@brunoklotz While your thoughts on missing the messiah were thought provoking, we find the bible speaking of all these events occurring as the Messiah returns. Those things haven't happened, and that Messiah spoken of is Christ. All we need is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and we should follow him. He is the only one worthy of worship who created everything (Collosians 1:16,17). Rev Moon may be a genuine man, but just a man subject to the judgement of God.
Wish you good luck, hoping that you will not miss the Messiah. It would be a pity to miss him while we are living at the time that Christianity has waited for since 2000 years.

I haven't and I wont miss his glorious second coming because the Bible indicates his manner in his coming (thesselonians 4:16,17,Rev 1:17, Mathew 24:27) The things in these verses haven't happened, and when they do, it'll be Jesus coming. If you read the bible with an open unbiased heart, you will see that he does. The bible is the primary source of truth. Not anything he wrote. If anything, what ever he wrote is suppose to be subject to and based off the bible. But if it contradicts the bible, what do you think that means?
Rev Moon might contradict your INTERPRETATION of the Bible, but not the Bible. The way the Bible has been seen for centuries is not in line with Gods own interpretation. Even at Jesus time the bible was misinterpreted, and this created big problems f or Jesus.
By the way, Rev Moons teaching is just as much Gods word as the Bible. And God doesnt contradict himself.

Christians think they understand the Bible, but Rev.Moon's explanation of Biblical passages are about 10 times more logical and makes sense in context of the world we live in and not some imaginary world invented by Christian wishful thinking....

@Loew01 Very well then. See the problem there are so many contradictions such as the divine principle claiming that sin entered the world because Eve had sexual relations with Satan. That is not biblical as sin entered the world because Eve and Adam had disobeyed God and had eaten the forbidden fruit Gen 2:17. Plus, Moon teaches that Jesus is not God, which is a bible contradiction. The bible has everything we need.
@punch2face The idea of sin coming from a misuse of love (i.e. a sexual act) is very Biblical. The problem with the way Christians read the Bible is they read it out of context of the real world. They think the Bible defines new laws and realities that don't exist anywhere else except in the Bible. I've had this argument 100s of times, and if you answer to everything is "because the Bible says so", then I'm sorry, I already know this will be a circular logic discussion....
@Loew01 You are right in saying that "a misuse of love(a sexual act) is very biblical". Such a problem occuring between Adam and Eve and Satan is unbiblical. We use the bible and take it literally because we can differentiate between a historical account and a standing command from God himself. The bibles laws that were temporary and the ones that are eternal can be differentiated by studying the word. The eternal laws are the ones relevant for today. "thou shalt not kill" Is one of them..

So, I would think he should pass biblical tests because supposedly he is the continuation of bible prophecy right? Well I'm sorry, he doesn't. He could have, but doesn't. Have you heard our explanations about the Bible and about Rev. Moon's claims or are you basing your criticism on heresay and rumors? Yes, he should be scrutinized, but it should be done based on what he has actually said and what he actually believes, and not what other people say he believes...
@Loew01 I haven't read it as a whole but parts of it and the things that Rev Moon claims. I have seen that they contradict the Bible such as the whole origin of sin example I gave you earlier. With such an obvious contradiction and others, how can you say that he bases his claim of messiahship on the bible? I pray that the Lord inspires us both to study truth.
Rev Moon was asked by Jesus to be the Messiah for this time. Why dont you ask Jesus, if this is true? That would be the smartest thing to do, if you are really serious.

