inside. Then I shape the shell with scissors. Then I tape it on using masking tape and cut a hole in the head. When I put the cloth on , I push a piece of cloth into the hole with a pencil or something. It makes nice wrinkles that way.

    I hope that helps.

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan thanks maan!!! now im starting my own paper mache object. its my first time working on a rather big size . thanks to your video, it has inspired me to try this out. i know that with practice, ill get better. hopefully when i finish it, ill upload it youtube; so you can see.

  • @Nazoo1901

Good luck to you! You are right. The more you do of any art form, the better you get. What do they say, 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration. I believe it.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I'd be happy to post any photos on my site when you finish. Just let me know. GourmetPaperMache (dot com)

    Take care

    Dan

  • Your awesome, I'm still inexperienced in paper mâché but I am attempting to

make a statue of Aphrodite and Bleach Ichigo statues.

  • @joe49997

You are only inexperienced until you make something. Congratulations on starting. The projects you have taken on are great challenges. Good luck! And thanks for the kind words.

    Dan

  • i really really like your work (esp. the dragon), but the human teeth part was pretty scary 0_o

  • @potter9006

Thank you for the nice comment. Those teeth were from a dentist friend. He just kept ones he pulled for me. Nothing too scary.

    Take care

    Dan

    Take care

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan Lol your welcome. lt would be awesome to see that while walking home from school in someones car. XD

  • @mavoelker

Yes, it's a strange sight. It is a pretty ugly face. And it turns its head and winks. Again, thank you for your nice comment. I'm very flattered.

    Dan

  • nice cat!

  • @SuperSteelers65

Thank you. Yes, that is my cat Eddie. He's always underfoot.

    You are very kind.

    Dan

  • creepy... but soo beautiful aha

  • @NegativeBelow

He is definitely creepy. Thank you for the nice note!

    Dan

  • when i first watched this video, i had nightmares because of that dummy. it creeps me out! sorry but why does it have a mustache? :P

  • @nightowl61inokc

Yes, it is kind of creepy. It's definitely one of the ugliest things I've ever made. And I don't know why I put a mustache on him. Oh well.

    Dan

  • Wow, seriously, your paper mache creations are the BEST EVER! :D How long did it take you to make something like this?

...Also, EWWWW HE WINKED AT ME! D: (Sorry, I had to do it)

  • @mostyghostly

You are really kind to give me such a nice endorsement. Thank you! And yes, he did wink at you (he winks at State Patrol officers too).

    Dan

PS. This took about three weeks to make. But it's a couple hours here, a couple there, and drying time.

  • @DanMonsterMan Wait a second, you actually use him to get on a carpool lane? ROFL That's so funny and smart at the same! =D

  • @mostyghostly

Well, I must confess I only used it once just for fun. Eventually I'd get busted, or some other angry driver would notice and shoot me. But it was fun to make.

    Dan

  • It looks like he suffered 90% burns in a fire. lol.

  • @audiodead

Yes indeed. He is ugly. It's hard to ride with him.

    Thanks for watching.

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan I was planning on making a short movie using marionettes. This (and other video's) has inspired me to make my own.

  • @audiodead

Sounds great! Good luck to you.

    Dan

  • freaky deaky!

  • @joevacane

    Neeto peeto. Thank you!

    Dan

  • @extremotheclown

You are too kind. Thank you again for your nice words. It's funny, at first I edited out my cats. After a while I couldn't keep them out since they are always around when I work. Turns out that people enjoy seeing them.

Good luck on your videos. I'll check them out.

    Dan

  • funny cat

  • @legocal101

Yes, this one is Max. He's one of two cats I have that are always underfoot in my studio.

    Dan

  • Great fun Dan ..thanks! Your stuff has been an inspiration and now mixed with humor as well! Wonderful!

  • @vidskitkid

Thank you for the nice comment. You are always really supportive.

    Take care

    Dan

  • Hahaha! He looks like my Math Teacher! Good work!

    -Aaron

  • @TheHALLOOON

Yes, that's the way every math teacher looks, well, except for me.

    Thank you.

