I think if England and France would not have declear war on Germany after the Poland invasion. Germany would have invade the Soviet Union just like it happen but with no war in the West.
People need to show respect for the military people....If not for them none of us would be alive right now probably...Instead of showing respect to our corrupt government's show respect to the men & women who protect these stupid governments & die for them....

Es das gleiche in einer beliebigen Sprache. Ein Bruder ist ein Bruder, wenn es eine Sache die ich kenne.
[It's the same in any langauage. A brother is a brother if there's one thing I know.]
@DomHammer you can hope but alas more wars will always apear and there are allways countries wageing them and men dieing for what they believe is right.
In Cornelius Ryan's The Longest Day, Ryan describes a scene in which Rommel and his aids are driving towards the front after D-Day. Rommel said nothing for hours during the long car ride. The chess master had been thinking, working out moves and counter-moves for what lay ahead. When he finally spoke, he said to his aid, Lang, "Do you know that if I was in charge of the Western forces right now, I could finish this war in 14 days." Interesting that it took the western allies over 11 months.
Germany lost the war in June 1941 when it invaded the USSR. USSR is virtually solely responsible for destroying Nazi Germany. 80% of all German casualties sustained in the War came from the Eastern Front. The story of WWII in Europe is the story of Germany vs. USSR....the most epic war the world has ever known. Of course America and the other western allies played a role in Europe, but it was one of support. It helped to accelerate the war and bring it to its conclusion more quickly.
@ringleheim if germany was able to focus on the USSR, they would have crushed it, all the fronts, Europe, Africa and Russia played their part. The german war machine was overstretched. They could have managed with any of the 3, but not all.
@assassin616 The biggest mistake that Hitler has ever made was attacking the Russians ... otherwise he could've conquered all of Europe!
And btw I don't quite agree that Germany would've crushed the Soviet Union even if they fought only there, but that's another topic of conversation ...
When Churchill heard about the attack on Pearl Harbor he sat soberly for a few minutes and raised his head to his aide and said "Bring me a big cigar and a bottle of Champane we've just won the war, the Yanks are comming."
@JLC31383 well, dont forgot the germans who tried to assinate hitler, and everyone else who tried to end hitler, and to be honest, the russians stopped hitler when they invaded berlin, hence why hitler commited suicide
@JLC31383 Actually, the German soldiers were just following orders. It is extremely likely that a very large percentage did not agree, or were indifferent to Hitler's policies. And it wasn't just America, the war was only won because of the combined forces of many countries, among which were Russia, the UK, the US, however, many other countries were involve, not just those.
@SgtMustang I know the Americans did not do it alone- they had help from their allied forces. But it was their involvement that led to the success of winning against the Germans.
@JLC31383 actually it was mainly the russians who defeated the germans, america and her allies provided the perfect assistance, but in the end russia stormed germany. and then for 50 years the world lived in fear of russia :)
@LewisBelgum Without the other Allied forces fighting Germany on various fronts Russia would have fell. The German army blitzkrieged its way to within 20 miles of Moscow and if it were not for the allocation of their forces to other fronts, and the fact that they overstretched their supply lines and were unprepared for the oncoming Russian winter the Germans would have taken the Russians out. All of the allies played a crucial role in the war and America let Russia capture Berlin as revenge
ok, no one likes hitler, i dont either, and yes the german army and werhmacht, they were all brave, it wasnt their fault they went to war, it was hitlers stupid ideas of world domination, a world without jews and people with different coloured hair and eyes, he wanted a world where everyone was aryan, which means hitler was communist, because if he wanted an equal world with no jews or other religions and everyone to look the same, then everyone would be equal, like the theory of communism
@jayjay042298456 First of all, that's not funny in any way, shape or form. Second of all, that joke is WAY bast being beaten down like a horse. EVERY video over 1k views has a comment like that on YouTube. Think of something original to bid for your precious yet worthless thumbs up.

@TheRobloxfighter Thank you, a lot of people recoil or even shun me when I say my Estonian grandfather was in the Wermacht. He fought against the Russians to protect his country (which sadly fell under the control of the USSR). Then he was captured in Belgium and made a new life in England and later moved to Australia. He's a great man and I'm proud to have him as my grandfather and I don't care what anybody else thinks, he was a hard working, lovely, generous man. (As are almost all Estonians)
I'm tired of listening to damn complaints about world war 2 victims since what happened is what happened no matter how many people died, those memories will only lead to our own demise
@CaptainGPro I For-see it happening , I am american and i see bad things happening on the horizon of my nation, we fought the bully so long we have become that. I feel america is heading in a bad direction
@tristan602843 We still have to appreciate what the Allied troops did for us, as well as remember to never let it happen again. That is why we remember, so that we learn from our mistakes and not let those who gave their life for you die in vain.
@TheBioLover Graphics is the visual perception of things, it doesn't have to be a CGI, get your head out your ass and buy a fucking dictionary. Oh, and next time, don't bad mouth saving pvt ryan or else your doctor will see the graphics of what my foot will do to your ass
Yeah, I posted this video. Probably 70% of all movies that they show on cinema have a lot of graphics. So I can't understand why you said "Why the fuck would a film have graphics?"
I watched this movie today in honor of Memorial Day. I felt the fear, felt the sacrifice, felt the pride......My deepest gratitude to those who served and perished.
It still astounds me that the silly little trifle "Shakespeare in Love" took the best picture Oscar over "SPR." That was highway robbery, plain and simple.
i remember the day when i went to see this movie when it first came out in the theaters. very intense it was and brought tremendous emotions when watching it. when coming out of the theater in the end, i wondered if it was really like that back in WWII. then behind me i saw a few old couples coming out of the theater and the men were emotional. seemed proud and trying to hold back, but still giving way to emotions. i knew then it was!
@robpronk1221 ... Unlike you, I saw it once and I could never see again, deep sadness causes me, and I think I can not see again, once is enough for me. May be, because we live this life, only one time... But, that does not mean that I can not enjoy the music, 10 more times.
@28Deny Yes, but the TRUTH of battlefield where much more worse then this during the film was only a few dead bodies everywhere. Thats wrong. It was 1000s of 1000s of dead slaughted everywhere in during ohama beach. Almost of them where only gore nothing more a human being. I tell you the exactely the truth behind frontline. But the movie dident show that GORE as i expected it was. it where to much cencured. I have seen movies without cencures. That are unforgiving brutaly sign to WW2 movies.

Yeah, I posted this video. Probably 70% of all movies that they show on cinema have a lot of graphics. So I can't understand why you said "Why the fuck would a film have graphics?"

I'm lost for words. The sacrifice during this war was immense, but millions of lives were saved by taking down the fascist third Reich of Hitler.

God Bless all who served and who are serving now.

@robpronk1221 ... Unlike you, I saw it once and I could never see again, deep sadness causes me, and I think I can not see again, once is enough for me. May be, because we live this life, only one time... But, that does not mean that I can not enjoy the music, 10 more times.
Greetings !!!!!

Can this be the greatest WWII movie ever? Tell me what you think! :-)
TropickThunder100 2 years ago
@TropickThunder100 It think it is man,This movie is epic...
28Deny 1 year ago
It sure is! :-D
TropickThunder100 1 year ago
@28Deny Yes, but the TRUTH of battlefield where much more worse then this during the film was only a few dead bodies everywhere. Thats wrong. It was 1000s of 1000s of dead slaughted everywhere in during ohama beach. Almost of them where only gore nothing more a human being. I tell you the exactely the truth behind frontline. But the movie dident show that GORE as i expected it was. it where to much cencured. I have seen movies without cencures. That are unforgiving brutaly sign to WW2 movies.