@punch2face Check your prophecy again. Rev 3:12 talks about the 'one who shall overcome' and Jesus is saying 'I will write on him my new name'. Rev 2:17 says "I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it." Rev 12:13 talks about a woman giving birth to a male child who the devil is trying to kill. Sounds like a prophecy of a new messiah to me...
@Loew013:12 is too ambigeous to indicate that it is regarding a Messiah. In fact, it's talking about those in the Philadelphia church and not specifically the Messiah. Rev 2:17 talks about those in the Church of Pergamum, not one "new messiah" as the context doesn't support it. Rev 12:13 does not indicate a NEW messiah directly. Context shows that male child is Jesus. Plus, Rev 22: "Amen, Come Lord JESUS" (not Moon) regarding the second coming.
@punch2face The context in Rev. 12:13 is referring to the end of days. Are you trying to say Jesus will be born as a male child again? It's a bit of a stretch, since that would be the only part of Revelation talking about something that happened in the past....
@Loew01 Yes Rev 12 refers to a past time there is no reason why not. One of the reasons why it is history is because if you read a little bit after the next description is the first war between God and Satan in which Satan first loses and him and his angels "lost their place in heaven". That is history. I'll have more info later on this.
Rev 22:12-16 is the answer to who is the one coming btw. Jesus, that's why in the very end of the book John says, "Amen, come Lord JESUS". Not come Rev Moon.
@brunoklotz The rest of the chapter talks about the rest of the glorious return of Christ. Not Rev Moon. Revelation 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon!" <-Jesus said that. In the very end of Revelation:"Amen. Come, Lord Jesus". See? Not Rev Moon. Jesus' mission is to return and save his people. Not send someone who is a human and a sinner like you and me. @Loew01 1 Peter 2:22 "He committed NO sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.." Context tells us that is regarding Jesus. Hebrews 4:15 "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet WITHOUT SIN." High priest=Jesus. Let me know if you need more proof that Jesus was with out sin.
@punch2face regarding Peter 2:22, I wasn't trying to argue that Jesus had sin. My point was you have an example of a man with no sin. Your argument was that ALL have sinned, yet by your own words that ALL had an exception. That means it could have another exception... or why didn't it say ALL except Jesus? That's the problem with taking a book literally. You can never avoid obvious contradictions (unless you just ignore them).
@Loew01 I suppose that is a fair question if you didn't read the context saying that we have all fallen but Jesus' blood saves us. My point was that every human has fallen short from the glory of God. Who is God? Jesus. We are saved through Jesus (which is the gospel in one sentence). So if you want to get technical all humans that were born in sin, (which was every human except Jesus who was God in flesh) fall short of the glory of God.

I really like the marriage system they have actually, after reviewing it, its pretty much they stress on purity until marriage, and they somehow succeed very well in keeping their youth virgins till marriage so they can "give everything to their wife". Then they have these what they call "Blessing Workshops" where you learn about the values of family and marriage and that its about making a commitment to a life partner, before getting the actually "blessing". The idea seems great to me!
Many people are not married recently. World peace is a household basis. Is important that the correct marriage. I think it's great for the marriage of the Unification Church.

Sun Myung Moon is in conflict with the Bible, which is the only witness as to who Jesus was. This "Jesus" that led you to Moon was not the Jesus of the Bible. Only Jesus, revealed to us through the Holy Word, can bring truth. Moon is an enemy of the Bible, and an enemy of the true Jesus.
Jesus was also accused of being in conflict with the Bible. They misused the Bible to prove that Jesus could not be the Messiah. Hope you are aware of that.

Actually, I can't think of an instance where the used the Bible to prove he wasn't the Messiah.
But that is not the point. Moon is still in conflict with the Bible. I am not misusing Scripture. Based on what I have studied in the Bible, Moon can't be the Messiah, and he can't be a prophet. It is obvious, according to Scripture, that the Word is sufficient for Christians. We don't need Moon or any other prophets. Read the Bible, everything you need is there.

If you want to protect your country, then make sure that private organisations get behind bars for kidnapping, imprisoning and raping of members of the Unification Movement. Because that is a big crime, and the government turns a blind eye, saying its a private family matter.