    Dan

  • when you put the eyeballs in i thought you were gonna say something like: "these are real eye balls, dont even ask"

  • @legomoviesguy

That's funny. These are mannequin eyeballs.

    Dan

  • LOL " yes these are real human teeth... don't even ask"

  • @cheestoast11

No worries, they came from a dentist friend.

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan so how does your dentist friend chew now? lol just kidding.

    Yet another brilliant make! thanks!

  • @trje246

    You are funny. Thank you!

  • Hey dude, are you sure your cats don't ever just anoy the heck out of you when you are tring to work? Like the cat in this video looks like he is scared of your work (because it is so good) and is trying to attack it or something

  • @SuperSuperBuzz

    Hey there,

No, the cats are really never a bother. They just sit there waiting for something to move so that they can jump on it. They just want to play. My studio is a really fun place for them to be. That's why they end up in all of my videos.

    Take care

    Dan

  • @shanna1950

You definitely should. This is a great medium for artistic expression. It's forgiving, you can fix mistakes. You can make very large pieces without getting into difficult materials like metal or stone. Give it a try. You'll love it.

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan - If I made something I'll let you know!! I started claying past spring and made a small (15 inch buddha relief) which turned out quite well. Now I'd like to work with papier mache as well. Something simple. I love your dragons (especially the couple!!) but they're a bit challenging for a beginner.

  • @shanna1950

Yes, definitely something simple to learn the technique. That's why my books have always instructed the making of a monster first. You can't go wrong since it is a fantasy creature. Then, once you learn the methods, the possibilities are endless. But a double dragon would not be something to start with, that's for sure.

    So good luck!

  • @shanna1950

    Hi Shanna,

Thank you for the nice comments! I really appreciate it. Actually, I have dentist friends who send me the teeth. Nothing sinister. I know you can buy them online, but I don't want to get them from dead people.

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan - hahaha dentist friends. Hadn't thought of that!! yeah cool stuff. I'd like to get my hands dirty and do something with papier marche.

  • for the Carpool Lane....you're kidding. Real human teeth... Ebay? or cemetry?

  • Awesome work and great video!

  • @xOnYourMarkx

I do have some instructional videos for the paper mache process on my blog, PaperMacheBlog (dot com). And I do have how-to books that cover how to make various things. There is more information on my site as well, GourmetPaperMache (dot com).

    Thanks for your interest

  • thats awsome!i am making a paper mache dragon, its about the size of a cat, maybe a bit bigger.do you have any advice or helpful tips for me to use?thanks in advance!please reply!:)

  • @WaterWolf1241

Thank you for the nice comment. It's hard to know what advice to give about your dragon without knowing your techniques. My biggest piece of advice is to use cloth (an old bed sheet) dipped in white glue (Elmer's?) for the wings. It really works great. When you paint them they feel like leather. That's what i do on all of my dragons.

    Good luck

    Dan

  • @DanMonsterMan ok,thanks so much!

  • did u murder someone to gt those teeth lol

  • @k9774

I've thought about murdering some people I see on the road. But no, nothing that exciting. Got these teeth from dentist friends. Who knows, maybe they are yours.

    Dan

  • Awesome, have you tried using it in the carpool lane yet?

  • @mcorneah

Thank you for the nice comment. I haven't actually used it to cheat in the carpool lane. But I have driven it across town (I was taking it to my job). And I (well, he) got a few double takes from other drivers.

    Dan

  • wow awsome lol the beggining with the cat"no gimme its mine mine mine". this so incredibly cool awsome job

  • @YungsingersrAWSOME

Thank you for your nice comment! I really appreciate it. Yes, my cats are always underfoot when I do my work. I "fight" them several times a session. That's why they've ended up in almost all my videos, my book, and everywhere else. But they are fun to have around.

    Take care

    Dan

  • i no u said not 2 ack about the teeth but relay where did u get them.

  • @11funnydude

The teeth actually came from dentist friends. Nothing sinister. They are teeth that people had removed for some reason or other.

    Dan

  • This so creatively cool!

  • @Martok40

Thank you so much for the nice comment!

