I meant 4kids changed everything about the movie. Mewtwo wasn't a villain in the japanese version, per say more of an anti-hero or lost soul.

Now I'm with you, they didn't just change Mewtwo's words, they changed everyone's words to villainize him. It probably has a bit to do with the English (I mean English-speaking people in general) rating system. They probably thought it would be beyond the grasp of a seven-thirteen year old to grasp that deep a concept, so they just made him bad.

He bites, he claws and he slashes with his tail, but mostly the violent one is charizard, in the kanto pokemon league Ash used him against (god I've forgotten the guy's name, he has a pikachu, a butterfree and a charmander named zippo in the anime) anyway Zippo is a charizard and ash's charizard goes into a battle rage and tries to tear Zippo's throat out. Spills blood and terrifies the spectators.

HJe's like a pokemon version of sephiroth wwhen it comes to pure power. And he even acts similar to sephiroth as well. Though e probably based of vincent valentine personality wise since final fantasy & was before the First pokemon movie. Though he kinda looks and has similar powers to Kuja from FF9 I noticed.

I would have to agree. I'm a big FF7 fan too. I would say that Mewtwo is a combo of Sephiroth, Vincent, and maybe Cloud. Sephiroth, like you said, for pure power and just plain scary at times, Vincent for the secret and unknown exterior, and Cloud for his wanting to be a nice person, but still in the darkness thing. I'm not familiar with Kuja, but the rest seems dead on so I guess you're right on him too. ^_^