Those people have the RIGHT to LET someone else suggest their partner. They are NOT obliged to accept. There is no force. They are free to say no. It is their own choice to let someone else suggest their partner.
Their partner is chosen by the Rev.moon and they marry with a man/woman who have never met. I think this system is unnatural and anti social and maybe it's against international human rights laws. @brunoklotz While your thoughts on missing the messiah were thought provoking, we find the bible speaking of all these events occurring as the Messiah returns. Those things haven't happened, and that Messiah spoken of is Christ. All we need is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and we should follow him. He is the only one worthy of worship who created everything (Collosians 1:16,17). Rev Moon may be a genuine man, but just a man subject to the judgement of God.

I haven't and I wont miss his glorious second coming because the Bible indicates his manner in his coming (thesselonians 4:16,17,Rev 1:17, Mathew 24:27) The things in these verses haven't happened, and when they do, it'll be Jesus coming. You definitely won't miss his coming, no one can, I just hope you recognize that the messiah is Jesus by then.

That is not biblical as sin entered the world because Eve and Adam had disobeyed God and had eaten the forbidden fruit Gen 2:17. They think the Bible defines new laws and realities that don't exist anywhere else except in the Bible. We use the bible and take it literally because we can differentiate between a historical account and a standing command from God himself. The bibles laws that were temporary and the ones that are eternal can be differentiated by studying the word. The eternal laws are the ones relevant for today. "thou shalt not kill" Is one of them..

@punch2face Check your prophecy again. Rev 3:12 talks about the 'one who shall overcome' and Jesus is saying 'I will write on him my new name'. Rev 2:17 says "I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it." Rev 12:13 talks about a woman giving birth to a male child who the devil is trying to kill. Sounds like a prophecy of a new messiah to me...

@Loew01 3:12 is too ambigeous to indicate that it is regarding a Messiah. In fact, it's talking about those in the Philadelphia church and not specifically the Messiah. Rev 2:17 talks about those in the Church of Pergamum, not one "new messiah" as the context doesn't support it. Rev 12:13 does not indicate a NEW messiah directly. Context shows that male child is Jesus. Plus, Rev 22: "Amen, Come Lord JESUS" (not Moon) regarding the second coming.

One of the reasons why it is history is because if you read a little bit after the next description is the first war between God and Satan in which Satan first loses and him and his angels "lost their place in heaven". That is history. I'll have more info later on this.
Rev 22:12-16 is the answer to who is the one coming btw. Jesus, that's why in the very end of the book John says, "Amen, come Lord JESUS". Not come Rev Moon.

My point was that every human has fallen short from the glory of God. Who is God? Jesus. We are saved through Jesus (which is the gospel in one sentence). So if you want to get technical all humans that were born in sin, (which was every human except Jesus who was God in flesh) fall short of the glory of God.

I really like the marriage system they have actually, after reviewing it, its pretty much they stress on purity until marriage, and they somehow succeed very well in keeping their youth virgins till marriage so they can "give everything to their wife". Then they have these what they call "Blessing Workshops" where you learn about the values of family and marriage and that its about making a commitment to a life partner, before getting the actually "blessing". The idea seems great to me!

Sun Myung Moon is in conflict with the Bible, which is the only witness as to who Jesus was. This "Jesus" that led you to Moon was not the Jesus of the Bible. Only Jesus, revealed to us through the Holy Word, can bring truth. Moon is an enemy of the Bible, and an enemy of the true Jesus.

Actually, I can't think of an instance where the used the Bible to prove he wasn't the Messiah.
But that is not the point. Moon is still in conflict with the Bible. I am not misusing Scripture. Based on what I have studied in the Bible, Moon can't be the Messiah, and he can't be a prophet. It is obvious, according to Scripture, that the Word is sufficient for Christians. We don't need Moon or any other prophets. Read the Bible, everything you need is there.

Rev Moon is actually a heartwasher, not a brainwasher. He once described his mission like this: "With the Principle or by the Principle, my mission is to make new hearts, new persons."
What does that mean? It means that he is educating the world to overcome selfcentered love and to inherit the true love of God. That way the world of peace and love will come about, by divine love, a love that lives for the sake of others.
That is the mission of the True Parents.
