  • Well I am 14 years old and I it's extremly difficult for me to go to sleep I hardly ever do it and I honestly just feel like shit I usually just sleep for like 3 hours and that's it and school is the worst medicine makes me feel weird as well! And im beside drugs and alcohol but I am desperate and I heard that I can get a prescription for medical marijuana is that true?

  • Emotional consequences of sleep deprivation can be MUCH more devastating than people think. If prolonged enough, it can lead to symptoms of psychosis. It did in my case. I wonder how many OTHER people are diagnosed with psychiatric labels, simply because they were sleep deprived. Just think of how many may have been told they need to take meds for the rest of their lives because of this. I think more people need to be aware.   • It makes so much sence to me now . Cuz I'm always tired in class and it's wierd when I try to do work. Abd I don't really understand a new subject but I'm not stupid I'm about straight A. Anyway I just cried when I saw how many hours were required for my age I barley get that at all. I'm afraid what it will do to my health I haven gotten a good 7-10 hours in 3 years as I got older it got worse. Maybe it's a faze hopefully. Anyone have suggestins? Both my parents don't believe me :(.

  • I would always wake up at 3 in the morning and can't get back to sleep until 7. Then I wake up at 9 and feel really drowsy.

  • My prob is that I sleep too much. I know it sounds stupid, but I can't wake up unless I sleep for at least 12 Hours. It's weird

  • I am the same way! My doctor said that this itself is a sign of insomnia. If a person needs more than the regular average of 8 hours, the *quality* of our sleep is what suffers. We may not be getting enough REM, or cycling the right way. I'm not sure, but it's darn annoying isn't it? :<

  • Yes it is. I must get woken up and fall back asleep again and not remember it.

  • You need a sleep study! You may have a problem that can be harmful to your health. Too little or too much sleep can be harmful.

  • I wish that great late night movies weren't worth watching.. but they are totally worth it.

    Stop late night movies, people would definitely go to sleep early.