    Dan

  • Haaa the cat in the beginning hilarious had me LOL but yeah uh wuddup with the TEETH?? I love that you can animate his eyes and stuff I would truly enjoy freakin out some people on the roads...awesome job!!

  • @TheRawGlamazon

Thank you for your nice comment! I'm glad you like the project. Yes, the teeth came from dentists I know. This was a fun project. I'm glad you noticed that I can manipulate the head and eyes. It wasn't completely clear.

    Take care.

    Dan

  • Ooooooo reaaaaaaaaal teeeeeeeeeth? So so so sooooo, did you kill people for'em? ;D

  • @YuiHisaishi

As a group, I've sold to more dentists than anyone else. The are crazy and have disposable incomes. They send me bags of teeth they pull from their patients. I suppose their is something unethical about it since the packages never have names on them.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Dan

  • awesome now im just a kid so its easy for me to be amazed, but THIS, this is cool!

  • @Hedgelette

You may be a kid, but you have great taste in art! Thank you for your kind words.

    Dan

  • ur cat is really funny! lol

  • Wow ! Yet again I am impressed. Those teeth really give the piece a, oh what is it...je ne sais quois..lol !

    10 thumbs up !

  • Thank you for the stars and the nice comment! I really appreciate it.

    Dan

PS. I got the teeth from dentists (who have purchased art from me)

  • wow u r amazing. I plan on buying your monster book

  • Why thank you for the nice comment. I really appreciate it! And thanks for considering my book. Let me know if you ever have questions. Just go to my site to contact me, GourmetPaperMache (dot com).

    Take care

    Dan

  • thats creeeeeepy! ;)~

  • Yes, but so is the driver!

    Dan

  • Are those teeth real human teeth?

And can I get it from the dentist too?

But I need larger ones... would the dentist make fake ones for my paper art?!

  • Hey there,

Yes, they are real, and I did get them from dentists. I've also used cow teeth. The front ones look just like human incisors except they are bigger. But you can also just make teeth that look human out of Fimo, the oven-bake plastic stuff. That would work.

    Good luck.

    Dan

  • Thx 4 ur tip!!

I will ask the dentist if he could make the big teeth mould for me, and then I can make the teeth for my papier mache with Fimo~

    So happy~

  • Except you can only make a mold of something that exists. The dentist won't have big teeth to make a mold of (and he/she would charge you a fortune). Just mold the Fimo yourself. It's very easy. Give it a try.

    DAn

  • Ok , I'll ask the dentist about that first,

after that I'd ask for your opinion again.

sorry for bothering again and again,

but I really want to have the teeth for my Matruschka.

Amm, thank you for your suggestion~

    Thx and thousand Thxxxxx~~

    Later~

  • Good one.

  • Thank you!

    Dan

  • Hello Dan,

    Super ...well done!!!

Even the music its great, where can i get it of what's the name of the musicus?

Thanks, and forgive me my bad englisch;-)

    greats Joke

  • Hey Joke,

Nice to hear from you! I hope all is well with you. I hope you are doing art. This music is "royalty free" music. I bought it from a royalty free website, but I can't remember which one. Sorry. The beat seemed to be right for this video. Thank you for noticing. I'm glad you liked the video.

    Take care

    Dan

  • I think your work is Brill! Super vid, thanks for sharing

  • Why thank you! Very kind of you to comment.

    Dan

  • This is really great. I appreciate not just the tremendous amount of skill and work to build the head but also to film the whole creation. Excellent and inspiring!

  • Nice to hear from you again. You always have nice things to say. Thank you!

    Dan

  • 5/5 ***** where did u get real human teeth from ? mde it rle sweet u shld of made dracula 4 haloween tht would of been wicked

  • Hi there. Thanks for the comment, and the stars! I got the teeth from dentists who have bought my art. Nothing sinister. And yes, I do have a Dracula that I made for Halloween. I just don't have it on video.

    Take care

    Dan

  • haha i love it :) dan you should make an alien ( as in alien Vs. preditor ) that would be amazing :O

  • Hey Jamie.

