  • ALL THESE ENGINE'S CAM BEARING'S WOULD WEAR OUT//TIL THEY CHANGED THE HEAD TO A BUCKET CAM TO CHANGE OUT BEARING'S

  • that gas tank isn't original is it? I used to have one of those bikes...it was my first. what an amazing bike...I miss it so much...I got the last rebuild kit from the Honda in Canada. but after a couple years of riding the cam shaft went on it though. lamme

  • @jessetheone The gas tank is off of a tl125, it just isnt original to that bike, and I repainted it with rattle can when I was still a beginner at painting.

  • These Motorcycles go for around $1500.00 now.

  • @TL250Rider Not where I am. More like 800-1000

  • how fast do those things go? and how much do they go for?

  • @teenagetrails I don't really know, they're a trials bike so not too fast. Just depends on how they're geared. Usually around $800

  • I had a bike just like this back in the 70's, loved to ride it every day. first 3 gears like a tractor. it would go about anywhere,

  • ill try that do you know any good places to go

  • I have a 1974 tl 125 trials bike also ive been riding it for about a year i got it from my grandpa

  • You should ride vintage trials

  • well got the rod clutch lifter a few days ago but im thinking that could be a easy way of getting my problem done is to shorten the new cable but by how much ?? cuase it seems like to me that the new cable might be slightly to long than the recomend length for the stock cable but i put them side to side and they look like the same but the new cable is a hair shorter.

  • Your on thumpertalk huh. Well if it was the same length then it should be fine. Are you sure you adjusted it at the engine correctly?

  • Yah iam on thumper u to ?. and yup did all the adjustments correctly even at the enegine and so i guess i dont need to shorten the cable so the only thing that looks odd is the rod clutch lifter and the pin clutch lifter cuase the rod is apperntly suspose to move and in my case it looks like the rod is little bent and hopefuly i cant get it out and still use the pin clutch lifter ? i did the clutch on the bike many mounths ago and did that right for shure

  • Well I don't know to much about that stuff but it sounds like you know what your doing.

  • Hi I got 74 honda TL 125 as well and I replaced the clutch cable and did all the adjustments both at the lever and at the engine but still slack so wondering if u could help me out?.

  • Does the new cable appear to have the same available slack as the old cable? Or do you know if it is exactly the same or not?

  • Um yah same slack as the old one and just about the same lenght and did all the adjustments both lever and at engine i decided to pop off the cover were the clutch lever goes into and what sort of looks odd to me is that the rod clutch lifter is jamed and somehow welded itself inside the pin clutch lifter do to probly for a wile of ridding with the stretched out cable so iam guessing that i need a need those 2 parts rod clutch lifter and pin clutch lifter? iam getting the rod but the pin i need

  • where to find crankshaft for this bike? need one for mine.

  • I don't really have a source, but I would check ebay once in awhile.

  • i love my TL, only problem with it, is i dont love it as much as you do, mine is bolloxed up against the wall in my back garden after i crashed it in the woods on a trail and snapped my clutch lever in half, buckled the handle bar and managed to cease the engine after leaving it out of use for a week and a half.. yay for reliable motorcycles and...caring owners :D

  • sweeeeeeeeet bike

  • Cool A great fun Motorcycle

  • nice i have a 200cc 1987 honda tlr reflex but its in the shop..im getting the engine rebuilt because the head was wore out (the people who owned it before me is who wore it out)...but the weird thing is..when i baught it..i baught it for $400...everything worked and was in good shape except the seat..all we got to do was clean the carb. out....the thing is..the bike had 631 miles on it...good origanal tires and all..i dont see how the engine could get that wore out that quick..

  • Sounds like an old lister diesel [ cement mixer]---lol.

  • wheres the back box mate looks pretty clean thou
