  • I watched this last night and hid for this whole last clip. (I was scared...) The only parts I saw were the gloves on the typewriter and and him getting up. I was terrified by the end of the movie, so my dad made me re-watch his "revival" and I could NOT stop laughing at how the lady died. LOL!

  • U GOTTA LUV THE FRENCH, THEY KNOW HOW 2 MAKE U SHIT YERSELF!!!

  • La meme Twiix3869 !

  • -_- vla la scene que je doit ecrire en creant du suspense --'

  • This is the way the movie is friggin supposed to end!!! Now like the way that GOD AWFUL remake ended.

  • Amazing ending. Anybody else thinks that the teacher with the moustache looks EXACTLY like randy quaid?

  • Super film comme tout les films des années 50.

  • One of the few intelligent horror movies. Since when had the ending been so unpredictable than in Les Diaboliques?

  • Can anyone help me, what camera movement is used at 3:40?

  • @RachCharproduction That would be a panoramic (PAN) movement : it's when the camera moves on its axis, not to be confused with travelling.

  • At 1.50, while looking out of the window, she looks like Sandra Bullock

  • So ironically sad that the actress Vera Clouzot died of a heart attack only 5 years after Diabolique, she had something very unique compared to the other French actresses and she was extremely beautiful in "Wages of Fear"

  • wow her tits are so visible

  • The best thriller EVER. No contest.

  • My mum let me see this as a child ,i didnt sleep for a week.

  • Jasonc624...what a moronic way to watch films.

  • @kingofmars2010 I agree, Jasonc624 is an asshoIe

  • can someone explain to me what just happened, i didnt see the movie cuz i hate wasting time in watching movies that are supposedly scary so i search them up to see the best parts of them.

  • @Jasonc624 Wow you're an idiot. First of all, did you not read the description? Second, that's just retarded.

  • I'm french and I watched this film when I was in litterature class ! I didn't remember that it was ending like that ! So great !

  • Best twist ending, by far.

However, this movie has a double twist, which you should have included. ;)

  • Jeez, how long did he have to hold his breath?!

  • 6:57 is too funny :D

  • great movie!

  • I call this movie "He PEELS HIS FREAKIN' EYES OUT" YEEEESSHHHHH. I LOVE IT!

  • Great film if looking classic horror

  • It lacks a final reply, in a scene right at the end of the film which gives it more mystery ... but I say no more!

  • Great film!

  • so great

  • Lol, pwned!

  • Thump...

  • 6:57 = Hella Funny... Ha ha ha!!!

  • @monsterviolence I definitely thought that I was the only one who laughed at that.

  • lolol 6:56

  • Who appeared at the very end? A police officer to arrest the culprit(s)?

  • I'm sorry, but it's been at least 5 years since I saw this movie so I don't remember details like that.

  • yes.

  • The inspector who already knew about the crime. Christina confessed to him before this happened.

  • oh. my. goodness. that was a definite wtf moment. now i need to rewatch the movie!

  • where can i get the movie score

  • If anyone wants an english translation, I can do it ! I'm french and very proud to share with the whole world our beautiful cinema!

  • LMAO! No way - this is the best suspense film ever made.

  • YA!!

  • This ending scares that living crap out of me...but it's so perfect.

  • You can tell that this is a French film by the fact that the heroine's nipples are visible through her nightie.

  • @weikko79 HA!

  • I think this is still the greatest psychological thriller of all time, but the basic idea was so brilliant that it would've taken a bozo to spoil it. In the film that Clouzot made prior to this one, "La Salaire de la peur", the basic idea is flawed and the entire film fails as a consequence. Hitchcock would have scrapped that film from the start, though he might've made a great film on the basis of this one.

  • Do also check out "Rififi" and "Le Corbeau".

  • Definitely. Much as I like this film, I like "Rififi" even better. And "Le corbeau" is one of my favorite films.

  • :O I had forgotten what happened at the end - such a big twist!

  • I watched this movie just yesterday and the final is absolutely creepy