Thank you. I'm glad you like the video. I know the guy who made the original predator. I think I'll lead that sculpting to him. It's a amazing. I do love the alien. I once made a "face hugger". He was sitting back on his curled up tail and was smoking a cigarette. I titled it, "A Hard Day at the Orifice". I wish I had a photo. It was fun.

    Take care

    Dan

  • u know alot of ppl eh ;) thats always a good thing! i hope you never stop making paper mache, ur the best at it and you inspire ppl, u certianly inspired me to work for my goals and achieve what i thought i could never achieve [=

  • I can tell you have the desire and ambition to succeed. So I know you will. Best of luck. Keep in touch.

    Dan

  • OMG, thats so cool! Fantastic work, as usual :)

I still feel the need to ask though, where did the teeth come from?! lol

You must have a field day around Halloween :)

  • Thanks for the nice comment. I got the teeth from dentist friends. Nothing sinister.

    Take care

    Dan

  • I know you said don't ask but How in the world did you get real human teeth!?

  • Just kidding about the asking part. I've sold to a lot of dentists over the years. Sometimes they just send me teeth that they pull from their patients. They are sterilized of course. Usually they are not great teeth (after all, they needed to be pulled). Nothing sinister.

    Thanks for watching!

    Dan

  • I'm tempted to try that coffee and milk drink... I think I might go try it. :P

  • Yes, you would love it. Having some right now as a matter of fact. Boy can I type fast!

    Dan

  • *laughs* I love the part at the end! Awesome awesome!

And I wonder what a police officer would think if he pulled you over? "License and regis... Whoa!! That's one weird lookin' kid!" haha!!

  • Thank you! Its funny, I just wasn't sure about adding that bit. I feel better now. Take care

    Dan

  • I'm not sure I'll be brave enough to actually use the head in the carpool lane. But you never know.

    Thanks for the nice comment!

    Dan

  • Hi everyone. Thanks for watching my videos. This one is a bit strange. Please watch in HQ mode since I shot it in high definition. And also, please note that the teeth I used came from dentists who send me teeth. (I've sold art to many dentists.) No grave robbing going on.

    Thanks for watching!

    Dan (the Monster Man)

  • haha i would laugh if you put, "and yes those are real eye balls, dont even ask" haha but great job 5/5

  • That would have been a bit too much. Thank you for watching!

    Dan

  • amazingly epic as usual man very impressed keep them coming :D!!!

  • Thanks so much! I will.

    Dan

  • creepy... but wow!

teeth? um ya so..... i have NO idea

  • Creepy yes, but note that the teeth come from dentist friends.

    Dan

  • your amazing ! it was great to see your cat too :)

  • That was Max. Usually Eddy is in the videos. But this time Max was hanging around.

    Thanks for watching.

    Dan

  • Very nice work!

  • Thank you!

    Dan

  • yet another great master piece from the masta of 3D.

Really, you are an inspiration to me!

  • You inspire me by commenting. So thank you!

    Dan

  • Uggh...real human teeth. I think I know the place you got it from too. I'm not sure why you passed on fake teeth or even dentures though.

For those who are going to ask, yes it's perfectly legal to buy teeth, even bones and yes there are places to buy this stuff. Of course I don't agree with using real human remains, but to each their own.

  • Wait! I must divulge. I seem to sell my art work to a lot of dentists. I used to joke to them that I'd love to get teeth. So, every so often I get a bag of teeth in the mail, from un-named DENTISTS. Usually with a note telling me they have been sterilized. I had no idea you could buy human remains, nor would I ever buy them. These are bad teeth dentists pulled from their patients. Just had to clear that up.

    Dan

  • That's just odd and freaky. Yes, you can legally buy human teeth and bones. Glad to know these didn't come from deceased individuals.

  • Yes, that would be odd. I know that even using these teeth was odd. But it seemed fitting.

    Thanks for watching.

    Take care.

    Dan

  • Very good Dan! Keep the videos coming! 5/5! I'm checking out the slower instructional videos now on your other site.

  • Thank you! Nice to talk to you again. I'll get to work on another installment to my instructional videos now.

    Take care

    Dan

  • wow! Nice!

  • Thank you! I really appreciate it.

    Dan
